QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Jan 11, 2007 -> 06:06 PM) Kirsten has her moments where she isnt too good looking. I REALLY like her in Spiderman. WIth the redish hair, she's smokin'! She has that classic beauty, like a woman in an old painting. Not real sexy, but quite beautiful.

QUOTE(Soxy @ Jan 11, 2007 -> 10:58 AM) So, what media (or peer) dubbed hottie don't you find attractive? This is sort of the opposite of the Strange Crush thread. I'll start: Brad Pitt. Just don't get it. Prince William. Looks just like his father. Christian Slater. Looks like he's always sucking on a lemon. Victoria Beckham. Too much clavicle, thanks. C'mon Brad Pitt is 45, most guys don't look that good at 25. Brad Pitt and Sting get younger and younger. Those guys are genetic freaks. Eva Langoria, average at best. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Jan 11, 2007 -> 11:58 AM) Pam Anderson Anna Nicole Smith Paris Hilton Carmen Electra Angelina Jolie Jessica Biel Charlize Theron Eva Longoria Just curious, who are your top 5? We own a couple of places and plan to just sit on them until it makes sense to sell. A lot of people around here have been telling us that the next big boom will be in New Mexico. I plan to take a road trip there in the summer, maybe buy a few acres out in the middle of frickin' nowhere then wait 10 years to see what happens.

QUOTE(Soxy @ Jan 11, 2007 -> 10:30 AM) Honestly, I think most "original" fairy tales would have been rated R, like the brothers Grimm and stuff. We're just so used to the sanitized crap we think that's what fairy tales are all about: happy endings. Not people cutting off toes or turning into sea foam or whatever. Oh, and I saw Stranger Than Fiction last night. It was actually a lot better than I was expecting. Cute, fun, etc. There was a damn boom mic in damn near every frame, though, and that drove me up the wall. Good point. PL is too adult for kids and too simple for adults. Not sure who the target audience is supposed to be.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 11, 2007 -> 10:06 AM) Wow. This could be the move that mainstreams soccer in the US. This has been his and soccer's plan all along. He'll probably wear the # 23 .

Best(non-World Series) and worst all time White Sox moment.
LosMediasBlancas replied to ChiSoxLifer's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Worst- The entire 1983 playoffs. I've never seen a team look so good during the season and so bad during the playoffs to follow. Our offense couldn't score. We won game one by the score of 2-1 I think, then dropped three in a row. We might have even out hit the Orioles in two of those agmes, but could NOT get a runner across the plate. Best- Innings 1, 2 and 3 of Game 1 of the 05 playoffs against Boston. At the top of the 4th my buddy looked over at me and said "Dude, we're gonna win the WS". -
'Pan's Labyrinth', 'Pan's Labyrinth, everyone's talking aboout 'Pan's Labyrinth'. Well, I watched it last night and my wife put it best when she said "if they took out the swearing and the violence (and there really wasn't much of either) it would make a great kid's movie. Faries, fauns, fantasy and kind of a simple, empty message in the end. Don't rush out to see it, don't even rush out to rent it.

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Jan 7, 2007 -> 10:51 PM) I'm really just wondering what the overall response would be if I were to name Ellen Degeneres. Nothing's sexier than a woman in a man's suit and tennis shoes.

Sean Penn is solid as usual in 'The Assasination of Richard Nixon'. Saw it for the first time last night, I can't believe I snoozed on this film for so long.

Man I have a million bathroom stories. You'll never believe this, but the first THREE times I took a squeeze at my in law's house I flooded their toilet each time. My wife and I were just dating at the time and I had just met her parents. It's a story my wife looooves to tell.

QUOTE(beautox @ Jan 6, 2007 -> 05:31 AM) its basically a womens search for an orgasm. it reminds me of crash in the sense your introduced to alot of characters and they all revolve around one another and hang out at this sex den called "short bus". if your comfortable about you sexuality i would say give it a watch, its got a ton of sex scenes and it gets graphic at times for example: 3 men all getting down with each other, while one eats another's asshole out while singing if i recall correctly the star spangled banner. hope that helps Sounds like a rental, thx.

QUOTE(beautox @ Jan 6, 2007 -> 04:26 PM) As of this moment im listening to Kurtis Blow's - The Breaks "these are the breaks, break it up, break it up, break down" 'breaks on a bus 'breaks on a car 'breaks that make you a superstar' QUOTE(bmags @ Jan 6, 2007 -> 10:57 PM) billy and jimmy? where have i heard that lineup before? oh that's right, zwan. At least get d'arcy...prettiest girl i ever did see I like the Pumpkins' first two records. Then fame and fortune took over and 'THE BILLY CORGAN EXPERIENCE' put out like 17 records in the next 4 years....most of which was garbage.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 6, 2007 -> 10:55 PM) Mark Buehrle said the perfect thing. He said if the Sox and another team offer me the same contract... well he is smart enough to realize that the Sox aren't going to match a one hundred million dollar contract, so he isn't going to have to ever stand up to those words. Get used to it folks, this is Mark's last year as a member of the Chicago White Sox. Ding, ding, ding ding.

QUOTE(G&T @ Jan 6, 2007 -> 12:37 AM) That woman in the Mercury car commercials. I have no clue what her name is. YES. Why does she stand out so much? Is she the 1st hot chick in a car commercial? Maybe she is.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Jan 6, 2007 -> 01:05 AM) I'll be surprised if it gets off the ground. They've had feelers out before for a reunion and passed on it. They can't be together for very long before they start hating each other again. I'm not sure what the bad blood is about, but it's weird to me that guys who have traveled the world together, realized a shared dream and made each other a lot of money in the process, could end up hating each other like they do. The rumor started when their label said they were "planning something special" for the 30 year anniversary of their 1st record. Maybe they can bury the hate and hit the road in 08. Their first few records are classics. Check it out: http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070103/en_nm/police_dc

QUOTE(beautox @ Jan 5, 2007 -> 04:39 AM) Just watched The pursuit of happyness, i thought it was a really moving story. also i recently seen short bus, needless to say that was interesting. What else can you tell us about 'Short Bus'? It was very popular around here, I never got around to watching it.

QUOTE(Rooftop Shots @ Jan 4, 2007 -> 09:41 PM) I was at that game. That's when Cameron and Boone Both went back to back jacks TWICE in the first inning. I think it was the first time in history it was ever done. Cameron hit 4 jacks that day, and when he put the 5th one on the warning track, The Cell gave him a HUGE ovation! And why not? We were down by 7,000,000,000, runs anyway. We saw history the first inning. Why not see history made twice in the same game by being the first to hit 5 jacks in a game? It's a shame it didn't happen. On a different note, somebody quote me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that also Rauch'e ML debut? Can't remember!! I loved it. Remember how much b****ing and whining Parque had been doing down in the minors? So the Sox brought him up, gave him a start and left him out there to rot. Classic.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 4, 2007 -> 05:30 PM) God I love Lou Malnati's. Funny you should say that. I've been in Cali. for a few months now and all the pizza out here absolutely blows. So, friends of ours sent us three frozen Lou Malnati's pizzas for X-Mas. About an hour ago I threw one in the oven and kinda burned the crust and it was STILL a million times better than all the crap we've had out here.

Rented 'Shop Girl' last night (that's right, I did it) and was pleasantly surprised. Wasn't really sure where it was headed at first, but there was some subtle character development slowly going on.

I've never seen Lou Reed and this must happen.
