"Hitting" the Skids or WTF happened to the LHH ?
Which is exactly how bad the left handed hitting has been. Not just this year, but in the whole history of the franchise. It's the real curse of why the Sox can never win.

GT 6-4: Dodgers @ Sox (7:10pm)
The left handed hitting sucks but until Sheets, Moncada or Grandal start hitting the Sox will keep struggling. That's why it's easy to play him. The Sox need some left handed hitter to show they can provide some power. So those guys have to keep playing. I wouldn't be adverse to Haseley but he cannot slug .500

It was a good AB considering Kopech problem's in his last start. You get him to walk the 1st better and he might revert to how he pitched in his last start. Make him prove he can throw strikes .

Sosa and Sanchez could help Sox this year
It still doesn't address the biggest problem the Sox have and that's Left handed hitting. It's terrible. Last in MLB in just about every way possible by a large margin.

"Hitting" the Skids or WTF happened to the LHH ?
https://www.soxon35th.com/breaking-down-a-struggling-white-sox-offense/ I'll just start off with that which is fairly in depth. I will also add some things on my own just from looking at Left handed hitters splits among all MLB teams YTD. Batting Average: White Sox 30th .182, Yankees 29th .198 OBP: White Sox 30th .235, 29th Tampa Bay .267 That is a HUGE gap between the 2 worst OBP teams that's how bad the Sox have been hitting LH. Slg. %: White Sox 30th .258. ,Tigers 29th .304. Slg. % is my favorite stat and there is another HUGE gap between the worst and 2nd worst team. That's how bad the LHH on the Sox has been. OPS: White Sox 30th .493 , Tigers 29th .583 Wow the Sox are just beyond TERRIBLE hitting LH . Another HUGE gap between the 2 worst teams. Looking at all this I feel confident in saying that Ted Williams using just one hand could do better. Looking at it another way however might be a way to provide a solution . The Sox are 25th in AB among RHH . Not that surprising since we all know they are a predominantly RHH team . But who has the most LH AB's in the majors can point out some potential trade partners. Diamondbacks, Mets, Pirates, Mariners, Giants, Rays, National, Padres. However, LHH sucks throughout baseball, which seems odd considering they have a platoon advantage. Only half the LHH teams have a cumulative Batting average of over .230 and only 9 teams have a LHH Slg. % at .400+. Guess which teams have the best LHH stats in all of baseball ? Why it's the Twins and the Guardians (Astros 3rd ) !! So somehow they have managed to do very well in that aspect while perhaps at the same time being much more aggressive in pursuit of LHH at the expense of the White Sox. So much fail it defies logic !

Eloy rehab starts again 6/21
They are playing it slow with Eloy. Him and Lynn might end up coming back at the same time so could still be another 10 days away. Things change in 10 days. Sheets could belt 3 HR's and hit .400 in the next 8 games. There's not much of a reason to keep Harrison. The Sox have options like Mendick and Y. Sanchez. They don't have many options for a LH power bat so who knows what they decide but if Sheets sucks as much as he has been he should go down and get his act together down there. If Moncada and Grandal weren't even worse then Sheets there wouldn't be a problem.

It's a Journey - We remember 2005
Is this the Jack Parkman thread ? Keep feeding him and he'll follow you home.

Roster Crunch: Burger, Sheets, Mendick, Harrison, Garcia
Burger should stick no matter what. He and Vaughn are very similar and Vaughn can help him adjust to RHP. Burger having trouble against RHP like Vaughn did last year. Once Burger starts going to right field against RHP his improvement could be similar to Vaughn's . Just needs to learn to be a little more selective, lay off the high fastballs and down and away sliders. Took Abreu a long time but he's gotten more selective and increased his walk rate. The last couple of weeks Abreu has been on fire.

And that’s a White Sox Winner!
Graveman knows how he feels but that being said no one likes hearing I don't want to play. There are limits to how often you pitch but you aren't going to pitch middle innings if you are good enough for high leverage.

And that’s a White Sox Winner!
So really not so sad and unsatisfying

GT 6-4: Sox @ Rays (12:40pm)
I pretend I'm at the ball park cheering them on and making positive noise. No sense booing much. Just have fun regardless of outcome.

GT 6-4: Sox @ Rays (12:40pm)
I'm sure if the Sox hang on we'll get some stat about the last time the Sox won when allowing 5 runs.

6/4/22 Sox @ Rays, 3:10 pm
Everyone's just throwing their 2 cents worth into how bad he's playing looking for answers. Maybe it's all physical and has nothing to do with desire but that's very hard to accept. We know he got Covid and we also hear noise about his partying which could have led to him getting Covid. We have no idea if long Covid is currently hurting him with regards to stamina or weakened muscles or whatever it can do to you. It all adds up to a guy who doesn't seem like baseball is his main focus or if money has corrupted his desire and his youth and social lifestyle led to getting Covid and weakening his body and baseball talents.

And That's a White Sox Winner !!!!
Abreu was mashing until today when his hit streak and on base streak ended. Robert had a 2 RBI double yester day and Moncada had 2 RBI though he has a long way to come before we can declare him back and who the heck knows whats going on with Grandal.
