  1. Good stuff. If I can just figure out the W-S rotation, I'll write out the pitching preview, and my article will be done.
  2. Man, Widger ripped that ball. Nice play by Chavez.
  3. Wait to start it, guys! Aargh, Dye, when are you gonna break out of that slump?
  4. QUOTE(T R U @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 08:57 PM) soggy bread is gross Are you kidding me? That's the best part! And nope, I'm not kidding...honestly, I would be just as satisified with dipping a roll in the (italian beef) juice. The meat just takes up space to me. I LOVE beef in general (Seasoned Skirt Steak+Rice Pilaf is one of my favorite meals), but that's one sandwich I'm fine without it.
  5. I suppose that, if the situation were reversed, I'd much rather go to Big League games. Still...I'd like to get to more minor league games.
  6. I gave them a C. I agree that they should have gone with Mike Williams first, and JJ Arrington in the second round. Then again, we have the benefit of hindsight, perhaps they thought Arrington would be gone by then, who knows.
  7. I was just wondering...say you had your choice-would you rather live in the big city and go to a couple Major League games a year, or live in a smaller city, and go to more minor league games a year? Remember, while the bigs may be the "Real Deal", think of the cost--way cheaper to attend a minor league game, and you could attend more of them. Also, while I've never been to an affiliated minor league game (I've always wanted to go to one), I have a feeling the game would seem more "pure". I could be way off base on that, but who knows. Something about being able to see the younger guys, too. So, for me, while I love being able go to White Sox games, I think I'd prefer to live in a smaller area and go to more games. And when I say smaller, I'm talking something about the size of, say, the Quad Cities (just the first thing that popped in my head). So, which do you choose?
  8. Sweeney has been placed on the DL with a sore hammy.
  9. Just to clarify, the Cubs were last in the World Series in 1945--they played the Tigers.
  10. Yeah, I was waiting for Hawk, but he never came.
  11. Bah, double. Yes, I realize that's like, 3 minutes late. Stweart on second, 1-2 1 out.
  12. What happened? Just curious, if you don't want to tell, no biggie.
  13. Ozuna should be playing over Timo, period.
  14. Ozuna is one of my new favorite players. Hustles all the time.
  15. Thanks for that. According to a poster on the board (BHAMBARONS), Sweeney injured his hammy last night while rounding first. I'll post more information when I get it.
  16. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 03:17 PM) • Jason Gage murdered in Waterloo as part of a gay hate crime...OHS grad... Did anyone else notice that? And jeez, Heads, good luck man. Are you near the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids area by any chance?
  17. I'm not sure whether to laugh at the story or the fact that a Great Great Grandmother is 64. Wait--is that even possible?! Someone is pulling my leg.
  18. Any more news on Brandon Rush? Also, where's the Illini Basketball message board?
  19. The article in the Sun-Times this morningwas high on Brian Gregory, Dayton's coach.
  20. Yesterday's Daily Dish talked about Fields and Borchard (and also had a small blurb about Gio Gonzalez). I haven't seen it posted here yet, so whatever. And it's not insider content, so I should be able to post it. http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/minors/050414dish.html If the mods don't want the material, I can just edit it out and leave the link. There is that thing at the bottom of the page that says it can't be redistributed. Oops.
