  1. cmon Crede, if that somehow costs us the game I'm gonna be very angry.
  2. Crede seems to be either completely on at the plate or completely off.
  3. lol I thought I saw that as well, but I thought he must've been holding up a different finger because A. Who would be that stupid to do that? and B. Why would FOX show that?
  4. I think all 5 AL Central teams won tonight.
  5. Yeah I meant Swisher at 1st. I don't mind the Dye to DH either. I might be best if Konerko plays some 1B and Dye plays some RF. Swisher playing LF and 1B. Quinten plays RF and LF. Obviously this is a lot of moving for 3 players, but I would assume one of the options would be the dominant option so the other would not happen as often.
  6. I'll pick Dye, that guy has been on fire lately.
  7. Yeah I would prefere him to not be back, and I hate to say that because he is a class act, but I would prefere Konerko to DH with Swisher at CF.
  8. I've always wondered if there was a lot of difference between the Twins and White Sox interleague schedule. There was a small discussion about it last night in the game thread so I decided to do some research over the past 7 full seasons. Although 2003 and 2004 would've been a lot closer, if not a White Sox division crown with a more even schedule. I found out that there isn't a lot of difference between the two teams. I ran out of time to go more in depth with interleague records for each team because I have to be at work in 15 minutes. 9. tomorrow we could lose the division lead. 2 weeks ago we were 6.5 up, what a terrible turn around.
  10. we also got the Pirates and they go the division leading Diamondbacks, but once again, the Diamondbacks are playing horrible right now. Part of the schedule is playing the teams at the right time.
  11. QUOTE (CWSOX45 @ Jun 25, 2008 -> 10:27 PM) Granted we've played like crap, but I can't stand these interleague matchups. Minnesota has had the luxury of playing the Nationals and Padres. What a complete joke. Why are they even playing Washington? Why did we play Colorado. These matchups are just stupid. In the past 5 or 6 years I think only once have we had an easier interleague schedule than Minnesota. I always look into that. Partially it was because the Brewers were bad and the Cubs were good, but other teams it seems like they get a break on as well.
  12. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 25, 2008 -> 03:48 PM) Why not hold off on the decision and send Anderson down to AAA where he can get significant ab's (knowing that Wise will be the primary backup in the OF with Ramirez being able to fill in). If there are any serious injuries, you just call Anderson back-up and at that point decide between Pablo/Uribe. THANK YOU. I was thinking this and hoping someone would say it. With Ramirez and Wise doing pretty well, and both can play center, to me he should be sent down to have some more at bats. Swisher is probably going to be back at center fairly soon as long as Konerko comes back. Actually, I don't like the idea of having 12 pitchers on the team, but that's Ozzie's decision. I would rather send Russell down when Konerko is healthy.
  13. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 25, 2008 -> 09:28 AM) Djovick upset by Safin. I don't think anyone saw that coming. Heck, Safin's post match interview was great, they asked him what he thought of the remaining draw and he said to be honest, I saw I played Dojavick in the 2nd round and didn't look past that. lol Safin's awesome. It kind of sucks how he fell off the list of top players because he has the skills still. I always root for him and Hewitt.
  14. Nice to see the Tigers and Indians lose. It would've been awesome to see the Twins lose but it looks like they're going to win. The Royals are on fire, I usually root for them unless they're playing the Sox, but if they keep this up, I might have to start rooting against them.
  15. Woo hoo, my hometown Globe Gazette newspaper gets mentioned on soxtalk, haha. But that picture near Orchard is unbelievable. It's about 30 miles from my town, and only 5 miles from the place I have an internship at, Osage. Anyways people were calling City Hall in Osage asking about the picture. Even someone from the Minneapolis Star Tribune asked to use the picture in their newspaper, however I do not know if they did or not.
  16. I hate All Star voting. Hamilton and probably Mauer are the only two starters that deserve to be there. To me Mauer is even stretching it. You could argue Pedroia as well, but Youkalis, Jeter, Ortiz? Come on now.
  17. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 24, 2008 -> 11:32 PM) They said he rebuilt his swing and has hit much better. I believe they said he modeled it after JD Drew? as long as the injuries don't come with the JD Drew model I'm fine with it.
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 24, 2008 -> 10:03 PM) Nice first post I don't know if I've seen as much emphasis on the first post ever as that one was.
  19. side note, I hate the Cubs, they're threatning to comeback to win this game.
