  1. QUOTE (Karko's Throat Skin @ Sep 2, 2010 -> 07:27 PM) I'm excited for this considering I now live in Austin. I have the MLB.tv online package but a 42 inch TV is better than a 19 inch computer monitor That's my plan- I'll be in front of the big screen
  2. Danks has to improve on his past appearance and usualy he comes back with a vengance
  3. If the hurricane passes by on time it looks like MLB Network is carrying the Saturday night game and TBS the Sunday afternoon game as the Sox' battle in Beantown and it also appears MLB Network is carrying Monday's afternoon game of Sox versus Tigers in the Motor City and possibly the Tuesday night game also. Can you believe it!
  4. Quentin with no value? Please. Let's not undervalue our own people, but I see no reason to even consider a trade of CQ
  5. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 09:00 PM) That's because Manny is a bum. No he is a former bum acquired from the Dodgers (Bums)
  6. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 07:21 PM) JR won't let PK go anywhere. Worry about it when we get there. Well then sign him now JR
  7. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 08:15 PM) Me, I'm already doin' back flips. This kid is impressive! You are right and hopefully he only gets better which ought to really scare some guys on the opposition
  8. Paul, is the MVP IMO. Hope we keep him a few more years
  9. I like the post but can't help but see the reluctance to believe this is real or will last. He is a great comleemnt in the pen to Thornton, but to say he has anything better than Matt may be a stretch at this point. He is very good and will get better whether he is in the pen or made a starter
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 07:00 PM) Way to go Sale! Proud of Ozzie for not being afraid of letting Sale close it out. Yes sir!
  11. Settle down Sale and just pitch to get him out
  12. Off day tomorrow so what do we do with the 9th? Sale or let Santos go two? Or Linebrink? roll of the dice anymore
  13. I was going to say something bout santos not having it anymore after the single to Nix, but a GIDP follows so he still has it
  14. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 07:29 PM) If we somehow sweep the Indians, I'd say we definitely got away with at least one win we didn't deserve, especially today's game. But that's what good teams have to do in SEPT. The only problem is we haven't closed out this game just yet. NIX/BROWN/CROWE, we just need to overpower those guys. We deserve every win we get pardner!
  15. Apprently DeAza is not that fast. Oh well. What are the chances Pena stays in for the 8th?
  16. I love Paul Konerko (Paul Konerko for MVP)
  17. Ramirez homers and Pierre walks with one out. I think we still might have a chance here. Hopefully Vizquel doesn't bunt again
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 05:49 PM) Stiff Lower back for Garcia. Lots of back issues on this staff
  19. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 05:46 PM) Vizquel was bunting on his own for a base hit. This just in, we gave this game away and we have nobody to replace Garcia in the rotation. I just was able to check in and that's what I wanted to know as soon as I saw the boxscore on gameday. What happened to Garcia?
  20. Go get em Fredie Garcia and the Sox team as a whole (just to be sure)
  21. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 12:51 AM) I think the plantar fasciitis definitely has something to do with Quentin's outfield play. I have had the same thing for 3 1/2 months and I still don't feel confident to run hard or jump without tearing the ligament on the bottom of the foot again...it's really a lingering problem, and imagine having it as a professional athlete. Don't score the run with 1 out and the other team comes out the next inning with the momentum on their side...always. I suffered from plantiar faciatis in both feet and it took a year to heal up before I felt good enough to engage in running exercises
  22. QUOTE (Friend of Nordhagen @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 12:42 AM) I know; he was supposed to be a good defender. I don't know if he used to, but he seems to run on his heels a lot. That's a big no-no, fundamentally, for outfield play. bad habit maybe since he was coming off that foot injury?
  23. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 12:41 AM) At least Edwin pitched over the mistake. Something most of our other pitchers seem to have trouble doing. That's the mark of a good pitcher
  24. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 12:40 AM) Not at Stanford. Supposedly he always had pretty good or at least decent defensive metrics in the minors and with the D-Backs, and REPORTEDLY a good throwing arm as well. All offseason, the theory is that he would be "fine" once he went back to his natural position in RF. So much for that. It is a confusing thing for sure. He has shown some good moves out there and at other times just like this one he has been real bad
