  1. "come in off the ledge and close the window" -Singleton
  2. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 02:07 PM) 73 pitches, 54 strikes for Mark Buehrle through 4 innings. He may not last the 5th at this rate. There's a reason the Bears grabbed Griese. ...he's working his way into a Cardinal's jersey.
  3. Our offense is THIS close, they just gotta keep at it.
  4. well, I was wrong, Mark didn't give up the lead today........yet.
  5. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 01:05 PM) And he's also out of the game after throwing 102 pitches. Walked 5. Ohman in to finish the 6th. He was yanked and he had a no no going? I wonder how often that's happened?
  6. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 12:54 PM) I'm having trouble believing he has a NO HITTER going. EDIT: Why do I bother? I am not one to believe in jinx's anyway. Yep, so far NO ONE has a hit off of him into the 7 inning.
  7. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 12:47 PM) He has a no-hitter? thru 7.
  8. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 12:42 PM) In his bedroom? What's he doing tonight?
  9. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 10:42 AM) Its the annual whitesox corpseball offense power show. The weather gets hot, our hitters take a look at the short porch and try and park every pitch. Then after 7 innings we look back at 4 hits, a ton of popups, maybe some warning track shots, and we lose. I will give anything for some line drive cuts, some nice gappers. But alas we are now into year 5 of watching us take the pipe in the second half. The only thing that was going for us is we had a 15 game lead. We just blew a 7 game lead in the WC in 2 weeks. I'm telling you, Ozzie must be letting Juanito do the pre game pep talk.
  10. Geez people, learn to handle a little adversity.
  11. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 09:42 AM) The winds are about to change folks. Vintage Buehrle sweeps through US Cellular much to Sox fans delight. Silva gives up a few bombs. Tension is gone for a day. White Sox winner. 7-2. Book it. I'll trade a few bombs for a well balanced, smart ball offensive attack that produces the 7 runs you're predicting.
  12. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 04:40 PM) The owner's only gave him $100 but he has received over $4,000 in total and a shot at a new life and job. Well yeah, but only because the owner was such a cheap ass to begin with,
  13. my broken record prediction will come true for the 15th time this year: At some point today, probably within the first three innings, the Sox will take the lead and Mark will give it RIGHT back at the top of the next inning, book it.
  14. QUOTE(Steff @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 08:55 AM) Zito will help us now. FWIW, Boras was at 2 Boston/White Sox games. 1 in Unc's box. Perhaps they've mended the fence. That's probably what's fueling this rumor.
  15. QUOTE(bmags @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 07:39 AM) oasis interviews were awesomely entertaining, pop rock right now is missing any engaging personalities right now. They are all boring suburbanites. Hell yeah, I think Oasis' music is fine, but I got a HUGE kick out of their attitude early on in their career.
  16. Before the 1st pitch, I had chalked up tonight as a loss and when the Twins went up 4-1, I changed the station. It was actually a positive to see this team try to fight back into it in the 9th.
  17. QUOTE(The Critic @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 01:03 PM) I read online where Wolfmother claims they "never even listened to 70s rock" and that their blatant ripoff of the style is "purely unintentional". That's kind of a running joke. I think Oasis once said they'd never heard of the Beatles and Kingdom Come (remember them? ) said they'd never heard of Led Zep.
  18. That's gratitude for you I guess. http://msnbc.msn.com/id/14024565/?GT1=8307
  19. QUOTE(Hanger @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 12:36 PM) Your right just found this on the net Bill Ladson, of Nationals.MLB.com, reports Washington Nationals general manager Jim Bowden refutes a published report saying the club is close to sending OF Alfonso Soriano to the Chicago White Sox. "All I can tell you is that we don't have a deal in place with any team at this hour on any player. That's the only comment I'm going to have," Bowden said. "....in place....". All this means is no deal has been finalized, that's all.
  20. QUOTE(bmags @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 11:09 AM) p4k this weekend for you could count! One day at a music festival that does not require me to travel does NOT count.....but it will be nice to let off some steam
