synopsis without spoilers?
Sorry this is a week late, but whatever.
Eye of the Needle: German Agent finds out Allies secret plan to deceive Germany, and the Allies try to stop him
Hornet Flight: Couple of Danish kids discover the German's "Secret Weapon", and try to get information about it to Britain.
A Dangerous Fortune: Tribulations of a mid-to-late 19th century British banking company.
The first two are WWII era (like you couldn't guess that). All three are VERY good, and I highly recommend all.
I also just started Jack Daws, and that is really good so far too. It's about Female British agents preceeding D Day.
Last night, I beat the Cubs 1-0, behind a Complete Game Shut Out, 3 hit performance by Freddy. Wood pitched pretty good too, only gave up five hits in 7 or 8 innings.
Eh, I'm not as upset as I thought I'd be when they lost.
Also, I'd rather only a team OTHER than OSU would have beaten them, if only for the fact that OSU can't play in the NCAA Tourney. If another team like, say, Indiana or Minnesota (perferably the latter) had beaten them, at least it would enhance the resume.
ANY Ken Follett novel, but especially Eye of the Needle (that was already a movie, but it was 1981, so it can be remade), Hornet Flight, and A Dangerous Fortune, because those are the ones I've read. But honestly, all his books are awesome.
I decided to go young. Trade Thomas, Wright, and Grilli to Tampa Bay for Upton and Kazmir. Also traded Jackson and Cotts to Seattle for Buhner (fictional player, but only 19 or 20, and on the top 100). We'll see how it works out.
Time for a roll call. We're missing one person, and please post here with your Yahoo ID so we can verify you registered. I also did this at the League Page, so check it out there as well.
Yeah, I noticed that with Kazmir.
And Jason, I was thinking about adding a Soda Stand...I currently have just pizza and ice cream, and they sell pretty well.
How much do you guys make (pure profit) a game? My last game, I think I made 330,000 or so. And that was the profit. However, it was a promotion game.
