QUOTE(rangercal @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 01:07 PM) and if that last foul ball were a grand slam, half this board (probably you too) would be having an orgasm over him right now. :rolly If my aunt had balls she would be my uncle. -

Farmer just said "If the white sox are going to go to the playoffs they will have to earn it" Well the announcers have given up. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 01:04 PM) Might as well put our lead 1/2 game less than it is now, cause we won't beat Santana next time we face him. Until we get some hitters who dont have long looping swings we will never ever ever beat santana. -

QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 01:02 PM) That inning just kind of highlights in big bold letters how we have been playing lately. WE SUCK! Bases loaded and nobody out and then 3 straight K's and we lose. Some real pathetic at bats today. Dye with a hat trick 4 k's in 4 at bats. Crede 3 k's in 3 at bats and Rowand 3 k's in 4. If they closed their eyes and just blindly swung at the ball they have a better chance at hitting the ball. No f***ing chance. -

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 12:31 PM) Juan Uribe now has 15 extra base hits in September. That's the most extra-base hits in a month by a Sox hitter this season. There are still 13 games left to be played in Sept. Thanks Walt Hrniak and his leg kick hitting trigger. -

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 12:20 PM) Cmon KC. YOu have to beat Cleveland just once this weekend. Cleveland got the memo, KC is the worst team in baseball. They will sweep them. We however have our number one and number 2 pitches s*** the bed, and our closer give up a bunch of hits. We scored a bunch of runs against the worst pitching staff in baseball and some people on here thought our offense was fixed. Run the Charlotte Knights out there and they will put up a 5-9 spot against the Royals. -

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 12:00 PM) Hat eto say it, but we actually didn't lose that much power in the offseason. We lost Ordonez, but replaced him with Dye, who has put up nearly Identical power numbers. We lost Lee, but replaced him by adding Iguchi and replacing Davis with Pierzynski. We lost Valentin, but replaced him with Uribe. We have a Carl Everett who was actually in shape to start the season...and we added in about 10 dingers from Frank. Seriously...the biggest difference between our power numbers this year and our power numbers last year is people not putting up the numbers they did last year - ARow, Crede, Uribe...all of them are down in power #'s from last year. We were going to lose a few home runs...but by putting Dye in RF and putting AJ behind the plate, we were going to make up the majority of it. We took two 300+ hitters and replaced them with guys who hit 30 points less as their career average. -

The funny s*** about this season is that for the last few years we have had plenty of offense but no pitching. You take this years pitching staff and you put it on last years or the 2003 team, and we win over 100 games. But now we have great pitching outside of a few, and no f***ing offense. We get 4 hit or worse than any other team. Our offense is ranked at the bottom of the AL in OBP, singles, doubles, triples, etc. But oddly we will still break 200 homers. Even with losing all that power from last year. -

The indians didnt start Timo Perez for all of August. In fact the only team outside of an Ozzieball team that he would play for is the Royals. What team would have Everett as their 3 hole hitter outside of us. Remember all the talk about having a few automatic outs at the end of the lineup was okay because they can throw some leather. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 11:47 AM) I still want to know if Santana is so amazing, how did the Indians beat him? they have a good offense, not a bunch of stiffs swinging for the fences. -

At this point, Pull the starters and see what team B can do. This game is over. Put Anderson, Borchard, Gload in. See if one of them can do something. Anderson for Ozuna, Borchard for Dye, and Gload for Everett and the piano he is running with. -

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 11:30 AM) Well if Bmac is starting the next game why is that a waste. Gives him time to get some work in today before he starts in 5 days. He should of started this game, but our fearless leader forgot the part in his bulls*** press conference when he got hired about playing the game the right way. If 100+ pitches through 3.2 innings giving up 4 runs giving up 8 or more hits is playing the game the right way, then he should of managed the f***ing royals. they play like that all the time. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 11:21 AM) What a f***ing joke. Duque better not start another f***ing game for the White Sox this season. Now we are going to waste McCarthy here. He should of f***ing started this game, but our fearless leader decided he needed to give a cookie to El Duque. -

Perfect game through 4. God our offense is so f***ing bad. This offseason they need to get higher OBP, line drive type guys. This long looping swing formula gets us the 200+ homers, but sucks when we face good pitching. All we do is K and look bad and barely scrape a few hits together.
