  1. Of course tonight we have Sunday Nigh Baseball on ESPN, which is always great. I like to listen to Joe Morgan and Jon Miller Tuesday night on WGN from Oakland Friday night on WGN from Los Angeles and a place called Anaheim
  2. QUOTE (robinventura23 @ Sep 19, 2010 -> 06:25 PM) I'll be there tonight.....with a bag on my head. I will be behind the big screen and if I put a bag on my head I won't be able to see the game or get to the fridge for a beer
  3. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 19, 2010 -> 06:48 PM) They had Hudson until close to the deadline. He wasn't fetching Dunn or any of the other hitters at the July deadline. And when he did trade Hudson it left some folks head scratching. I think E Jax has a goood future but Hudson does too and the question why trade him? But, I guess that's a different story
  4. Why trade your talent? You buld around your talent not trade them away Next year it should be Morel at 3B Paulie at 1B Alexei at SS Beckham at 2B AJP at C Viciedo at DH Rios in CF CQ in RF Pierre maybe in LF Vizquel and Lillibridge are the infield super subs
  5. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 18, 2010 -> 09:26 PM) I would be so happy if this happened. Larusa being forced out of the Sox managerial spot was all on the ahoulders of the ole Hakeroo who played the role of GM to less than stellar reviews
  6. Quick and painless in the bottom of the 9th and the Sox drop again
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 18, 2010 -> 10:48 PM) Really nice inning by Infante. That's the first time I have seen him and I like the difference between his heat and his off speed stuff. It looked like they were having trouble picking up the slow stuff. I wonder how much of a chance he has at filling a Santos type role next year as the first man out of the pen and a garbage man while he learns on the job? I am guessing we will have some open bullpen spots to fill don't you think?
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 18, 2010 -> 09:50 PM) 5 IP, 3 runs, 8 hits, 2 walks for Harrell. 5 K's in 5 IP isn't bad, the WHIP still is through the roof. I haven't been impressed
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 18, 2010 -> 10:28 PM) Another bullpen collapse. For the love of Tulo, shut down Santos and Sale, Ozzie! Pitching Sale on consecutive days is just so f***ing retarded right now by the Sox organization. I see that Sale got introduced to bullpen failure that has plauged the Sox this season. They all have to join in with the giving up of the big bombs late
  10. Alexei Ramirez (Silver Slugger at SS this season I hope)
  11. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Sep 17, 2010 -> 06:09 PM) I've been in the group that was hard on Paulie and Thome last year.. Paul Konerko is just amazing, he needs to stay. EDIT: Much respect to Mark Buehrle for retaliation (not sure who's call it was) and going back to the posts from the game thread where some said Mark should have gotten an out before throwing at them or pick Young.. while Young deserved to be beaned, you retaliate first chance you get and Mark did just that, THANK YOU. Yep!
  12. Nobody is going anywhere unless Donald Trump buys the Sox and says "you're all fired!"
  13. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 17, 2010 -> 06:18 PM) The title says "farm hands," not "prospects." Lilli is a farm hand trying to keep a MLB job. He probably gets treated like Getz did. Both did their roles well and got sent away. I think Lillibridge stays though as a reserve IF'er
  14. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 17, 2010 -> 05:36 AM) I voted Viciedo at first with Paulie leaving. I have a gut feeling he wants out of this madness. I would have voted Morel at third, but I'm convinced we'll be seeing Teahen there. I just sense that. I voted Sale as a starter, but I could see him being closer or closer by committee with Matt. Putz looks like he's run his course and I suspect Bobby is gone for sure as well. We need to save this thread. What madness? The Sox are a good team with good players and management that seem to all get along. I think you are letting your fristration show by thinking Paulie wants to leave the Sox because of some perceived turmoil within. I see Paul Knerko being resigned as the team 1Bman and he should be. Next year is a new year which makes baseball so great becasue you are all equal on day one
  15. Read KW's lips: Sale will be with the team as a starter in 2011
  16. KW and the Sox management better do everything they can to sign Paulie to another contract with the team. Failure to do so is tantamount to treason
  17. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Sep 17, 2010 -> 03:43 AM) I'm hoping Joquain Phoenix on Letterman provides much needed comic relief. From one train wreck to another . . . He was a farce also
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 17, 2010 -> 03:53 AM) As much as I admire the Padres effort this season, I'm happy I won't have to watch games from that boring stadium if they don't make it. Between the Twins and the Padres, I think I'd rather watch women's softball on ESPN. I like that
  19. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 16, 2010 -> 07:00 PM) Hopefully he's seen enough to know it was a bad idea. Or how much is enough? Maybe Kenny will trade him behind Ozzie's back. Kotsay is the new Mackowiak. Only fans get tired of seeing him. He can usually play pretty good 1B defense- not all the time mind you but usually
  20. Did the Twins sign Thome to a one year deal?
