  1. Keep in mind there was a good size quake near the Chile-Peru border on Monday. It's along the same western coast in South America.
  2. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 09:12 PM) It wouldn't be a bad deal if there was a section 325. Unfortunately there is not. Cough counterfeit Cough
  3. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 08:48 PM) You are correct. thx man.........math hurts.
  4. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 08:35 PM) 100 m = 0.0621 miles, so if he was able to keep the pace up for an entire mile (unrealistic), that would be a mile in 157.33 seconds = almost a 2.5 minute mile (again, unrealistic). MPH-wise, that is 22.88 MPH. I understand, so for those 100 meters, he's moving at a speed of 23 MPH.
  5. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 08:23 PM) IIRC when Michael Johnson obliterated the 200m record in 1996, it was something like 30 mph, but I am not positive. JESUS CHRIST, that is haulin ass! 30 MPH??....and that was the 200.

    Moving to US

QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 01:55 AM) My gf is planning to move here from ontario sometime in the near future. We're both very confused at the whole process. Is moving here from canada different than moving here from any other country? What exactly needs to happen? I'm sure you guys know alot more than me. Any help appreciated. I don't understand the question. Different in what way? The process is usually, you pack up everything and...move.
  7. Any math geeks here who can tell me how fast that is in MPH? Just curious.
  8. QUOTE(Iwritecode @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 06:39 PM) My wife and I went up there last year and had no problems finding a place to park right near one of the entrances. There were a lot of people coming and going and the layout of the thing is huge so there were plenty of different places to park. It's the driving around the city that really got me. I just followed the crowd (and the signs) and luckily got in and out without any major trouble. Thx for the info man.
  9. QUOTE(Paco @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 07:41 PM) Hey, We have 3 people going to the Sox game tonight.....Since it's Pepsi 2-for-1, is that essentially half price? Or do we have to claim an even number of tickets per Pepsi can? Two of you will get in for half price, the other for full price.....I think.
  10. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 06:15 PM) Chumbawamba. Please hand me my trophy!! C'mon, no one OWNS that, I want proof
  11. QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 06:07 PM) Don't know if anyone heard that Terry Boers on the Score basically ripped the Sox and said that nationally absolutely no one would care if this team went to the World Series. Said the ratings would be abysmal for the White Sox in the World Series and network execs would be dreading the Sox going to the fall classic. Said of all of the old-time historic teams, the Sox have nothing that makes them likable or unique. Said the current team couldn't get recognized anywhere if they weren't on the field wearing their uniform. what was his point? to root against the Sox so that the suits at the network can make more loot?
  12. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 04:41 PM) Uhhmmm... Scientology? Do they remove parts of your brain?
  13. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 04:28 PM) as long as jose keeps the kickass mullet, i'm good. A DJ friend of mine used to see him at the clubs a lot when he was with the Sox. He said he's exactly the frickin' cheeseball you'd expect. Dressed in the extra small tank top, with sunglasses on, gold chain and bracelets etc.
  14. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 04:17 PM) Tom Cruise, your divorce lawyer is on hold.........again I was flipping through the dial over the weekend and I saw that clown (Cruise) on the MTV movie awards just smiling and laughing at all the wrong times during a brief interview. WTF is wrong with that guy?
  15. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 03:38 PM) Oh yeah? Well I went to that concert at the World Amphitheater. Whatever that band was (Soul Train, Soul Sneeze?) that sang "Runaway Train" opened up for them, and the Screamin Trees kicked the whole thing off. Big waste of time. I WAS THERE TOO! Soul Asylum, lol.
  16. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 03:40 PM) Hey! I still like that album, even if it ushered in the bad jam band era. Very tasty double stop guitar riffs throughout, and I thought the vocalist was quite good – like a non-threatening, ugly albino version of Chris Robinson. Jim, let that be the last time you compare that garbage to the Crowes or Chris Robinson.
  17. that's the one!! "Pocket full.........LMAO.
  18. I had that 1st Spin Doctors tape. if you, want to call me baby, just go ahead now if you, want to buy me flowers, just go ahead now if you, want to talk for hours......... :puke Shameful.
  19. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 02:31 PM) One thing that I see mis-stated often is that the jury declared Jackson "innocent." No, he was declared not guilty - they are not the same thing. Exactly...and 'found not guilty by a jury of his peers' is even more to the point.
  20. Ouch, Scrub fan move there.
  21. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 02:21 PM) I didn't follow this trial real close...but everything I heard really showed some credibility issues and a lack of hard evidence against Jackson. He certainly seems to be up to something, but so far he's getting away with it. ANd the next parent to let their kid hang out with Jackson, needs to go on trial for child abuse. The system worked. People forget that in a court of law, the truth is often irrelevant. Did Jackson do the things he was accused of? Irrelevant. Was he found not guilty by a jury of his peers? Yes, all that matters, end of story.
  22. The more I hear about the alleged victim's mom and her impression on the jury, it really doesn't surprise me that they reached that decision.
  23. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 09:10 PM) Why is that in green? Anyone who bought a Jackson album is an accessory. take it easy.
  24. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 09:08 PM) Dammit, if MJ is found guilty I will have to burn all of his albums that I own. Hell yeah, cuz you contributed to the wealth that gave him the appeal to lure kids with.
