HoT FiRe sighting!
That has as much of a chance of catching on as me calling him Hollywood. Do they have Hollywood Video in Chicago ?

We're teeing off on their best pitcher, the haters can stop it now, for at least one night.
Maybe the in or out poll can be an in game thing . Imagine how that would have turned out tonight.

Glaus just a tad bit frusterated huh?
Your post reminds me of that phrase here at Soxtalk that we liked to use but I can't remember what it is. It had a misspelled word in it.

The ball has to be in your hand or glove. You cannot use a part of your uniform to catch or possess the ball. See rule 2.00 definition of terms.
So I guess catching the ball in your hat wouldn't count
This Heyward kid is a nice story. One of his high school team mates died an he promised his mom if he ever made it to the bigs he would wear his number and true to his promise he did just that.
QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 06:38 PM)
Ah but don't you have to have definite control of the ball? I mean the runner is safe if the ball is bobbled, right? How can the infielder be in control if he doesn't even realize that he has the ball?
Hmmm... Where's Buck Showalter when you need him?
That did cross my mind but I made the call and I'm sticking to it.

Well, those of you that wanted to see Dayan.....he may get some time today.
I'm waiting for another Lillibridge three run shot, myself. That and some Randy Williams.
Dayan can DH unless Ozzie wants to make him the defensive replacement for Vizquel tonight.

Okay silly question:
So let's say there was a force put possible. Is the runner out if the infielder steps on the base while the ball is lost in his shirt?
Thats a good question to which i have no definitive answer but I'll guess yea it would be an out since he's in possession of the ball.

Is Quentin close to back? Let's hope so.
Breaks the string of 8 games without a homer.
Kotsay stops wisely at 2B.
Never make the 3rd out at 3rd base.

Mets up 4-0, after a rain delay in the bottom third, Verlander out of the game, pitcher Sborz on the mound.
Mets are hot in interleague play as are the Sox and the Braves.
QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 06:10 PM)
Well, it's good to see Gordon hit the ball hard to the right side.
Nyger Morgan ran one of his shots down the other day just a little less shallow than the one Dayan hit.
