QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 03:54 PM) soxfest had about 50 gazillion of them. that's it, just 50 gazillion? Usually they're at a lot of check out counters at stores, none this year, at leats not near me.

I'd rat out my supplier, then take the loot and buying drugs from someone else. There is ALWAYS a new dealer.

You know those, foldable, pocket size schedules? I've not seen one for the Sox anywhere this year. Where'd you guys get yours?....besides having thme mailed to you from the Sox. From Heads. Please refer to my post in this topic about the address to contact. Brooks contacted me and said he wants anyone who wants these schedules to go straight to the source so nothing is lost in forwarding. Please don't contact Brooks, but Megan with the White Sox. Thanks from him and us.

QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 02:24 PM) Mostly guys just do the sports bar thing. I have gone to a quick dinner with another guy, but it's usually like Fridays or something like that when it's a non-business setting. guys need the other diversion of gambling, alcohol or sports, because if you ever actually listened to two guy friends talk ... not very deep. That's why guy relationships usually last a long time .... no getting hurt when no conversation goes below the surface. Yep, 90% of the time the conversation is about sports or women, so a sports bar is perfect. If you don't have those 2 things around, the conversation gets pretty slow.

QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 02:05 PM) I know plenty of successful people with horrible people skills. One has very little to do with the other in many fields. Especially in real estate, which he is in. Do you even watch the show..? He's a very smart guy. No, I just talk people I know nothing about.

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 01:20 PM) I don't know. Considering the quality of our pitching is better than that of last year's, I'd say around the same if not one game better. We'd have Carlos and Maggs producing right now. I'm still happy with this team though. One full, healthy year of this year's pitching with Frank, Maggs and Lee woulda been ineteresting. Oh well, no point in wondering I guess.

QUOTE(TheBigHurt35 @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 05:24 AM) Myself and most of my male friends are married now, but I used to go to lunch every Tuesday and Thursday with one of my male co-workers for about two or three years straight. Nah, that is not even close to being a man date. If you work together, of course you sometimes eat together. Man date would be like in the evening, maybe even a weekend evening, I'll pick you up, I made reservations type of deal.

Arena player dies after spinal injury
LosMediasBlancas replied to Goldmember's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
The hit didn't even look that bad, just one of those freak things I guess. My buddy's GF works at a spine rehab center at a hospital. She was telling us the other day that she has 2 patients who were in the ocean on vacation somewhere. Apparently a wave came and hit them at such a weird angle ( I guess) that it shifted and damaged their spine. These are 2 seperate incidents too, both in shallow water!!!! That just seems impossible. -
I'm not gonna say all the stuff that doesn't register to young guys. I will say this, if you get a girl pregnant, your life may not be over, but it will change forever. Imaigne having to take care of a kid you probably don't want, imagine seeing most of your money go toward something you don't want, imagine other girls who you might really want to date look the other way because you're the f*** up with the baby. That might sound harsh, but it's reality. Strap it, cuz no cooch is that good, trust me.

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 10:33 PM) Going out with a friend=hanging out. C'mon, I hope some of you homophobic guys are overexaggerating... Even though it's mostly as a group, as has been stated, sometimes I will go out with just one guy to go grab something to eat... How else are you gonna split those 10 taco specials or 2-for-1 pizzas? I also had another friend I'd go to the dollar theater with like twice a month before when I was at FSU. I mean, it's not like you're not allowed to hit on girls when you go out with one friend....Sometimes those opportnuties just come up, and you have more confidence with a partner in crime... Nobody else has a wing-man? I'm the farthest thing from homophobic, but I still don't do it. Like I said, it depends on where you're having dinner. If you're grabbing a burger and fries at a fast food joint or bar, that's one thing. If it looks like you picked something trendy or popular and special, made reservations, dressed up etc, then c'mon.

QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 08:54 PM) Regardless of being likeable or not.. he knows business which is the only reason he is still there. That and the others on his team when they lost have effed up worse than him. He does have good business skills.. just horrible people skills. Poor people skills make him not likeable. If you don't have people skills, you really don't have bussiness skills, just my opinion. He's still on partly cuz he's a jerk. Jerks get ratings, even if it's just people rooting against him.

QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 09:03 PM) It's just so odd for me to think that men wouldn't want to go to dinner and/or a movie with a male friend. Is it so much less awkward for men to go to dinner or a movie or whatever with a platonic female friend? Although, my favorite male "rule" is the leaving a seat between two men (that are friends and seeing the same movie) in the theatre. Never understood that... 1. No such thing as the platonic female friend. That might be true for the woman, but believe me, given the chance, a guy would nail every one of those 'platonic' friends. When you're out together, everyone assumes your a couple, which is ok with us. 2. It's about how it looks. Two guys side by side at the movies, in the dark, c'mon.

Waiting to see if FG can finish is dangerous, 1 mistake and Booyah, new game. I guess you could say it's his game to win or lose. Put in Shingo.

QUOTE(kman @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 09:22 PM) nice thinking, i like it. Id rather have it be 99.99999 % frisbee.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 09:16 PM) Good point on the wind. Shingo would also gain alot of confidence if he got the save against Cleveland. The idea still scares me though. It'll get real interesting for Ozzie if they jack Shingo in the 9th.
