I'd never really noticed how much Kenny Rogers of the Tigers looks like Scott Lucas of Local H. Can someone do one of those split screen, two photo deals? You'd have to find a recent picture of Scott, with the short, greying hair.

Go Tigers. I wanna see Maggs put up monster numbers in this next series......even if most of you hate him and said he'd never walk again.
-
Notice how many bands who have had pop music commercial success mention Big Star as an influence.

I'm skeptical. I don't know what his intentions were when he put that woman in his show, but why did he go so extreme? Maybe it was to try to prove that overweight models should not be on the run way. As someone else said, being very overweight is unhealthy too, so why not use a size 8 or 10 model?

For once, I'm glad that the 4-0 Bears and the dismantling of the Scrub bosses are the top stories.

I hate Rush, could never really get past the annoying vocals. QUOTE(shipps @ Sep 26, 2006 -> 01:29 PM) The r&r hall is just a novelty nowadays.i wouldnt be surprised if Kid rock is in it. The problem is that they feel like they HAVE to induct bands into it every year.

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Sep 29, 2006 -> 08:28 AM) I got the new Jet CD. Yawn. From all I have heard from people "in the know", Wolfmother is an album made by studio musicians. Supposedly that guitarist is TERRIBLE, and this has been backed up by recent TV apprearances. Shame, if true, as I like much of their album. Anybody know about this new Cat Stevens album? Two birds with one stone. I saw Wolf Mother at Lolla and they were solid. Like I said, let's see what theeir next effort brings us I also saw the Go! Team and they were awful. I was at an event last night and Peter Cetera was there (don't ask). Anyway, he was wearing a Sox cap, so I approached him. Turns out he's a huge Sox fan.

Run into any Sox fans out there?

Go Padres.... my newly adopted, second favorite team.

I've never met Rosie, but she has raging, lunatic b*itch written all over her face.

Yeah, something tells me he was held down.......and not just for a tattoo.

QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Sep 26, 2006 -> 10:28 AM) They should be happy that anyone shows up to see anything in that s***ty dome. I can't wait till that place is leveled. Call me crazy but I actually respeect the hell out of the Twins. Crappy park, no fan support, no respect, tight bank roll, yet they STILL come out year after year and compete.

INCONSISTENT. Which was also the downfall of every Sox team from 2000-2004. We rarely hit on all cylinders and too many guys were hot or cold at the plate and especially on the hill. Makes for a frustrating season.

Yep, it's time for the Andru Jones to the Sox rumors to heat up again. Anyone have a FA list?

QUOTE(Brian @ Sep 24, 2006 -> 10:11 PM) Fergie is one of those girls that looks hot in some light and other light, not so hot. Like that Seinfeld episode. Sometimes I wish I could cross her London Bridge, if ya smell what I'm cookin. She's not hot dude, she's a make up baby. She gets by on a good body and good hair, wardrobe and make up people. I bet she looks like hell in the morning.

Jackass Number Two is good, brainless fun.

QUOTE(Brian @ Sep 23, 2006 -> 08:08 PM) I can't shake these hiccups! It's annoying. How long have you had them? Last year, I had the hiccups for two days straight! I went to see the Dr. who gave me something for acid reflux. I took it for about a week before every meal, they stopped shortly after I took the first pill. I've reecently discovered "Lucky Louie" on HBO. Hilarious.

Gamethread, White Sox vs. Mariners
LosMediasBlancas replied to BearSox's topic in 2006 Season in Review
Someone change Juanito's shorts. -
It goes beyond an appearance issue and also has to do with self esteem and control issues.

Juanito needs to go? You're kidding
-
4 inches, eh? I don't blame the wife for rejecting it.

Prime reasons why the 2006 White Sox failed to repeat

QUOTE(chisox72 @ Sep 19, 2006 -> 03:36 PM) Wait...I know the answer to this one..... Aaron Rowand, Carl Everett, Frank Thomas Carl's pre season comments about the Sox not making the playoffs this year have been in the back of my head all year for some reason. Sure Carl has said a lot of crazy stuff in the past and sure it was easy to write him off as sour grapes, but maybe he knew something. -
QUOTE(kapkomet @ Sep 19, 2006 -> 03:47 PM) Good post. I can't support them like that because I don't live there. But they're my baseball team, win or lose. Some people in here sound like Bahston Bandwagon fans. (in my best Ditka voice) Hey gang, in life, you take the good with the bad. Learn to handle some adversity without getting emotional or throwing in the towel.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Sep 19, 2006 -> 03:43 PM) the team you love. Its frustrating to have a dissapointing season, especially when we should have played better than we did. But thats baseball. Its why its the greatest game in the land. When this season is over, we can look forward to next year, and another possible run at it. We have a great core, great management, and a franchise that looks to be dedicated to winning for once. This is not the time to turn your back on your team, nor to act like a spoiled little baby who needs to pout about something that didnt go your way. These reactions are why it was so easy for me to get season tickets when I did, and why I was always one of the only people who went to every game. Why my section was half empty for several years, and yet at the beginning of every season there was always hope. If you all want to act like babies and cry and whine about how our team just couldnt win enough games, then so be it. I love this team, my life revolved around the White Sox, and I wouldnt be the same without the experiences that I have had with this team. When this season ends, I will be dissapointed, but we cant win the WS every year. Next year is a new year, filled with new hope, and a new schedule, and the Sox will be right back in it. And I will be in my seat as always, cheering for them. That was phukin' beautiful Rock.

QUOTE(bmags @ Sep 19, 2006 -> 01:26 AM) dirty is the poppiest, but i still say evol-daydream-sister is the best damn 1-2-3 combo. I'm honestly thinking of maybe telling you to start later at the murray street - sonic nurse - rather ripped. for songs teenage riot, schizophrenia I'm thinking you should start middle at dirty, then if you like it go to the epic daydream nation, and then go where you want...because early sonic youth is very experimental guitar pop-distortion...The only album i really just can't stand was nyc ghosts ALSO - built to spill was awesome tonight. I saw those guys a while back and yes, awesome they were.
