  1. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 16, 2007 -> 03:31 PM) Iguchi/Uribe contingency plan? Maybe setting up a move with iguchi. Maybe being able to finally park Uribe and his dormant ass on the bench when he decides to dog it in the field and swing for the fence and K 3 times.
  2. Cunningham wasnt exactly dominating his league. This kid that we picked up, has plus speed, and plays 2nd and SS. This is to get us faster. He is young, and is just about ready to go. This kind of move doesnt upset me at all.
  3. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Jun 16, 2007 -> 11:57 AM) And how did that work out? And you guys want prospects? Nice. Well I personally want Carlos Beltran, but I think their GM might say no to that.
  4. God my parents had it all wrong. Instead of the long process of coming over here legally, becoming a citizen and all. My father should of snuck my mother over the border right before my birth. She should of had me somewhere within the US and poof I am a US citizen. That would of saved some time and some paper work. My god do you realize the amount of money we could of saved in taxes by not having to pay them. I wouldnt of had to pay any medical insurance all this time. That plus free schools would of been killer. Now granted we would of felt guilty when we stole someone elses identity and all so we could have social security information to fake like we were here free. I am going to yell at my father for wasting the families money, and wasting our time going through all that to get citizenship. God we could of been here scott free, and then just paid a small fee and boom everything is taken back.
  5. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 16, 2007 -> 12:21 AM) So who are some possible candidates to take over if Walker's head is indeed on the chopping board? Paul Molitor, what is he doing these days.
  6. QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Jun 15, 2007 -> 09:37 PM) SSI, I think your last post said "HIT THE BALL", the Bucs did. Did you flip over some baseball cards during the game? I didnt watch the game. I went out, had a few drinks and now I am going to a movie. Its a great experience taking a break.
  7. Presenting your 2007 Fecalball Professional Baseball team. The Royals obviously have turned over their status to our team. By next week if we keep playing like this, we will be in 5th place.
  8. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Jun 15, 2007 -> 09:31 AM) Too bad for you. I know you need to see someone getting fired so it at least looks like a change is happening. I wish you the best in your pursuit of this dream. Too bad for the team. I have a question for you. How do you evaluate a hitting coaches job. Last in all of the major leagues for 2 1/2 months. I mean the Dodgers canned their hitting coach for performance and to shake things up. They have 100 more hits, 20 more doubles, are hitting over 20 points more than us. They play in a huge pitchers park that stymies offense, and they have no DH.
  9. Great its going to get a chance to f*** up our young hitters for a while. WTF ''That would send the wrong message right now,'' Guillen insisted Wednesday. ''The only way I'm going to fire my coaches is they don't do what they're supposed to. I'll say this: All the coaches we have here, they have more passion than the players. What does that tell you? 'You have to see Greg Walker's face during the game. He's so disappointed watching this every day. He takes it home. Cooper, too. That's how passionate we are.'' In 04 we had a decent offense considering everything. In 05 their offense sucked. In 06 in the first half their offense was awesome, in the 2nd half it was medicore In 07 they are historically bad.
  10. If you want to listen to North and his nasally voice, here you go.
  11. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Jun 15, 2007 -> 12:38 AM) I'd probly answer that question the same way. North's garbage. He was probably a good hotdog salesman. He should go back to that. Because he sucks as a host.
  12. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 15, 2007 -> 12:00 AM) Hey, I can sympathize with you a little, but what you did was still immature, as immature and dishonest as anything she did. Glad you didn't get AIDS. (Assuming you didn't.) Hope you didn't. (It's such a terrible disease. And I know from good, close, second-hand sources.) You can say what I did was spiteful, sure I will buy that. But that is all you can say on it. Saying that what she did is equal to my retailiation is a joke. Have someone take 25k from you. Find out about it say a month before your wedding date. Oh btw the 25k doesnt include my wedding reception for 150. Oh and the reason I caught her in the first place, the silly b**** was fired from her job, was acting like she was going to work everyday, and then was coming back after I went to work, and then would have naked time until a few hours before I came home. I called her work, and the voicemail was finally changed when they hired someone new. Thank god for that. One more crazy thing, and this makes no sense. I got a call about 4 months later from the Wayside chapel trying to get money from me for a missed wedding. I was supposed to get married in the church. When I called up the Wayside chapel, they said that my ex and some man that was supposedly me came in, signed documents and were planning on getting married. That is crazy wierd.
  13. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 14, 2007 -> 06:32 PM) That's sad. Well the b**** stole 15k, plus a 10k ring. That was sad. Me sweating aids tests for the next few years because of the first girl I didn't have safe sex with, my pseudo future wife who turned out to be a dirty whore. Now that was sad. A splash in the face, and a laugh and the boot from me was priceless.
  14. I will try to keep this as clean as I can, but it will be hard. My ex-fiancee a liar, a cheat, and it turns out a demon from hell was banging her boss, probably everyone else also. She stole some money from me. ***TIP TO ALL*** Make sure that you make your financial decisions based on sanity, not how flexible or depraved your fiancee is. Well after catching her in the act, I found out that she had stolen a good amount of money. So I hatched this plan, of trying to get my money back. I would pretend to be with her, and then act nice and convince her to get my money back. Stupid yes, but with a funny ending. After a month of being nice I realized that the demon wasn't going to give me my money without legal help. So I hatched a good plan to give her a romantic day of fun. I took her to the lake, we had a romantic picnic and the day was very nice. I took her home, and told her I still loved her and wanted her to be the mother of my children. She was touched. Very touched it seemed. I fended off the sex, talk about hard to do, but I was worried about the slim chance of pregnancy. So she still wanted to take care of me, and she did. And in her blinded state(you figure out why) afterwards, I told her that I was leaving. She screamed, and stumbled trying to get her vision back, you had me do that dirty act and then you told me you wanted to break up. I laughed and said well, I had to remember you for what you are. A foul and dirty whore. It was very appropriate the state I had left her. I told her she had until 5 o'clock tomorrow to get her s*** out or I was having it sold. She wound up marrying some goof after 2 months of dating him. It took me a while after to find someone worth trusting.
