One month old? Clearly, this is a case of post partum depression. It's hormonal and as men we have no right to comment or pass judgement on it.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Nov 28, 2006 -> 10:39 AM) I believe that its more of we over value our own talent pool than anything on here. Joe Crede is due for a record payday that will make the Konerko deal seem like pennies on the dollar. Remember who his agent is. So the just sit by and let the clock tick isnt going to work. So you either trade him now when his value is the highest, or we stand pat and then pick up a draft pick in a few years. If you are going to lose him, you might as well get something good for him. Santana has pitched in the majors, unlike a lot of the prospects that have been bantered about here. He has a hell of a live arm, and some great upside. He is the type of arm just about every team in the majors would want on there team. And yet people on here think that Freddy and his 86mph fastball, and one more year on his contract are worth more than Santana and Figgins by himself. Somewhere in the middle of our overvaluing of or prospects and talent, and where the Angels fans overvalue their prospects and talent, lies the truth. ...not to mention Crede's back problems which will only get worse.

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Nov 27, 2006 -> 12:11 AM) Oh? What type of incident? No biggie. The film I wanted to see had a 7 pm listing on line. When I got to the theater, it wasn't showing at that time, so we got to see another film for free. Unfortunately, Deja Vu was the only thing that hadn't just started.
-
I had an 'incident' at the movies the other night and ended up seeing 'Deja Vu" for free. I left about an hour into it. I've never cared less for what was gonna happen next in a film.

QUOTE(Wanne @ Nov 25, 2006 -> 02:23 AM) How old is Vizquel...like 60? Geez....no thanks. Delluci really intrigues me....but he's really not a lot different than Mack. The whole Manny talk is ridiculous. Wasn't that why Carlo Lee was traded? I still would really like Eric Byrnes on this team to play left field. Not sure why AZ still hasn't reupped him. You and I are in the minority on Byrnes, I'd love to see him in a White Sox uni. If he's not a grinder, who is? People around here will tell you he's defense sux.
-
Uribe AND Pods for Vizquel? I'm gonna go with no on this one.
-
He came out right around the same time the kid who played the little brother on Who's the Boss came out. In other words, about 20 years ago.

"For Your Consideration" is god awful, yet everyone around me was laughing hysterically. So few things on TV or in film are lol funny nowadays.

The Cubs can say hello to last place, oh wait.

If a guy can throw the N word directly at someone and still not be considered a racist, then what does he need to do?

QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 10:39 AM) "I've dug a real hole on this one, didn't I?" Hilarious. Look both LCR and Jeckle are right. Its the old adage, I don't come to your place of work and heckle you, do I? And sometimes comedians go off the edge, there's two examples that are CAUGHT ON TAPE. Who knows how many times this has happened, not on tape. Richards went too far, but to me, he got really angry and flew off the deep end. Anyone on here perfect enough to say that hasn't happened? That you get so emotional that these horrible things spew out of your mouth? Didn't think so. Let me do a little comparison: There have been rumblings for years about Mel Gibson being anti-semitic. He has alluded to some things in interviews over the years. So one day, he gets drunk, gets pulled over, the ego kicks in, and bam...here comes the slurs, sugartits. Has anyone heard anything about Michael Richards being a bigot? There's no public history there. Maybe he really is a bigot, and in the court of public opinion, he is. But that doesn't mean that we shouldn't give him another chance. Oh yeah, and where are all the people outraged at the hecklers using "cracker." Pot...meet kettle. Good point, I really wish he hadn't used the C word, because when he ripped into Richards for being a 'has been', he made him look pretty stupid. I'm not defending the guy for using it, but sometimes ( and I speak from experience) when someone fires a racial slur at you, you realize you're dealing with a stupid SOB and the only way to be hurtful back is to stoop to their level.

We're all just guessing here, so here goes another one. Anyone who still uses the term 'Afro American' clearly is out of touch with race issues in this country.

QUOTE(SnB @ Nov 20, 2006 -> 04:21 PM) Anyone else excited for the Tenacious D movie? What exactly about Jack Black is funny? Basically he's another fat, messy haired, coke head comic who screams a lot. Hmmm, sounds kinda like Belushi, Kinison and Farley.....except those guys were funny.
-
I've watched the video and read the apology and I'm confused. That tirade was aimed at a black man who may or may not have been heckling him from the audience????!!! Richards is lucky to be alive. Is he Jewish?

QUOTE(bmags @ Nov 17, 2006 -> 08:07 PM) sweet, i like when writers try to take difficult characters like a former sex offender and make them a complete character, not just a drooling child molester. Like peter lorri in M. Awesome performance. You hate this guy the entire time and they almost make you sympathetic for him at the end. It's brilliant. See 'Lillte Children" and if you honestly tell me you didn't enjoy it, I'll buy the new Dinosaur Jr. for you.

I'll help Juanito pack and will give him a lift to the airport....and that's the same stance I've had on him since he got here.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Nov 16, 2006 -> 09:19 PM) Does Alex spin himself into the ground and try to jack every single pitch for a homer. If the answer is no, then this is an upgrade. Mr Uribe only plays well when his job is threatened.

I don't care if he gets retried or has to pay more money. What jumps out at me is that the guy won't let the story go away. It's like he gets some kind of thrill from reliving it, so he intentionally opens up the wound every year or so. It continues to cause so much pain for the families involved and the guy just does not care. If I was OJ, I woulda moved otta the country minutes after the words 'not guilty' came out of that juror's mouth.
