  1. Thanks not bad yourself though I'm more familiar with SOS by ABBA I posted a few more musical ones. When Minaya was brought in I asked Why Why Why Minaya as a tribute/parody to the old Tom Jones song Why Why Why Delilah and when Betances came in I said we get Betances and the Yanks get God Only Knows (old Beach Boys song). I had another one ready to go when Gardner led off with a triple and then SHields got 2 straight pop outs and I thought he'd get out of the inning but then gave up the HR. I even had it all typed up and ready to go, You Don't Mess Around with Jim , the old JIm Croce song but I had to scratch it once he gave up the HR . Oh i just remembered when the Sox were leading I said I know I said let there be light but I didn''t expect to be Blinded BY The Light ( The hit song by Manfred Mann's Earth Band written by Springsteen and Lil Wayne sampled the Manfred Mann version for his version.
  2. I think maybe he posted that after the HR if not yea good call.
  3. We get Betances now. Yankees get God Only Knows ( Beach Boys)
  4. Exactly what I asked .a few posts before yours only in a musical way.The only answer is Renteria
  5. He's been pitching better lately but he did pitch 1.2 last night so hence the question Why why why ?
  6. Why Why Why Minaya ..sung to the old Tom Jones song why why why Delilah
  7. Now I feel better with Shields out of there. No need to let him face a lefty with that short porch and tendency to lose it very quickly once it starts.
  8. Damn I jinxed Shields by preparing a post that anticipated him getting out of the inning unscored upon after the 2nd popout
  9. LOL its Revved up like a deuce Another runner in the night but nice catch on the song lyric.
  10. I'm dumbfounded and I wrote let there be light . I didn't expect to be blinded by the light.
  11. Don't get your hopes up for wither of those things. I'll guess the Sox quest for a season high 5 game win streak ends tonight. If not there is some serious cosmic mojo happening .
  12. I could see him starting 2019 in AAA. His last 6 starts in AA were ridiculously good., like an 0,29 ERA and he did better in AA than he did in A+ . But also more innings at A+ so I could see him returning to AA also. A 2020 call up seems about right barring any unforeseen dramas
  13. I've seen a few posts that suggest Cease being up next year either mid season or even earlier. The chances of that happening arel extremely slim. 2017 he pitched around 94 ininnings. 2018 124 innings before they shut him down. Cease also had Tommy John surgery after he was drafted, Here's a link to a Q an A with Dylan talking about how being brought along slowly has helped him and how much he improved as a pitcher following the surgery from March of 2017. https://www.mlb.com/news/cubs-prospect-dylan-cease-on-tommy-john/c-219438510 Handling him with care is what's worked so far. He definitely won't be a guy they rush.
  14. Just so its not confusing that team was projected to have a 37 WAR. When I 1st read it I thought you meant 37 wins in a 162 game schedule until I read the article.
  15. The whole free agent situation will be very interesting. I'm all for going after the big fishes . The most interesting position players that may fit the Sox needs in my opinion are Eduardo Escobar, Michael Brantley, Marwin Gonzales, Mike Moustakas, AJ Pollock ,Adam Jones, Andrew McCutchen and Josh Donaldson.
  16. True and they had won 5 in a row and 15 of 20 so they were hotter than the Sox coming in and were at home. Those games at GR Covey Lopez and Gio started, Covey and Gio pitched bad . Lopez had a really good game .it was good seeing both Kopech and Rodon pitch effectively without their best stuff.
