  1. Well, last night could not have gone any more smoothly. I didn't get there til 5:25 and I thought I'd be late for everything and screwed. NOPE. I walked right in, there was no line, went to the table where they give you a wristband which determines what time you get to go on the field. We opted for the 7:00-7:25 slot. Grabbed two beers and got into the food line becasue the food was not ready yet. At about 5:45, the kitchen gates went up and the food was ready. We ate until about 6:00. Visited a few gift shops, the press room, the visitor's clubhouse and the Scout seats lounge. I was surprised at how small the visitor's clubhouse is, the press room was fun. At about 6:55 we headed over to the 'elephant gates' in CF and they let us onto the field. You can go anywhere except the infield. I took my flip flops off and took in the grass. We took a ton of pictures and left the field at 7:25. Headed back to the patio area, grabbed more food and two more beers. Left at about 7:50. Nothing was too crowded and everything was well organized. GREAT TIME! By the way, there was a guy who was asking people who only had invites and not tickets to stand in another line. I'm not sure what they did with those people, maybe they got in after all. I'm sorry some of you didn't get to go and that Thursday night was kind of a mess, but I thought this thread could use some positivity.
  2. I don't understand how the event could even be close to sold out. I mean, fans are allowed on the field. So, most of the field and the entire bullpen bar were full? There aren't that many full and partial ST holders. Not to menton, it's not a 1 day event.
  3. QUOTE(Wealz @ Jul 28, 2006 -> 01:22 PM) The invite clearly stated that you had to RSVP by a certain date. With as many season ticketholders as they have now, it's regrettable, but understandable that errors occurred with the planning of this. When I pay for my season tickets what I expect is a well run baseball operation. Everything else is gravy. you're easy.
  4. Wow, sounds like it might be a short night at the Cell for Los. At least it's an early thing. I should know by 6:00 just how flocked up it's gonna be, leaving plenty of time for plan B.
  5. QUOTE(rventura23 @ Jul 28, 2006 -> 10:50 AM) It was poorly organized, nobody explained anything clearly. You have to stand in a long line to pick up your tickets (since the big ticket that says admit one does not actually admit one). They did not have lots of people on record too. Make sure you get your pass to go on the field early. Once you got in and figured out where everything was it was fun, although food line was a little too long. GREAT, THERE IS YET ANOTHER TICKET NEEDED TO GET ON THE FIELD!
  6. Wow, can someone shed some light on all of this. What exactly is needed to get IN? If I had all the way down there and get turned away, it's not gonna be pretty.
  7. It looks like I'll be going tonight. Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated
  8. QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Jul 27, 2006 -> 08:50 PM) I just got back. It was pretty cool. The weather sucked so you couldn't go on the field so that really blew because that was what I wanted to do. Got another picturewith the trophy. Good food ,beer , etc. IT WAS REALLY CROWDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have two for tomorrow if you can make your way to Beverly. I also have two at Will Call PM me. you have a pm.
  9. Why don't you guys let me help you avoid the aggravation by having you guys hand over all your tix to me.
  10. Hey if the Twins and Tigers continue to play .800 ball, THEY DESERVE THE DIVISION and I'll tip my hat to them and hold my head high. Not many teams will catch teams that are playing that well.
  11. I've heard of NSync and I'm pretty sure Justin Timberlake was in the group, but I can proudly say that I have no clue who the ef Lance Bass is.
  12. We've been playing like Schlitz since he's been gone. The curse of the Jay?
  13. QUOTE(Jake @ Jul 27, 2006 -> 01:46 AM) Yes. So when someone finds my 20 grand, I'll give them a nickel because they will benefit more in the end from the other people. I'm sure that was the guy's strategy too.
  14. At the start of the year everyone on this board had a hard on for our rotation. Suddenly, because we've had three horrible, horrible weeks, this rotation sux? Take a look at the names again: Mark Buehrle Jose Contreras Freddy Garcia Jon Garland Javy Vazquez (B Mac) I look at these five names and given their history I trust that we have a better chance waiting for these guys to turn it around than we do making any (reasonable) trades. If they don't improve and end up at home in October, I'll still feel the same way.
  15. I know we'll snap out of it and go on a tear, but will it be too late?
  16. yes, please let's get off the Soriano dream.
  17. QUOTE(AbeFroman @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 03:01 PM) I think its time that Ozzie trash the clubhouse... you know, rip up a few couches... toss some tables, etc. Scare them; they need it... if you belive some of the things on this board, it is EXACTLY those kinds of antics by Ozzie that the team has grown tired of and it's showing on the field.
  18. Full house? Just wondering, sounds noisy on the radio.
  19. I'll gladly take any Grinder Bash tix that are available.
  20. QUOTE(Felix @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 02:46 PM) Because he's a reliever and our starter had nothing left? No Schlitz, but it's not like Ozzie. What was his pc?
  21. QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 02:34 PM) It carried the team for half a season. it was mostly Jimmy in April and part of May.
  22. QUOTE(CWSOX45 @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 02:30 PM) lead, tie whatever, sorry guys. does it really matter? Mark can't hold a tie or a lead. fish this. Can someone pull up how many times he's done that this year? Seriously. The Sox offense claws its way back in and Mark kicks them in the nuts.
