QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 19, 2012 -> 04:54 PM) The prayer at the end was Jewish I think. Yeah that was definitely Hebrew, not Arabic.
  2. I'll take it. Still too many turnovers and defensive lapses, but better than Saturday.
  3. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Dec 17, 2012 -> 05:43 PM) At least these idiots would know that showing up at funerals, where emotions are raw and people are grieving, would have reprecussions, like them getting their asses kicked. If taunting family members with chants of "those little kids are in hell" isn't reason enough to beat their asses, I don't know what is. Sorry, it just pisses me off that these families who have just experienced the worst possible thing that can happen to a parent, that they have to sit through those assholes adding to their grief. f*** that. I know it's not manly to admit it but I cried on Friday night when I found out about it since I have a 3 year old son in pre school and I don't know if I could ever get through what those poor people have to go through. If there is a God, may He help them get through it. I can't remember their name, but isn't there a motorcycle group that follows WBC around and attempts to drown them out/shield them from the funeral attendees?
  4. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Dec 13, 2012 -> 05:47 PM) http://btn.com/2012/12/13/take-the-survey-...-do-you-prefer/ I actually kinda like this inner-outer idea.
  5. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Dec 17, 2012 -> 12:14 PM) Weird. Where'd he say that at? I usually love Bilas' insights and opinions but that's silly. Yeah, Bilas is one of my favorites. The only time it gets a little annoying is with his Duke homerism, but I'll give a guy a little slack if it's the team he played for.
  6. QUOTE (Sox1 @ Dec 17, 2012 -> 01:26 PM) It won't matter, the Bears can't beat any of the playoff teams. Does anyone really think that the Bears could beat the Falcons, 49ers, Packers, Giants and Redskins? The way they've been playing? Probably not. But my gut feeling is that the only two definite losses there would be San Fran or GB.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 16, 2012 -> 10:12 PM) Wow, Homeland goes out with a bang. To say the least. This could go so many directions right now, and I can't really imagine any of them.
  8. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 16, 2012 -> 09:44 PM) Deadspin has a list of tweets made when Obama made his speech. Pretty ignorant. Just read that. Oh my.
  9. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 16, 2012 -> 08:27 PM) 95%? LOL I have no idea. I suppose if you're counting all of Chicago as one district then the percentage would be a lot smaller.
  10. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 16, 2012 -> 07:57 PM) I want those people tortured. There are no words. How Phelps is still admitted to the bar I have no idea.
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 16, 2012 -> 07:05 PM) Did that "I am Adam Lanza's mother" blog post wind up in here? Can't remember if it was just here or a dozen times on my facebook feed. Want the Truth Behind “I Am Adam Lanza’s Mother”? Read her blog. I was afraid of something like this....
  12. QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 16, 2012 -> 04:57 PM) He's a big ass dude, that's one of the reasons we drafted him. That being said, I disagree. I didn't think they looked bad in real time. I thought in real time it looked bad because at least 2 of the PIs Jeffery had his arms out so it looked like he was pushing off, even if on replay you could see it was nothing.

  14. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 16, 2012 -> 07:44 PM) This is what it will look like early in the season every year. That's true. When you think of last year's dominant Kentucky team, you don't think of their December version, but the March/April one.
  15. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Dec 16, 2012 -> 06:40 PM) Lest ye forget, also with Brian May and Roger Taylor from Queen. Dude is living the life. That doesn't surprise me but I can't place it. When was this? I know he's a big Queen fan. When I saw them in Saint Paul they did a not-on-the-set-list cover of Tie Your Mother Down.
  16. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 16, 2012 -> 06:12 PM) Iowa is collapsing in upon itself lately. I have to imagine one more bowl-less season, or even maybe a crappy bowl, and Ferentz would be gone?
  17. QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 16, 2012 -> 05:52 PM) Hey, Illinois. You can blow these guys out, if ya want. Sweet Jebus, that must have been a thrilling first half if it's 25-20 in the second half.
  18. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Dec 16, 2012 -> 03:16 PM) I'm just not going to send my kids to public school. Teachers are spoiled rotten by their unions, they're f***ing terrible at their jobs and they clearly aren't safe. Besides, all public schools really are anymore is indoctrination centers to send kids for a life in the Democratic party (sure as hell dont teach math or science worth a damn anymore). Just forsake our broken public school system and you'll be fine. Really depends where you are. If you're in the New Trier district, you're an idiot not to use the public system. But for probably >95% of districts, it's definitely a decision that requires a lot of serious thought.
  19. Man, it's gotta be awesome to be Dave Grohl. Grow up idolizing the Beatles and especially Led Zeppelin, and eventually share stages with Jones, Page and McCartney. I wouldn't be surprised if he's been with Plant at some point, I'm just not aware of it.
  20. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Dec 15, 2012 -> 10:40 PM) Aww ya, it was just announced my 2 favorite bands will be playing a show in Chicago March 1st...Can't wait, Gaslight Anthem and The Bouncing Souls. I haz boner I'm trying to see them in Minneapolis. Stoked.
  21. QUOTE (danman31 @ Dec 15, 2012 -> 09:01 PM) All I said was the on court performances haven't been all that good. I think that's pretty clear when you can't beat Butler. No, I agree with you. I was just wondering what sort of team you think of as the gold standard.
  22. ATTN: Balta. Comment requested. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/space/9...id-impacts.html The spray thing sounds cool.
  23. IU got Noel Padmore, a 3-star (Scout) CB out of Florwery Branch, GA, the same high school as the LB they got earlier, Kristopher Smith.
  24. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 15, 2012 -> 03:41 PM) They're very vulnerable just like every other team in the country. They're a great team, possibly the best in the nation but the juggernaut talk was silly. Yup. Long season still. Duke look like the best team at the moment, probably.
