  1. Actually, if youre going to get more fastballs or pitches in the zone hitting in front of Murakami against RHP it helps to be LH and have the ability to drive the ball.
  2. I dont know if what I heard is right because this wasnt from a tweet that I saw butaybe someone else did. But it just badically said the Sox hit the least when there pitchers pitch their best and they hit their best when the pitcher pitch their worst. I think it was Sox offense 30th in run scored when pitchers give up 5 runs or less. And Sox pitching is 30th when Sox score more than 5 runs.
  3. It's a good thing Beni was batting leadoff otherwise he might not get to bat in the 9th . DM pitched a great game ! Taylor and Dominguez were nails ! 2 of 3 against a very hot home team. Only their 2nd lost series of the year.
  4. You obviously care or you are a generally unhappy person to think you are the end all be all of how a MLB franchise should be run and that you have all the answers. You are here ripping on people who in general just enjoy Sox baseball and provide valuable insight and information to our fanbase. They are not disenchanted with most things White Sox as you seem to be while claiming you don't care. If you didnt care you'd just go root for another team that you feel make all the right moves . Or you just shut up because people who dont care tune out which you arent doing. You seem to enjoy taking potshots at an organization you don't care about and doing the same to people here who are generally content with how the team is progressing considering the owner decided to do the bare minmum as he prepares to sell the team. Everyone else is dumb or a sheep or water carrier if they dont agree with you.
  5. Unreal !! The odds were not in favor of any of the 3 players extending their HR streaks and the odds were much much longer that all 3 would extend their streaks yet they all did !!
  6. They wont trade him until it appears they have to which would be trade deadline next year and he has refused to sign an extension no matter what the offer is. No idea if there will be an offer worthy especially without Ishbia's help. The only way JR resigns him is if he's attracting a lot of sponsorship deals and could bring in close to what the contract offer is. Not sure how likely that is since we aren't privy to financial info. We also arent entirely sure how open to being resigned Mune is or his feelings about how he fits in here with his young teammates. The length of his 2 year contract with the Sox was his idea since he wasnt getting huge offers just so he'd have time to adjust to the league and still enter free agency relatively young and still able to attract big offers. It would also help for the Sox to keep winning and generate some excitement and get big crowds and have Japanese style ways of cheering like hitting those inflatable clappers together like they did in Anaheim when they had Ohtani. People need to be supportive now if they want to have any chance at all of retaining him. It may only end in more disappointment but you never know until you try.
  7. Ahh so it was based on a very very small sample size of discontent. Got it .
  8. Anything is possible but the pen is still a big detriment to consistently winning. Reasonably fix the pen and they could actually play .500 depending how fast Schultz is consistently good and the HR's keep coming and multiple varying factors.
  9. ???? What makes you think he can't steal 2nd ? Kind of hard to steal 2nd if you hit a triple and what shouldve been a double but turned into the weird inside the park HR. He had good stolen base numbers in the minors.
  10. What makes you think they'd dump Fedde ? They'd certainly try him in the pen before DFA or trade. I think we have until the end of July to see what happen if either Smith , Shane or Hagen, or Tanner McDougal force Fedde or anyone else to get moved into other roles.
  11. Speaking of consecutive games with a HR not only did Murakami's streak get extended to 4 consecutive games with a HR , Montgomery's streak is now 3 and Vargas now at 2 straight games. Tough opposing LHP going for the D'Backs tonight having a very good start to his season Eduardo Rodriguez. Anthony Kay though has been equally impressive so could be a tight game.
  12. Luzinski and Kittle both in 1983. Frank Thomas did it twice in 1994. Carlos Lee in 2003 Konerko in 2011 Pierzynski in 2012.
  13. We'll see how the year plays out. I had confidence that the Sox would improve this year almost as much as they did last year over 2024. A 19 game improvement over 2024 when the kids started showing up was a promising sign. The real test is can it keep rising ? I predicted a 17 game win improvement this year. That's ambitious but as I said in Multiple posts I thought there could be a chance that Murakami & Montgomery could be the White Sox modern version of Mantle & Maris. Also the pitching has to hold up and get boosts from the free agent signings, rookies and guys returning from injuries. So far so good there. It's a roller coaster ride and we're seeing how fun it could be now. But I'm just going to wait and see how it looks when the season ends and let the usual suspects keep being kill-joys .
  14. If Murakami homers today it'll tie the Sox record for most consecutive games with a HR (5). https://www.mlb.com/stories/game-preview/825097?storylocal=web-scores-preview-embed
  15. Not to get technical because you clearly have great baseball mind but since Antonacci is LH if he "pulled" a ball it would be down the RF line . Only RH hitters can pull a ball down the LF line. 🙂
  16. Maybe it has more to do with the official jersey suppliers of MLB .
  17. Another 1976 reference to go with the Kevin Bell one .Boz Scaggs Silk Degrees album with the Lido Shuffle on it was released in 76 and got a bunch of Grammy nominations.
  18. I still have to turn off my wifi to get Soxtalk
  19. Well Im old and maybe you are not so I didnt expect many to catch it. No worries .I did mean what I said but it was more about the reference since I leave bad players alone usually.
  20. Antonacci joins Kevin Bell in 1976 having his 1st career HR being Inside-the-park. Bell had golden locks.
  21. I only said that as a musical reference to the Lido Shuffle by Boz Scaggs.
