A Guy The Sox Should Sign IMO
Dude , he's 36 and RH so who you going to cut Engel , who is younger , faster and a better fielder ? Cain -.6 fWAR , Engel .2 fWAR . Pollock's been tearing the cover off the ball for the last month. Haseley is 10 yrs younger and LH and he doesn't have a spot on the Sox. Edited to say: Looks like Haseley is coming up after a torrid last month in Charlotte. Probably replaces Moncada when he's IL'd.

Rodon- 6/18/22 GT White Sox @ Houston 3:10 Cueto vs Verlander
That has worked so well this season . Come on now. I know you said primary but every pitcher has bad days where A+ guys could hit them. Still need good LHH hitters in your lineup always and forever. The fact the Sox historically have had the worst LHH and have been a historically bad franchise goes hand in hand.- 6/18/22 GT White Sox @ Houston 3:10 Cueto vs Verlander
Sorry to hear it . Totally sucks.- 6/18/22 GT White Sox @ Houston 3:10 Cueto vs Verlander

No one said " Go pack a lunch !"- It's time to put Jose out to pasture
Yea he does. Sometimes pitchers own you and sometimes you own certain pitchers. No one really knows why. Maybe Jose has just got some uncharacteristic meatballs from Verlander or run into Jose when he's hot. But I think there is a theory out there that Jose does pretty good against some very good pitchers. I don't know how well that stands up when tested but Stone always talks about it.- 6/17 G/T White Sox v Houston 7:10 Chgo Time lift off
If you are going to bench a RHP against RHP the logical choice to sit the most is Pollock. He's hot right now but maybe he won't be by the time we get Eloy back. Plus he's been a part time player for the Dodgers the last 3 years and he's done well in that time. Vaughn has improved greatly against RHP and should be in the lineup 90% of the time . Robert still needs as many reps as possible against all pitching. Burger is murdering lefties and not so much righties so he could sit against righties but he's still a potent HR threat against RHP he may match up with well. Hahn does need to make a trade or 2 to bring in some LHH . He screwed it up this off season probably because there's not a lot of LHH who actually fit the bill in the positions of need which means somebody like Eloy would have to be moved when their trade value is down. It's been impossible to count on him for anything. Who would've thought Joc Pederson would be way more valuable to the Giants than Eloy is for the White Sox ? I'd trade Eloy for Bryan Reynolds and the Sox would have to throw in more to get Reynolds.Unfortunately Reynolds arm is the weakest part of his game. Other names , Cedric Mullins ,Anthony Santander, Ian Happ, Daulton Varsho (who I wanted in the off season but is likely to become a permanent fixture in the AZ . OF because) 34 yr. old David Peralta is a FA next yr. He would probably be fairly cheap to acquire but he never plays RF. Don't think he has much of an arm now from multiple surgeries on throwing shoulder. Trent Grisham having a terrible year so far but a damn good defensive player. Maybe the Padres part with him. Jesus Sanchez (Marlins) big physical tools undermined by his approach but big time power potential. Taylor Trammel (Sea) Nice OBP and defense. Power not so much. Odubel Herrera Plays CF & LF way more than RF. FA in 2023 might be an option. Having a nice yr for Phillies so far.- 6/17 G/T White Sox v Houston 7:10 Chgo Time lift off
Eloy is an odd one in that he hits RHP better than LHP. But he's only had one full season and the rest of the time he's getting less than 300 PA per season.- It's time to put Jose out to pasture
Jose Abreu is RH so I'm not where you saw anyone say he fattens up on RHP. Like most RHH they are better against LHP and the majority of LHH are better against RHP . Abreu, Vaughn and the majority of good hitters do better against opposite handed pitchers.- It's time to put Jose out to pasture
SO are you saying a team is better off using all RHH 's as long as they can hit RHP ? Or is a team better off using all LHH who can hit RHP since somewhere around 73% of all pitcher in MLB are RH ? Do you think making the pitcher change how he does things on the mound has no effect at all on how he pitches? The great pitchers maybe not, but all you need is one mistake pitch to change the outcome of a game. Lesser pitchers could make even more mistakes and if those mistakes get punished you win more games . The better your LHH are, the more they can punish those mistakes because you usually see opposite handed pitching better than you see same handed ones. That is why players switch hit. It's also why when a manager pinch hits it's usually with a guy who hits with the opposite hand than the pitcher, unless on the rare occasion someone hits same handed pitcher better. That is the major reason why most hitters hit better against opposite handed pitchers. This is why a lineup has to be balanced and you see teams try to load up against our RHP by stacking the lineup with LHH's. These things have not changed in the history of baseball nor will they because the ability to see pitches better is based on angles and line of sight.- Apple TV plus
A desktop Lenovo. I've tried to connect them via wifi but I can't get one to recognize the other one but I'm not the most tech savvy guy around. I would need maybe a 25 ft. HDMI cable . My monitor is hooked up to the desktop by the old VGA method but it does have a HDMI port as does the computer and the TV have several. The computer has only one HDMI port. MY TV has Chromecast but I don't think my computer does. I think I actually have got the computer to recognize the TV before actually but without Chromecast on the computer I couldn't get my monitor picture on the TV . If you think you have a solution PM me. Thanks.- Apple TV plus
And on the opposite end of the spectrum I love free ! But some people are more easily annoyed than others. Broadcasters are just noise. I am not annoyed that they are bad since I'm watching the Sox for FREE on a big screen TV in 4K or as close as I can come to 4K (HDR10). It sure beats watching them (again for FREE ) on my 21 inch computer monitor in SD.- 6/16 Games
Interesting if nothing else . Lefty reliever Garrrett Schoenle got a start for a 2nd time in a row and pitched 5 innings with just 2 hits , no runs , no walks and 4 K's for the Dash. He lowered his season ERA to 0.63 in 42.1 IP with a WHIP of 0.80 .- Eloy rehab starts again 6/21
If we are waiting for the new rehab assignment to start in order to get to when the 20 days is up , it's getting pushed back more and more. Already looking very close to the 2nd week in July as the end date .However Eloy is expected to be back before the 20 days has expired. Now it's a question of when the 20 days is going to start. The original tweeter thought it was going to be Tuesday and now we'll have to see if its Friday.- 6/17 G/T White Sox v Houston 7:10 Chgo Time lift off
