  1. QUOTE (north side chi sox fan @ Jun 20, 2008 -> 03:39 PM) It's 2.97 now. Make more sense now? He scares me about the same as a pitcher with a 4.97 ERA.
  2. Everytime I watch a Cubs game, which isn't often, they seem to come back to win it.
  3. I was surprised to see Lilly start pitching this inning. I thought they would've pinched hit for him.
  4. Juan Uribe, pinch hitting extrodinaire
  5. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 20, 2008 -> 03:13 PM) Wow, this is twice with 2 outs and a guy on that they're going to pitch to BA with Danks on deck. Shows what the Scrubs think of him. They probably think Zambrano is a better hitter than Anderson.
  6. ok Joe, so you don't swing at the one that could've been called a strike, then you swing at the ball away and in the dirt.
  7. nice double, let's manufacture this run.
  8. That was the biggest delay of a strike 3 I've seen in a while.
  9. at least it was a double play.
  10. Big Swing Lyle Mouton the first White Sox to hit a home run in this series. Pretty cool.
  11. So you're the reason why the Sox lost the 8 game winning streak. You jinxed them. Haha just kidding, good article.
  12. Crazy to see to two teams playing against each other both score 6 in the same inning. Great win.
  13. The White Sox are first in the American League in run differential at 82 over and only trail the Cubs and Phillies in the MLB.
  14. happy birthday
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 19, 2008 -> 10:32 AM) Well...to be fair...last year, who was hitting at the bottom of the order that would be on base to actually give Owens the chance at an RBI? Uribe? Gonzalez? Terrero? Hall? Richar (who took a month to learn how to hit big leaguers at all) well I know that the offense was horrible last year, but it's still pretty odd to see a big leaguer go that many at bats without an RBI.
  16. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jun 19, 2008 -> 11:12 AM) Forget the All-Chicago team, I drool over the possibility of a Cubs / Sox World Series. Hellz Yea! As long as the Sox win the World Series it's fine by me.
  17. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 16, 2008 -> 09:40 PM) I'm guessing final damage totals will be a couple billion. Oh yeah, with the way almost all the bigger cities in Iowa were nailed, it's gonna be a couple billion. We didn't have drinkable water in Mason City for about a week, but we were pretty lucky even though we were the first "bigger city" in Iowa to get the flooding. But the flooding wasn't too bad with the Winnebago River compared to other towns that got the Cedar River and Iowa River, and now the Mississippi River. It's horrible to see some of these small towns like Columbus Junction (which sits at the merger of the Cedar and the Iowa) get nailed. Hopefully they can rebuild the town.
  18. QUOTE (Noberto Martin @ Jun 17, 2008 -> 01:57 PM) Owens doesn't deserve to be called up because he is awful, I'm not saying Dewayne Wise is any good but Jerry Owens can't hit the ball out of the infield. Wise probably won't see much time, we'll see a lot of BA/Alexie in center and Uribe(ugh)/Alexie at 2nd. I also wouldn't be surprised to see Thome get a start at 1B in an NL game..... That is NOT true, Owens has 1 career home run so he has hit the ball out of the infield, haha. But yeah, I think it took about 100 at bats for Owens to finally get his first RBI. I don't have the confidence in Owens being the leadoff hitter on this team.
