QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 11:08 AM) Garcia said he was fit to start last night. He was fit last start also. How did that work out for him. -

QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 11:02 AM) Is is just me or does Santana give the sox the biggest fits out of all the teams he faces? It's almost a no hitter for this f*** everytime against us. We have free swinging hitters with low OBP and high strikeout rates. Our long looping swings foul off pitches that should be hit into play, and completely miss the good pitches. We also dont shorten our swings up with 2 strikes at all no matter who we face. This is why crappy pitchers put up 5+ ks against this team. Its a formula for a no hitter. I am actually surprised he hasnt no hit us yet. -

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 10:58 AM) Hey, guys on our team...y'all see that? He bunted. He's on base. Wow! Pablo will pop up the bunt to the catcher. Thats how our execution has been lately. We got 2 hit last night by a Rookie last night. I am expecting a no hitter to go into the 7th inning for our team. -

If the theory is swing as hard as you can so if you make contact you make hit the solo dong, then take Ozuna out and put in borchard. He at least has power. -

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 10:40 AM) actually, Santana is prone to giving up Dingers... The best way to attack him may be to just Swing for the fences and hope for the best. Actually watching teams that have beaten Santana over the last few years. They try and hit the fastball the other way. This way when they get the change they dont pull it foul, and a lot of times the change winds up over the left field fence. -

Maybe someone can get the new idea of shortening up the swing on two strikes to make contact. But f*** that, why would we do that, full long looping swing cuts today. 15ks for Santana 1 hit -

The only ray of hope is that Minny's offense is in the same league as ours. -

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 10:25 AM) El duque has already thrown more pitches than Santana. And this shocks you. Santana will have less pitches by the 5th inning than El Duque has by the 3rd. -
AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!!!!!!&#

QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 08:38 PM) we got 3 hits in nine innings. can we suck it up, start over and win this game?? Somebody be a leader and whack a leadoff shot down the line or draw a walk!!! They have been trying to hit solo shots for the entire game. Thats the problem Just string a few hits together. Maybe a single, a bunt and another single. -

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 08:33 PM) Standing O for Marte.... We're going to need that pitcher down the stretch if we have any playoff aspirations at all. We need a few of the so called hitters putting some ABs together to scratch a run across. -

Marte faces two hitters and is now gone. The only one that thinks Marte is a LOOGY is Ozzie. -

Maybe at some point this organization can find line drive type hitters instead of our guys who seem to love to dip that shoulder and try to golf it over the fence. -

It might be nice if our hitters would take a pitch and make this kid work. Arow, Uribe and others are swinging at the first pitch. There was an inning earlier where it was 2 pitches and 2 outs. -
