QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 11:51 PM) Hawk's in love with "muscle memory" lately. What an old announcer does in the privacy of his hotel room shouldnt be on the TV. -

Here is a silly lineup question. Wouldnt of been more prudent to have Kong DH, and say Erstad play 1st. We may not be in the situation now with having Ozuna in LF if we thought a bit before we put Stad as the DH. -

I am hoping for a sider over the middle. His long looping swing will rip that into the fountains. -

Uribe is to plate discipline = a 3 year old near a cookie jar You could hit the mascot and he would swing at it. -

Thank God for the Royals crapacular bullpen. The best trade of the offseason for the Royals was sending Ambriox Burgos the hell away from Kaufman. He could get people out. -

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 11:35 PM) Let's see how Kansas City handles the slippery, slick free tundra that is the Kansas City outfield. You would think that it's impossible to clearly field a ground ball out there. Let's just see how they'll players handle it. Why is Ozuna out in LF? Dye better be on his death bed. If this Ozzie's cute idea of getting one of his buddies in the field I will scream. -

QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 11:33 PM) Oh STFU, DJ and Hawk. This Royals team is just not good, stop making excuses. They have won one series all year long. Lets not make them into the 27 yankees. -

We pitch to other teams, like we are facing ourselves. Here is a clue. Other teams adjust if you go away away away. Just put up a lawn chair AJ. And is sitting out there having them pitch away from contact. Cue the clown music. -

QUOTE(Wanne @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 11:25 PM) Regardless....that was strike friggin 3. Terrible call. Yeah but AJ kept going out there over and over and over. they adjusted at shot the ball the other way. How about changing the eye level a bit. -

Why did Ozzie decide to put Ozuna in LF. I missed this bringing my laptop up from the basement. Mack in LF, then poof I see Ozuna booting a ball. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 11:09 PM) Cubs fans are already pencilling him into their lineup next year. These are the same dolts who had their WS rings all ready after the Ted Lilly pickup. -

QUOTE(beautox @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 11:05 PM) honestly, id rather the sox stick with one of erstad/podsednik and trade the other, trade brian, sign Jones, and bring up sweeney to play RF LF Erstad/Podsenik CF Jones RF Sweeney ideally Cunningham continues to develop and by 09 starts in LF. Screw Jones. Get Ichiro. That fits a need more than Jones does. He can leadoff. He is a hard guy to strikeout. He hits lefties as well as righties. He can steal. And he plays good defense with a great arm. -

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 10:59 PM) Honestly, I completely agree. At times, I just think you blame Walk too much. I blame both the players and the coaches. Its a system wide approach. Look at how we have drafted players for a long time. Football player types, s*** some of them played college football. Then we moved the fences in. turning it into one of the most homer friendly parks in baseball. You have a combination of meathead hitting approaches with guys who want to go on sportscenter. And you also have a system wide approach to hitting. I would like it first rebuilt at the minor league level, with guys who can work on a nice line drive swing. I would like to see baseball players drafted, not football players. I just get a kick out of how just about every pitcher goes low and away. And we have a hitting coach, and an assistant hititng coach who specializes in video. And we cannot prepare enough to beat some of these crappy pitchers who pitch away from contact. -

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 10:57 PM) This is what I like to call the ssi71 special. If we took this approach with men in scoring position and less than 2 outs this offense would be filthy. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 10:54 PM) Ozzie wil let Javy start this inning likely. Can he keep the ghost of the 6th inning away? He is okay in the 6th inning now. Its the scary 1st that our pitchers need to get out of these days. -

Now a sexy line drive up the middle by BA. This is what you are supposed to do with low and away.
