  1. For the love of God!?!?!?! Sounds like something that Sylvester Stallone had his brother do for one of his 80's movies.....
  2. I think it all depends on who's at the top of the order...and who STAYS there. Plus the other big question marks are of course Crede and Uribe IMO. Yeah...their dingers won the game today...but how long a drought will there be before the next big hit. Also...we cannot afford to experiment with Alexi for very long...
  3. There's a guy on the Rangers ESPN board (LarryLegend) that still to this day is b****ing and moaning about the Danks trade.... He went on to say: "Good news for the Rangers, though... I hear Brandon McCarthy might be ready to throw on flat ground in a month."
  4. Incredible job but Danks and the pen!!! And the two guys who've caught the most grief homer to win it....ahahahahaaaa We needed this one bad!
  5. QUOTE(dielac @ Apr 3, 2008 -> 12:02 PM) I hate to say this but Quintin kind of looks like Conseco. Yeah he does...
  6. Too many swings at balls out of the strike zone....UUUUGH!
  7. Looking forward to tomorrow's lineup....and it better include BA, CQ and Pablo.....
  8. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 2, 2008 -> 08:19 PM) Mac has 2 more outings to prove himself, otherwise he should be down in AAA with Wasserman back up. Has 1 player really decreased in stock as much as MacDougal has since the end of 2006? That's 1 more than I'd give him..
  9. QUOTE(lostfan @ Apr 2, 2008 -> 08:18 PM) Jesus. Like what? Dude....cynicism.
  10. I'm just curious as to how "short" the actual leash is gonna be with some of these guys with Ozzie.....
  11. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Apr 2, 2008 -> 08:11 PM) how is this guy still on this team Seriously....EVERY friggin time he steps on the hill. Terrible.
  12. QUOTE(Friend of Nordhagen @ Apr 2, 2008 -> 07:57 PM) What else is new? This is the Javier Vazquez experience -- no sack, nibbling, running up his pitch count. But, yeah, we have some real starting pitching depth. Oh please...
  13. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 2, 2008 -> 06:50 PM) Substitute Crede, Uribe, and Ramirez with Fields, Ramirez, and Anderson and I would feel so much better with our team. I think you're in a big club there.....
  14. Again...Javy having to put it on a tee. Geez-us.......
  15. Hafner looks like that bad dude from No Country for Old Men...... Nice pitch Javy....
  16. QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 1, 2008 -> 07:16 PM) As I said, they *both* have something to prove. BOTH. And it isn't, in my mind, which one is better. I would also like to see Fields approach Crede's lifetime BA for one season. That would "prove" something to *me*. If you have a lesser or different standard, that's cool. Use what you feel comfortable with. If my standard bothers you, sorry. Doesn't bother me whatsoever. I'm just comparing rookie stats for both and seeing difference in age/potential/longevity with team and of course $$$ spent. Bottom line is who would help this team the most right now. I guess it still remains to be seen after only one game. I'm hoping Josh's time down in AAA simply makes him "hungrier" when he does get back up.
  17. QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 1, 2008 -> 06:59 PM) Why would you want to debate my standard for when I think a player has proven their abilities? I think it takes more than one season. You disagree. OK. You have your standard and I have mine. I've watched too many one season wonders. Tex...I can appreciate both sides of the debate and for the record I'm a Fields guys now. I've always loved Joe and am thankful for everything he's done...but don't you think Joe is the one in the position of having to "prove" himself now coming off major back surgery and a problem that's hindered him the past 3 years or so?!?
  18. I'll say something else though...I was pretty happy with the philosophy at the plate today with many of the hitters and about taking the pitch the other way. Seems like Walker has tried to instill that this year.
