QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 03:06 AM) I don't know how Duque continues to do it, but he's given us a chance to win in all his starts besides the Rangers one really. Hell yeah, he seems to check nuts and focus more when he gets into jams. The more pressure, the better he throws it seems. -

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 03:02 AM) Damn Right. Duque seems to have his s*** together at least for now. If keeps the s*** low and in the park, we should handle these mutha f***ers easily. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 02:59 AM) Of course we do. f*** that, we can win this s*** regardless. -
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 05:33 PM) Not to my eyes...he seems far more settled and stationary from the right side. Not that it's a bad thing either way - there are guys that have far wierder motions than anything Carl does. I think he still opens his stance up when he gets 2 strikes against most pitchers from both sides though. I wonder if he should try the same stance from both sides.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 10:08 PM) Citigroup has now joined the ranks of the companies that have lost huge amounts of customer data that can be incredibly useful in identity theft. This includes such data as Social Security numbers and birthdates. It seems that Citibank decided it would be a good idea to just ship unencrypted data using UPS. I have 2 credit cards with Citibank. I'm sitting here today wondering if their incompetence might someday jeopardize my ability to buy a car or a house. It seems now that almost every week, there is another reported case of a major U.S. company being incredibly careless with its customers personal data. THIS MUST STOP. The federal government gave a massive handout to the credit card companies a few weeks ago in the form of a bill making bankruptcy more difficult for all but the richest Americans. Now its time we get something in return. There must be federal legislation passed to give companies a reason to protect the private information of their customers. Right now, the only thing that can happen to punish Citibank for this is that they may lose some customers, while in the meantime, if someone gets their hands on that data...3.9 million people could have their credit histories permanently screwed up, and have to spend years of their lives paying higher costs for credit before they get them fixed. This situation can not stand. This must be fixed. YIKES, my VIP card is with them.

Does he do that rocking thing with his body and bat wiggle from his right handed batting stance?
-
I can't even imagine how difficult it must be to make the schedule. It can't favor every team and if it screws a team, I'm sure it's not intentional.

I think we have like 20 games in Sept. against either KC, Detroit or Cleve.....yeah they really got it in for us. :headshake

QUOTE(robin_ventura_eternal @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 12:36 AM) i'm seeing people so ungrateful for timo, man. hes a great utility player! hes won two games already this year with the swing of a bat, and played what seems like a half dozen positions at least. how many other utility players can you say that about not just in the american league but the entire MLB? Timo=Whipping boy, every team needs one. I agree Timo is pretty bad, but I think a few other guys (when you consider what their role is supposed to be) hurt the team just as much. Timo comes off the bench, I don't expect much from him and that's exactly what he gives, not much. Crede and maybe even Konerko are every day players who so far have hurt us just as much at times. Dye has recently stepped it up big time, but for a while, he was a game killer. -
Jackie is just speeding away thought she was James Dean for a day then I guess she had to crash Valium would've helped that dash She said "hey babe, take on walk on the wildside" She said "hey honey, take a walk on the wildside"

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 01:32 PM) Go to Village Cycle on Wells. They have a website www.villagecycle.com. You can print coupons and look for deals on last year's models and older. You can look at their inventory on-line. I bought a hybrid there a couple of years ago, and ride it almost everday. Only have had one problem with my chain popping off and they fixed it no questions asked. If you buy a bike there it usually comes with a couple of comp tune-ups. THX, that's not too far from my job, I'll check it out.

QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 04:01 AM) Pretty much the same for me. I dislocated it and torn the muscle holding the joint together (labrum) last summer playing baseball. Since then it has dislocated two other times and I always tweak it. I guess I'll have to have surgery on it, but then it will still probably happen again. Yep, you just learn to live with it unfortunately. I see no point in fixing it now, I'll probably f*** it up again anyway. Once I get older and am not as active, I'll go under the knife and get it fixed. What exactly is Gload's injury?

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 03:47 AM) He hurt his shoulder throwing home from 1st base? I find that a little hard to believe. Shoulders are pretty fragile. I injured mine in my sleep! I had my arm bent under my pillow in a wierd position and when I woke up and wnet to move, it popped out and hurt like hell. It had been injured before and has been injured again since. Once it's injured, it's f***ed. Good luck Ross.

QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 08:48 PM) I just got a Huffy for my birthday. I love it. But I would recommend spending the extra $20 to buy a better seat. Anyway, love the Huffy. Thx, why do women need more cushion on the bike seat? Don't women usually have more of their own cushioning? You'd think a man's bike would need it.

QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 08:38 PM) i happen to work at sports authority and we have bikes, id say get a new one and try to pick the lowest price, best quality bike (if that makes sense), for the items your looking for you can expect to pay anywhere from 140-200, mongoose is always a good brand, or huffy, id say you take a look out for a bike called the mongoose placid, not too cheap and not too expensive Womens or mens bike doesnt really make a hell of differene, only difference is that womens bike have lower frame sizes and more cushion on the seats WOW, even less than I thought. I was thinking $350.00 for everything. Which store do you work at?.......if you get comission from sales, we might go there.
-
My wife wants a bicycle. Nothing top notch or professional, but nothing too cheap either. We live on the Northside, any suggestions on where to get a decent deal? Any brands I should look for or avoid? How much can I expect to pay for a bike, helmet and lock total? Any other tips would be appreciated, thx guys.

You have to be a special kind of mutha f***er NOT to run........I guess that's part of why some cops are heroes.

It's just a voice thats bent on telling me I'm too good And there really is a shortcut And I've been through this so many nights before That you'd think it would be easier by now So I let the chemical reaction cloud over The pain that keeps on hurting As I slowly, but too slowly drift away To a place where I know I don't have to think and God I hate myself for loving smoke and drink

QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 02:20 PM) See, I think they might have been real. They were proportionate to her body (I thought), and you all are Chicagoans, you should know Irish girls just have more, uh, in their luggage racks.... I remember the 'E' channel did this whole thing where they showed photos of her like 2 weeks apart. In one she was flat, in the next photo WHAMMO. She must've realized she was gonna be like 80lbs. with D cups and had them taken out.
