Got it today. Awesome. Onwer's Mode rocks. To whoever asked, I gave Gooch a 3 star potential rating.

MVP Baseball 2005
I should get it whenever the store gets it in. Also, if you guys need any help updating the lists for the minors (like figuring out stat ratings or whatever) I'd be glad to help.

ESPN Preseason Power Rankings
My mommy told me that if I didn't have anything nice to say, I should say nothing at all. Nothing at all.

MVP Baseball 2005
QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Feb 14, 2005 -> 10:14 PM) For the guys that were around last year, i just wanna get a rough estimate to see who would be interested in a ps2 online league this year again? last year's fizzled out quickly, we'll have to try better this time around. I might be interested.

League 4 - look at first post
Should be fun. I can think of a couple Sox players who could be taken in the first 5 rounds, depending on when there is a rush of a certain position.

MVP Baseball 2005
QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Feb 13, 2005 -> 10:51 AM) $30 bucks too??? That's amazing. The wonderful world of competetive pricing. I hope they have Iguchi in, but I dunno. He was signed a day or two after the roster cut off date. I already preordered my copy.

Yahoo Fantasy Baseball sign ups!!!
I'd like to be in a Soxtalk league. If there's space, I'd like to get into League #1. If there's not, oh well, that's fine. Also, btw, if there's not space in League 1, I'd be willing to commish league 4.

Yahoo Fantasy Baseball sign ups!!!
The Yahoo leagues should be up within two weeks. That's my guess.

Farnsworth to Tigers
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 9, 2005 -> 11:28 AM) So they have a closer whose mom has been kidnapped, and should play-but who knows, a $12 closer with a bad arm, and a headcase for a bullpen. Like I said before Tom Hicks>Mike Illitch Hey, I could be a $12 closer with a bad arm, if the Tigers would sign me!

2005 Draft Possibility for the Sox...
QUOTE(beck72 @ Feb 7, 2005 -> 04:58 AM) Also, the Sox picked up a lot of SP's early in the 2004 draft [gio, wesler, lumsden]. But I do usually say go for the best available Don't forget Liotta.

ISU Anyone?
The last time ISU was in the Big Dance, Rico Hill was wearing Red and White.

Weirrrrd
So I simmed the season through OOTP6, just to see what would happen. Well, Scott Podsednik led the league in batting average at .361! And Joe Borchard hit .281! Also, Josh Fields came up and hit .277 with 3 homers and 10 rbis. Final standings: Minnesota 89-73 Detroit 87-75 Cleveland 81-81 KC 80-82 Chicago 74-88 So odd...normally, OOTP is a very accurate sim. At least I hope it's innacurate this time around. Oh yeah...the DBacks topped the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 4 games to 2 to win the World Series.

I think this is the second time I've said this today: Wow, just wow.

2005 Draft Possibility for the Sox...
I would really prefer not draft a reliever in the first round. I doubt he'll be there at 15, unless he has a bad spring, but the guy I want is Jeff Clement, a Catcher out SC (that's either Southern Cal or South Carolina, can't remember which...USC, I think). I'd like to get another catcher in the system. If not that, an SS or an SP. In BA, they had us taking a high school SS, can't remember his name though. Bristow, I think.

Super Bowl
Just to be different...Eagles. I think I was out of it LONG time ago, haha.

If you had total control over sports...
I actually enjoy watching the AHL from time to time. Better than the NHL.

Barons Lineup Projection
Well, Jason, aren't we the fountain of pessimism? Well, I'll counter that! Kris Honel will be a HOF, record over 4000 strikeouts, 512 Wins, and have precisely 11 and a half perfect games. Per season. Alright, I'm done with me being stupid now. I predict: Will get a shot, won't do much. But he wouldn't surprise me if he turned out to be decent.

*Official* College Basketball Thread
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Feb 2, 2005 -> 07:53 AM) I call myself a Bandwagon Supporter, so I'm riding on the Utah train as of now (thanks to Bogut). Last year it was Connecticut (with Okafor), and I wouldn't mind seeing Georgia Tech do well again (with the Aussie Center Schlerser? dude). The GT guy you're talking about is 7-footer Luke Schensher. And yes, he is an Aussie.

Girls and the Superbowl
When you say gravy...do you mean the stuff you put on mashed potatoes? Because I call that gravy...I have no idea what else you would call it.
