  1. Might be just trying different guys in high precious situations and whoever fails that's on the bubble gets DFA'd . Not like there's much in the minors though to replace them.
  2. Plenty of game left. Baltimore will make it interesting as will the BP.
  3. Grandal looked at 1 st pitch down the middle. Understandable after the walk. 2nd pitch changeup also right down the middle fouled it back.
  4. Oriole Manager tried to pull a Grifol and leave Wells inlke Grifol left Clveinger in. Didn't work as well. Eloy !
  5. Gotta be a local pizza place with chairs that's better
  6. 4 WHO references. I like it ! Who Are You, The Kids Are Alright, I Can't Explain, and My Generation. 5 since you were picking up on the Won't be Fooled Again comment.
  7. Major injuries and surgeries counting on the 1st year back isn't advisable for certain parts of the body. Robert didn't look as good last year in the OF, some due to a bout with dizziness. This year he looks much better, faster. Can't really count on Crochet for much of anything not only because of TJS but his whole future may be clouded if he chooses to continue as a starting pitcher. By the time he builds up his arm to where he can become an effective SP he might have 2 years left on his Sox contract and be pitching as a starter for the 1st time in MLB on an arm that may not be built to be a SP. He should just stay a reliever and focus on his health and earning his money that way.
  8. That was my thinking this off season when I advocated trying to acquire some young rookie OF's. But mostly everyone here didn't like that idea. The team needed to get younger , faster , better, more power. LH defensively and cheaper in the OF so that's where I started. The money used on Beni could've been used to try and sign a pitcher for multiple years given the Gio, Lynn and Clevinger situations and the dearth of pitching in the next free agent class. But very few agreed or wanted untested, slightly older or unranked rookies. It was a mini retool and not necessarily geared at competing this year unless those rookies performed but would 've looked better for the future and freed up money for other areas. Still hoping the Sox can turn it around this year but with the recent spate of injuries things are looking grim for at least as long as it takes for those players to get healthy without other pieces also getting injured and the pitching to somehow get better. I'll give it to into June and see if Crochet becomes a reliever again or if they are going to rehab him in the minors as a starter. Hard to count on Hendriks to become his old self. He could take a while to get back up to speed. I liked the Beni signing just because it was a LH batter but as stated, I preferred getting younger, faster, LH and more power.
  9. Kelly Groin injury. Graveman and Bummer 15 pitches each yesterday.
  10. Hung in there against a good pitcher. Bullpen was pretty good. Tough loss. Lance shaky early. Gave a quality start.
  11. Alberto broke back on the pitch.
  12. Colas could've bunted on a safety or suicide squeeze. He's a decent bunter.
  13. Was really looking for Colas to have a good AB and look to get his pitch to pull.
  14. He didn't 3rd out at 3rd and all that.
  15. Thank you NY too close to overturn
  16. NICE AB by SHeets facing 103 4 seamer and 100MPH spliitter
  17. It would be nice to actually see back to back wins. A 2 game winning streak isn't asking for much.
