  1. I am really enjoying Paulie's hitting and Humber's pitching !
  2. Is it too early to put Morel and Lillibridge in for Teahen and Dunn now ? They're used up their quota of good plays between them already .
  3. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Jun 19, 2011 -> 01:27 PM) While I agree that it sucks to see Pierre everyday, Lilly Flower isn't an everyday player either. If Pierre can be an every day player in Ozzieworld then so can Lillibridge . More power better defense probably better speed too.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 19, 2011 -> 11:05 AM) Brent doubled and scored our first run last night. Only way he'll learn not to do that. While everyone else fires away at Oz, KW, Pierre, Beckham, Rios and Dunn you get your little jabs at Ozzie when Morel is benched. It's unique I'll give you that.
  5. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 10:51 PM) Honestly, and this includes me, I think too much is being made of Viciedo not being up yet. Yes, he should definitely be here. That's a no-brainer. But he's not going to save this offense. Rios, Dunn, AJ, Beckham and Morel are not going to start hitting because Dayan is in the lineup. I don't think Pujols can save this lineup right now. Even the most pessimistic poster could not have predicted that on June 18th we'd have this many Rafael Belliard (the worst hitter I've ever seen) wannabees. Greg Walker needs to come out and have a press conference and explain this s***. They owe us that much. Rios? Are you serious? He is TERRIBLE. Beckham? WTF happened to this guy? Morel? Where's all this gap power he was supposed to have? I'm not looking at Viciedo to "save" the offense just make it better. 10 shutouts is way to many for a few months of baseball. If Dunn can rebound and get into the middle of the order Vicedo is ideal for hitting at least 6th. We've been wasting way too many good starting pitching performances and my fear is once the offense turns it up a notch the pitching will regress. Like you said it should be a " no-brainer."
  6. Don't forget Lillibridge who had a bad day at the plate but possibly saved the game with his leaping attempt to catch a potential game changing HR by Melvin Mora on a grooved 3-0 pitch by Danks. Danks then proceeded to get out of the 2nd and 3rd 1 out situation by getting Blanco to pop out and striking out a good hitting pitcher.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 18, 2011 -> 05:28 AM) Morel up to 2nd and alexei dropped to a RBI spot? It's been suggested here before and I didn't like it, but I see the point now, since we've had 3 ineffective bat behind Konerko. I just hope we stick with it for more than 1 game if we're trying it today. That was me.
  8. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jun 18, 2011 -> 10:45 AM) What are the chances that Ozzie takes parting shots at the Sox when he eventually goes? I'd put it around 80%. 100% that someone in the Guillen family does.
  9. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 18, 2011 -> 12:27 AM) Dayan has played in 279 games with 1173 PAs in the minors. Beckham played in 59 games with 259 PAs in the minors. Chris Sale pitched 10 1/3 innings in the minors. There's no comparison here. Viciedo should be up and Lillibridge should be getting 5 starts a week between CF/2B until he proves he can't handle the jump in playing time. As the title of one the best albums of all time by the Talking Heads says "Stop Making Sense."
  10. Yea in here again after another disappointing no offense loss.
  11. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 08:37 PM) I really don't want Viciedo up until Walker gets fired....no need for him to kill another swing Wow even you're losing your optimism !
  12. This game is truly disgusting me up to this point. Ozzie being stubborn with the lineup. Sox seem like they wish Viciedo and Lillibridge were playing too. And Hudson looking too good along with hitters looking too bad.
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 07:49 PM) With having a pitcher in lineup and no DH it's more important than ever to get Lillibridge or Viciedo into the lineup amen but preaching to the choir.
  14. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 11:26 AM) If EJax gets shelled and Hudson throws a gem PHT should probably just be on a 1 day close down Now that Ozzie has thrown the same lineup out there again and we lose again I want it to stay open. It's very entertaining. Even I have been joining in . Ozzie is just so pigheaded it's nauseating.
  15. It's really amazing when you think about all the bad big money moves that Williams has made over the last few years Peavy, Dunn, Rios, Jackson. You could throw Manny and Teahen in there for smaller amounts of cash. Sooner or later throwing away prospects was going to bite him in the ass. Usually it hasn't but those moves combined with losing Hudson and Gio have been disasters.
  16. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 05:50 PM) yes Thank you !!
  17. Can we change the title of the thread to WTF are we waiting for ? Call up Viciedo !
  18. Sox shut out. Wet the bed against the Twins again. Pierre 0/4. Tank time !
  19. QUOTE (Pale Sox @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 09:47 PM) If anything, Rios' immense talent makes me like him less. Someone like Pierre would kill for that kind of natural talent. Rios annoys me infinitely more than Pierre because he represents wasted talent, which pisses me off. But the reality is that Rios DOES own that talent and upside, and unlike Pierre, he can play CF. Pierre is a one and a half tool player that no longer has one and a half tools. He's just about as useless as a player can get. I don't dislike him, but he's doing nothing but hurting this team. He NEEDS to go. He's the worst player on the team, and he's getting more at bats and playing time than anybody. I agree totally. He's had a decent career and made vasts amounts of money and won't be here next year. Why is he playing so much and leading off on top of that ?
  20. This thread won't need to be bumped ever . After every Sox loss where Pierre sucks or Sox don't hit well I will keep it going. I'm on a mission from God !
  21. Every day that Pierre sucks and the Sox lose this thread should grow longer and longer. Bring up Viciedo ! Play Lillibridge ! Do w/e with Juan Pierre !
  22. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 05:54 PM) Not to mention his Jenks-like inability to hold on runners. We're getting "outexecuted" to death. What new?? Cue Hawk meltdown or fawning words of praise. They're doing all this without Mauer, Nishioka, Morneau or Nathan!!!!! Amazing! Don't forget Kubel and Span.
  23. 1-0 Bruins watching between innings .
  24. Ozzie not the same old same old against the Twins ! Unleash the Lillibeast and behead this wounded 2 headed monster !
  25. Funny to see Peavy volunteer for the bullpen. I was just thinking that myself. Obviously from a money standpoint it's ridiculous but from a team standpoint it's not half bad.
