QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ Aug 14, 2006 -> 10:13 AM) Wow, Linus, I didn't realize you were a Sox fan.

Pick up the phone and tell her you have to see her tomorrow, then break up with her face to face. She'll be pissed about losing control over you and will try to get you back within a few weeks, be strong and move on. And no, you cannot remain friends. She gone.

I'M STILL OFF THE LEDGE... UNTIL THE NEXT LOSS!

QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 08:42 PM) First off, avoid sprays. I like Arm&Hammer stick, actually. I wear a white Hanes T shirt under my dress shirts. I have no problem finding good deodarants, the problem is finding one that doesn't put those permanent stains on the pits on my t shirts.

Just curious, this 'document' that was signed by all, was drafted up just in case of.....what exactly?

Torture them both.

So, this guy in my office just paged someone on the overhead system. I guess he was playing some kind of game on his computer or cell phone, cuz you heard "Jackpot, Jackpot" in the background. Hilarious.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 9, 2006 -> 09:23 PM) Well that's pretty simple, don't get married or in a serious relationship...and enjoy the poon! aah, but take it from a married guy, a lot more poon comes your way once you slide that wedding band on your finger. Women know that a married man goes away, boyfriends stick around and get nuts or become a pain in ass. A lot of women are just screwed up that way.

Massive attack foiled in England

I have no problem with the airlines not allowing carry on at all. I'm sure certain exceptions would have to apply. -

In a wierd way, right now might be the safest time to fly for Deploderer. Help me out here. I don't know much about liquid explosives. but part of what I read mentioned that liquids, such as hair gel, hair sprays, perfumes, etc will be banned from carry on luggage. Why did it take so long for someone to realize this? -
QUOTE(daa84 @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 07:15 AM) you know how there are some things that may be true but you just dont say publicly if you are a ball player....there were about 4 things freddy said in there that may be true but you just never admit It's that whole Venezuelan, let the chips fall where they may, brutal honesty.

I know they're both pretty young. Natalie is cutsie in a teenage kinda way. Scarlett however, is ALL woman.

QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Aug 9, 2006 -> 04:18 PM) When will Jesus bring the pork chops? It's just a banner from last year, it's timely. uh huh. -
Belive it or not, I used to get them as a kid. In like 7th and 8th grades, I'd have to go home like once every 6 weeks. It would start with the blurry vision, then I'd puke, then the headache, then I'd fall asleep, wake up three hours later and felt fine. Wierd. They eventually just went away.

QUOTE(AbeFroman @ Aug 9, 2006 -> 03:25 PM) I'm not calling anyone liars, but doesn't it seem strange that a kid would try to use a BB gun to defend himself against three armed police officers? Thats strange to me. I believe kids are stupid... but that is absurdly stupid... basically suicide. I wonder if we actually have all the facts here. I'm a white guy from the northern suburbs. I have nothing in common with this kid from cabrini... But I'll hold off on judgment on this kid right now. It sorta feels like all the facts aren't there. I think the kid who got shot had used the gun to rob another kid earlier. That's what set off the search for him. When the cops found him, was still carying the gun. A street smart kid knows to drop the gun immediately.

You guys can debate about whetehr she is hot or not. One thing is for sure, those pictures tell me that she is EXACTLY the type of chick a married man should stay at least 200 feet away from.

2006 White Sox Catch-All Thread

why does our Sox Talk headline read: "Bronx Showdown" ? -
QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 9, 2006 -> 12:40 PM) Tex- Let me tell you this, from some experience. 3 of 4 from inside 10 feet is actually well above the average. FBI stat from a while back: inside 10 feet, with pistols, typically 4 of the first 5 shots MISS their target. That includes cops (though cops' percentage is usually a little higher than the other guys'). There are many reasons for this. One, all the training in the world doesn't get rid of the sheer panic of that situation. It REDUCES it, but to variable extent. Also, it is not in the nature of most human beings to want to kill someone else. Therefore, psychologically, there is a strong motivation (unconscious) to miss. The fact that this was a kid may have only amplified that. One other thing. Bullets are funny animals. 2 gunshots hitting within an inch of each other can make the difference between a minor wound and death. or maybe he just wasn't trying to kill the kid.

I don't like Yankee fans who aren't from NY.............and by from I mean 10 years+ as a NY resident.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Aug 9, 2006 -> 01:12 PM) I enjoy my posts almost all the time, and I find myself agreeing with them quite often. They make me laugh, they make me think, and sometimes they even make me cry. I would never even think of putting me on "ignore". I am not Cubsessed, but I don't belittle those who are. I enjoyed the World Series victory VERY much, and posted about it often. I try to see both sides of an argument, and often TAKE both sides of an argument, just so as not to disagree with anyone. Therefore, I would have to say that I am a good poster. But I would never be able to stay on a wall, no matter how much tape you put on me, so I cannot say that I am a GREAT poster. ".....and often TAKE both sides of an argument, just so as not to disagree with anyone." Target has spines on sale.
-
A good poster doesn't feel the need to convert everyone to their way of seeing things. They recognize a difference of opinion and they let it go.

She looks good in one pic and not so good in another.
