August appearances by first place teams on MLB Network:
Yankees 7
Rangers 3
Nationals 3
Reds 3
Dodgers 1
SOX -0-
THAT is what I was saying and this proves it
Wednesday at 6 PM MDT we have Sox and Yankees on ESPN national boradcast
Saturday at 5 PM MDT on WGN we have Sox and Mariners
Now any other team in first place playing the yankmees would be on for all three games on either ESPN or MLB-Netowrk. Just saying

Agreed. Yet the O's do us a huge favor by sweeping the p**** cats. We could have been in 2nd place right now, but instead the Sox are still in the driver's seat.
Good point
Judging the reaction to this three game fiasco with he KC Bombers makes me think that baseball as we know it has come to an end. The sky has certainly fallen. RIP .
Wait a minute there are some games left...

Mark Gonzales @MDGonzales
From the Sox's game notes: Sox will try to avoid being swept for the second time this season (July 20-22 at Detroit).
Sox lead majors with 31 HRs in August. Only 8-9 in last 17 games vs. AL Central
We have to do better against the Central division foes for sure

Assuming he's over the concussion symptoms, the week off probably did things like his wrist and legs a lot of good.
That was my thought too
There is no mention yet of any roster moves. I am sure at least one has to be made to accomodate Konerko's return. We arfe carrying 13 pitchers now I think so I have a hard time believing Hector is coming back up unless a pitcher is going on the dl. If Hudfson is going on the dl I would expect a position player to be added. Not much sense in bringing up pitcher #14 for the roster does it? Plus they sent Hector to Charlotte to start. Humber has been doing pretty decent out of the pen.

Nice save Tyler
Flowers has agood arm for sure. Both catchers have done pretty darn good in cutting down base runners this year
Jordan Danks hit a homerun and won a game for us. Wise made the "catch." Both are role players at this point. I have nothing against Wise and thjink he can be a contributor in his role. Danks can too. Both can go catch the ball and have speed. I have to think the move to keep Wise up and send Danks down is just roster moves that have to be made and possibly acknowleding Wise has experience in the bigs. I am sure Jordan will be back up in a couple weeks for the rest of the season. It seems we live and die on one play good or bad one way to much when talking about players
