  1. WGN-A will broadcast Sunday's game. Hope we get to see AJP and Konerko as reported. I think it would be a tremendous mistake not to bring these two back for 2011 and beyond, but goofier decisions have been made by the Sox front office.
  2. He doesn't appear to be on the top of the list to pitch this final weekend
  3. I think the problem this year has been a bullpen with no hyperBALL. Let's keep AJP and Konerko - Jenks is still up in the air for me- and maybe Putz. Improve the bullpen and make one good hitter the DH
  4. Interesting that we want Konerko back at the "right price." What is that price? Free? It's a business and it's a business to both the team ownership and the players. I hope Konerko is back and at whatever price the two sides can agree on. Last thing I want to see is a return to the zero budget days on the 70's when Bill Veeck had to beg, borrow and steal to put together a roster
  5. Let's not speculate. What happens will happen. Karma everyone Karma
  6. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 29, 2010 -> 08:37 PM) Why is Paulie out? Seems like he's missed a few games lately, and he's still marginally in the MVP discussion. Why bench him at all this last week? Let the guy play out what may be his last week with this team. I don't know about all that. Last night his opposite field double was sure a pretty piece of hitting
  7. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Sep 29, 2010 -> 05:23 AM) I disagree.....this team wins 110+ games next year the way its playing now. There's no way the Twins come even close to that number. I don't know about 110 games, but with a better bullpen and a full-time good DH we will compete with the Twins IMO. I do think we need to bring back AJP, Vizquel and Paul Konerko. I am still unsure about Manny Ramirez, but the players like him and that says a lot. If he was healthy all year he might produce 20-25 homers and hit .300 again and drive in runs
  8. Nice to get a win. The great thing about baseball is every game is a new one and there is always next year.
  9. He wants to finish the season helping the team - it's a pride thing so no problem I say
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 28, 2010 -> 02:36 AM) How deep was it? Gameday only but it loked to be at least warning track
  11. At least Morel knows how to lift the long fly with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs. 4-1 Bosox
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 28, 2010 -> 02:23 AM) Yep, he's definitely making more money than his performance dictates he deserves. I was confuzed about the hate post on Garcia when these same folks seem willing to ignore Buerhle's fall off. I am a big supporter and all that, but there is no way a big game pitcher can continue to give up doube digits in hits allowed in a game and win. Now we are at 9 hits allowed through 5 and its 4-0. He did come back good against Ortiz and Martinez
  13. I am really cocnerned about Buerhle and his drop off. 12-12 and in this game has given up 8 hits and not through 5 yet.
  14. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 09:49 PM) Ahhhhhh! Got it! I didn't get a chance to get my PTC. It is in the 5th inning now and if I can I'll go with Pierre as he has no hits yet and I don't want to cheat
  15. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 06:07 PM) Explain. What explanation? Garcia had a stiff back and missed a couple starts. Overall he has done as good as any other and when the rest of the staff was sucking earlier in the season Garcia was the one who saved us. He was the 5th starter and did better then most 5th starters in the league. Remember his last game he went 6 solid innings and gave up one run. He has a winning record. I am not sure who you are trying to compare Freddie Garcia too