  15. QUOTE(WCSox @ Jun 14, 2007 -> 03:57 PM) Possibly, but don't pitchers typically drop down a little to get more break on their splitters? (Heard that on the radio yesterday, but it was from Dusty Baker, so it very well may be wrong ). IIRC, that would shift the stress from the rotator cuff to the elbow. A splitter is something that the more over the top you go the better. You pull down on the pitch pretty hard and snap your wrist to get a backspin, that makes the ball drop. On a forkball you spread your fingers out a bit more and dig deeper into the ball more, the spin almost has a knuckleball look to it. Dropping down is not a good idea with a splitter. The more on top of the pitch you are, the more likely you are to get the tumble action you are looking for.
  16. QUOTE(Vance Law @ Jun 14, 2007 -> 04:29 PM) How would Crede do (defensively) playing shortstop next season? Serviceable? League average? Better than Jeter? LMAO Thanks for making my day. Before that we can try Thome out at catcher.
  17. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Jun 14, 2007 -> 03:29 PM) because KW is stubborn and won't call it a season until midway through July. Or because Minnesota came back from a similar deficit a year ago. Or because Cleveland came back from an even greater deficit after the all-star break in 2005 and got to within like a half game. So, he is going to think the Sox have a shot at it. The problem is that the White Sox definitely don't have the youth that both of those teams had, and it certainly doesn't appear as though the White Sox have enough talent in their minor league system. How about this, if we "go for it" and burn whats left of the minors this year, they can stuff their renewal invoice that they will send me. Stubborn or not, that is just stupid business practice. You have a chance to reload for next year and you have no chance at this year. You have major problems. Not just a fixable singularity. You would need to get a few bullpen guys. Not just one. Then how to do fix the offense. How many hitters do they need. The tigers need a pitcher or 2 in pen. Thats it. They have a very deep minor league system. So they have the bullets, and the money to do it. The Indians need some help in the pen. They have a deep minor league system. Again the bullets. We need an offense and relief. Thats a lot of bullets to blow to rebuild your team in the middle of the season.
  18. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jun 14, 2007 -> 03:23 PM) When you have the Sox record, it more than just the hitting coach not getting the job done. Why is it you give Ozzie, KW and Cooper a pass? Coop's starting pitching has been pretty good this year. The bullpen is a disaster. There are no long track records for the guys we put into the pen outside of MacDougal. Walk, the entire lineup, and as he has already said many a time with his "flip their baseball cards comments", they have a long record of major league success. First move, fire the hitting coach. We are ranked 30th in baseball in hitting.
  19. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Jun 14, 2007 -> 03:02 PM) next week, and the Sox will be buying just a hunch If they buy and go for it this year, KW should resign. 10 games out and a bullpen filled with filth. No hitting at all from everyone. Its time to bury the body, before its stinks around here.
  20. Hopefully this will give KW the foundation to ditch the Walk the new slogan for a hitting coach replacement. DITCH THE WALK
  21. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jun 14, 2007 -> 01:40 PM) This is Murray's second time getting fired mid season as a hitting coach. If you are reading KW, I am going to recommend we not replace Murray with Walker. I wouldn't hire Murray if you told me he was for free. But I think its funny that he gets canned for his team hitting 30 points more than our team in a pitching park, hitting 39 more doubles than our team, and more than a 100 hits more than our team. And we have a DH. Murray gets fired, our coach gets promotional pieces about how he is the best in the world and you cant possibly fire him.
  22. The Dodgers just fired Eddy Murray their hitting coach. I wonder why they did that, because hitting coaches dont do anything and pretty much only benefit a team. They have veteran hitters who know how to hit. He had success last year as they lead the NL in on base percentage and hit .276. Dont they flip their baseball cards and see what it says last year. Maybe he didnt inform him about the perfect storm. So it must be a mistake that they fired him. How can they fire him. He doesnt do anything.
  23. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 14, 2007 -> 11:28 AM) Aren't you the one who's always all over the hitting approach on our team and the swings and Walker and now you're talking about Fields not needing more polish? First of all, the IL sucks. Second, his approach is obviously bad. Who says he isn't going to get a good look? Ozzie just said something to motivate him, and if he meant it -- that Fields had better hit better or Mack/Gonzo would play for him -- then so be it. And even if your comment was tongue in cheek, I'll bet you meant it. There are so many people here who jump all over Ozzie as a racist or having racist preferences, and judging from your comments, you meant it. Fields has a swing that needs some work. But who exactly in the minors is going to help him. If he is doing well and hitting well against the IL then what exactly do you think is the benefit of keeping him down there. We need to fire Walker, get a new hitting coach that can start with our young ins and help them out. I want to see Fields with either some repairs with his swing, or him figured out as a bust. But I dont want to see Mack at 3rd with Gonzales because we are afraid of seeing what we have. I would have loved to have seen what Walt Hrniak would of done with Brian Anderson has year. All of our prospects have the same hole in their swing when they come up. Its not being fixed in the minors, and still they are doing well. Bring them up here, let them take their lumps this year while the season isnt on the line and move forward. I would rather they learn how to hit this year, then in a year when we are playing for something.
