No there isn't better talent in AA than AAA. There's more potential perhaps but not talent. Your AAAA types in AAA means they have enough talent to play in the majors but not stick there. If your average AA player had more talent they wouldn't be in AA . Part of your talent comes from experience and adjusting. Plenty of AA players never advance beyond it. Look at Montgomery. Everyone knows he has great potential , but he lacks the experience of fringe MLB types He may have taken all that coaching about plate discipline a little too seriously . Right now he's leaving the bat on his shoulder too much. Experience will teach him how to be a good hitter and still take walks. It's very nuanced and part of the learning curve. AAA is for playing against better more ripened players just a notch below MLB quality.

Can you tell me on what exactly you base your opinion that the Cubs have better minor league instructors than the Sox ? I'm thinking you must know all their names and have inside knowledge of both organizations. Fake know it alls just throw s%*# out there and expect it to stick and be taken as gospel.

Yes it does but he sounds happy. Maybe he is just that kind of announcer where it just isn't a gimmick. Sometimes cheerleaders are important too. I'm not too worried that some might not think it's professional. I just think the majority of fans will like him and hatea's gone hate. ?

There are people here who really want the team to win more despite a majority who want to gawk at the train wreck. It's harmless banter moreso than calling out the haters. Both sides know the team sucks but some still root for the Sox to win while others are wishing for losses. To those still cheering for victories and the players it's hard for us to imagine calling the Sox your favorite team while wishing it all gets blown up all the time. A decent amount of people showed up yesterday cheering the Sox on. I like those people who can disregard everything bad and treat going to a game with friends and family as entertainment . Die hards are great but less than diehard fans ( women, kids) just like having a fun time at the ballpark. Here it's like all booing all the time. Ignorance is bliss.

No matter how you slice it there are going to be overused,tired and very bad relievers on a very bad team. TB was hovering around .500 and they have the same problems with their BP. It's getting to the point that having 2 guys in the bullpen capable of pitching 2 + innings is extremely helpful but also seems hard to find guys who can do that Most managers do not want a SP to go through a lineup 3 times . Every team goes through using their worst relievers a couple times a week. Some times SP just have to wear it and stay in while they are getting pounded just to preserve the pen.
