To whoever said Willie had more to offer in terms of defensive versatility than Valdez, don't forget that Valdez can play 2B, 3B, and SS, and we currently need backups for SS and 3B. While Willie can play OF, so can Gload, Perez, and Everett as backups. Not saying I think Willie would be kept over Valdez, but just pointing something out.

When you say get the most, do you mean on TV? In that case, none. If you mean attending actual games though, I'd say either NIU in DeKalb (wait a minute...they do HAVE a baseball team right?) or Northwestern in Evanston. Or go for the good old Schaumburg Flyers in the independent Northern League.

College Baseball is fun stuff. Too bad it's almost impossible for Big 10 teams to go to Omaha. Did anyone see the article in the last BA about the Big 10? It was good stuff. My favorite non-Big 10 team is CS Fullerton. Is that where you're at, Jason?

Oh, by the way, I'm not saying the Illini will go undefeated and/or win the National Championship. I am saying you're giving too much credit to Kansas and too little to Illinois.
