White Sox vs. Cubs, 6/22/07 (L)

It took 3 outs to reinjure Kerry Erstad. I wonder how many outs it will take to first sap Mark Podsednik of his speed, and then reinjure another groin. -

QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Jun 22, 2007 -> 04:20 PM) I think it will be interesting to see who will actually be left on this team once KW gets done trading.... Kenny is pretty aggressive. As much as people think he cant do it, I dot. I think if he decides to rebuid. Once he flips that switch. He will change this team drastically. Sit back, and strap it down. This is going to be an interesting time for the whitesox future. -

So in 05 we had a bad offense. I never thought I would see something worse than that. Then the 07 fecalball started. Yikes. -

If one of our guys hits a dong off of Zambrano. They should ham it up as much as possible. In fact, when they near home plate. They should hit the ground, and do an elbow over elbow craw like the minor league Atlanta coach. And follow it up. with a tap tap kiss to the sky. That should enrage the nut enough to render him completely useless for the rest of the game. -

The guys might want to try the line drive swings this afternoon, instead of the Dan Ryan swings. -

QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Jun 22, 2007 -> 03:39 PM) so what? we can afford to have big $$ pitchers like Buehrle and Garland. Then, have your Danks and Gio who make nothing and then Vaz or another guy. But when you have two guys like Mark and Jon who never miss a start, why would you not resign them or keep them? Mark, offer the $$ KW and see what he says. If he says no, trade his ass. But Garland should be kept. How many times has Garland been in trade talks. He is nearly traded each offseason. -

If they dont get up for this fist pumping, mound stomping, pointing to the sky tool, nothing will get a rise out of this team. -

QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Jun 22, 2007 -> 03:33 PM) Why we we trade our Garland? He is signed cheaply (for the market) and he actually goes out there and pitches well. I don't care who you get, the player that comes back will not pitch like Garland. He is a FA after next year, has averaged 18 wins and will just make silly money after next year. They have tried to trade him how many times. He is your best trading chip. For me, he is a sinkerballer and that plays well here. He is someone that I would keep. But you cant fault he is the highest upside of mucho high end specs. -

Grinderstad makes a diving catch. 1 out. Buerhle needs to calm down, and not get rocked. -

QUOTE(kane0730 @ Jun 22, 2007 -> 02:37 PM) Great, more of Uribe. Uribe could take a dump on the field, and would still play. -
QUOTE(IowaSoxFan @ Jun 22, 2007 -> 02:14 PM) By trading the first SP of the year the Tigers have set the price for an end of the rotation starter. Depending on what they get back that will show what the market is for a starting pitcher. Any deal that KW makes he will need to get back whatever the Tigers got proporionate to how much better Buerhle is than Maroth. They set nothing. Mike Maroth is a crappy pitcher coming off an injury. The Tigers are dumping him, because Kenny is coming off the DL and their system is loaded with pitching. Even mentioning Buerhle and Maroth in the same sentence is a joke. Maroth is more of the "Traschel" type 3rd tier poop thats available. Buerhle is a legit stud, and should get us back stud type rewards.

For your regulary schedule dumb cub fan trade talks. I had lunch with a cub fan, he says Buerhle will be a cub in a week. I said well you dont have the horses to backup that trade. You dont have the prospects. He looks at me dumbfounded and says. What are you talking about, the Cubs have the best minor league system in all of baseball. I spit out my water, and he said. Whats wrong, you dont know that. LOL -
Buehrle Wants a Five Year Contract
southsideirish71 replied to Gregory Pratt's topic in Pale Hose Talk
To me when I think of what a young pitcher should aspire to be from a mental makeup its Mark Buerhle. He is a bulldog, a guy who goes out and competes. He is also a very likeable personality. I will miss him from a competitor standpoint, and from a persona standpoint. He is one of those players you can get behind. However the sox have a 3 year rule. Throwing a baseball overhand is not a natural thing. The minute you start to throw overhand you start to strain your body. Now granted Mark is not a max effort guy, however he has a lot of innings under his belt. And I can guarantee you that last years dead arm period for the entire 2nd half scared the sox away from making an exception. For better or worse when it comes to pitchers, the sox have made the right decision on their 3 year rule. I cant think of a pitcher who has left, who has dominated for years once he leaves the sox. Mark maybe the first, but you never know. If Mark really really wanted to be here, he would of instructed his agent to contact the sox about an extension and they would of negotiated. But Mark, and for no fault of his own, wants to see what he can get. I cant blame him. I would do the same thing. We all get wrapped up into personalities, and names. They change all the time. When a Frank Thomas, Robin Ventura, Alex Fernandez, Wilson Alvarez, Jack McDowell and all can move on, you can see that its not just one superstar. Its a process of Free Agency. I just hope we can get a good package of talent that can start to help us right this ship for the long term. -
QUOTE(BobDylan @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 02:04 PM) Okay, this problem is really getting on my nerves so I've brought it here to see if anyone has a solution or an idea. I've got a Toshiba Satellite A105-s4064 notebook. Recently the left click on the touchpad has stopped working. So far I've cracked the case open to check if a connection was loose and one is not. I also checked the drivers, updated and still no luck. When I plug in a wireless mouse, both clicks work fine. The right click on the touchpad works great. The touchpad itself works great. Just the left click is essentially worthless right now. Any ideas? Its kind of a touchy issue. It could be as easy as getting some compressed air and give it a twice over. Sometimes food or other items can get in there. But with what you have tried and all it might be either the trackpad itself, the ribbon connection to the motherboard or the motherboard itself. Its hard to find field replacement units on the open market for the trackpad. You are probably better off getting a wireless mouse and using that in the long run.

Post Your Questions for RHP Gavin Floyd

QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 02:14 PM) Floyd or Egbert. I don't want to see Massett start for this team, I would like to see him go to Charlotte to get more work out of the pen. Masset looks pretty good when he gets extended time, and not as a short reliever. Steve Stone was on the other day, saying how Massets future is as a starter and he should be a pretty good one.
