  1. Probably because Sheets has been one of the more productive hitters in the lineup since they called him back up and 34 yr old Pollock hasn't done squat in that time period. Do you ever actually look at stats ? Eloy doesn't play RF , Pollock hasn't played RF since the 1st week he got here. Your choice in RF is Sheets,Vaughn or Engel.
  2. Yes he has, that's why he is back now. Playing the OF was part of testing the hammy to see if it was going to hold up. Full games running in the OF and on the bases for multiple days in a row.
  3. Not if they are swinging early and often in the count and hitting pitches out of the zone weakly to right field.
  4. Bingo ! I was advocating a week ago for trades but I know that's silly now. Just play Burger and Eloy and bring up Sosa, Carlos Perez, Yolbert Sanchez , Davis Martin, Micker Adolfo . Put Yoan back at 2nd base.
  5. Inbred I like it ! That's one I haven't heard.
  6. You can fire Tony now . Stand Pat at the All Star break as far as trades go then fire Hahn after the season.
  7. Game back on ! Come back everybody ! ?
  8. Plus they have some good LH hitters to screw with the all RH starting staff the Sox have.
  9. I'm not so worried about his ranking. I'm wondering if the Sox have ever got someone into the states during their initial season in the DSL . Or is it strictly the tax thing where he has to be there the whole year? Does the DSL season end before the Kanny season ? He should be seeing better pitching at this point. Don't want him to get used to the bad DSL arms and would love to see him get stateside.
  10. Congrats El Gatito you hit it to RF again. You are now a fine hitter.
  11. wrong thread
  12. The over 50 crowd has seen so much bad Sox baseball we're kind of used to it.
  13. Guess I'll check out Future Sox and see if anything good is happening there lol.
  14. That was a case of it's not who you play it's when you play them. Giants were reeling at the time.
  15. I'm surprised no one here has tried to organize a game where Soxtalk members show up and chant all game "Fire Tony" and boo the Sox all game long. Heck you can make it a thing on twitter and call it Boo the Sox Day.
  16. Luis Robert has gone from la Pantera to El Gatito
  17. Eloy 2 for 4 today, 2 singles and a GIDP. Looks like he played the full game in LF. Do not know if they were GB singles or hit over the infield.
  18. Eloy 2 for 4 today, 2 singles and a GIDP. Looks like he played the full game in LF. Do not know if they were GB singles or hit over the infield.
  19. Why leave out Jerry ?He's Numero Uno on the Most Unwanted List .
  20. "i will say its the first really bad umpiring ive seen in a while however." When you said that I didn't think you were agreeing with me. There was some pretty lousy HP umpiring maybe 2 weeks ago. The Sox were the likely beneficiary in that one. Yeah just looked it up June 22nd White Sox beat Blue Jays 7-6 in 12 inning. This from Twitter : Umpire Scorecards @UmpScorecards · Jun 22 Doug Eddings Total Run Impact of 5.89 runs in yesterday’s game between the White Sox and Blue Jays ranks 5th highest all time and highest so far this season. You check out more of his and others’ games at our website! Basically Edding's was calling everything a strike that were balls against both teams only more bad calls were against Toronto. Eddings strike accuracy for that game was 64% !!! when the average is 88%. 25 of the 70 pitches called strikes were actually balls !
  21. Either way it's a double play only Engel would be on 3rd with 2 outs . If the both make the right play it's 1st and 3rd 1 out. To have 2 runners make simultaneously stupid plays is the reason why it's never happened in baseball history.
  22. Do you watch every day ? I do and there has been some incredibly bad umpiring this year.
  23. But he wasn't calling pitches out of the zone balls for both teams .Cueto was getting strikes called balls and The Sox hitters were getting balls called strikes from Bundy. I mean its bad enough when the Sox swing at so many pitches out of the zone and when they actually show some patience and display a discerning eye they still get called strikes.
