QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 8, 2011 -> 08:19 PM) Rios is so clueless up there. No chance on anything that's not inside. When is last time he hit a liner? The guy has to be my least favorite White Sox of all time...period.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 8, 2011 -> 08:15 PM) That is why Brent Morel is on this roster. MT wouldn't have had a chance on that one....

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 8, 2011 -> 07:38 PM) So did the ass have them at 1-5 after one? hahaaa...I'm sure he didn't (speaking of Debbie Downers...)

I hate to be Debbie Downer...but how many times has everybody seen this team have a big 1st inning and crap down their pant legs the rest of the game.

From "ALL IN" to ALL DUNN!!!!!!!
Personally I'd love to see him catch fire 10 days or so before the trading deadline...I mean go on an absolute tear!!!

Pet Peeves
Sitting next to people like TRU.... That and people who have absolutely no interest whatsoever in the game at all and flap their gums the whole time about inane crap (Phoenix Suns games are the worst for this).

What trade would you make
QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 8, 2011 -> 05:49 PM) I'd try to keep four or five good starters and Santos. Any other players are now tradeable in my mind. I wish I could trust Kenny to make the right trades. But try to keep an "on paper" solid pitching corps and trade any regulars you want, except we need a new hitting coach to go with the new lineup as well. I'd prefer hitters with some speed, but not slappies like Pierre. Only Paulie hits homers any more, so trade everybody you want, KW. Personally I'd like a whole new staff. I guess deep down inside I'd prefer to keep Ozzie if he wasn't so goddamn stubborn...but this entire staff...his "buddy system" is probably one of the most lifeless groups ever assembled. I'm not saying you need to be Rah-Rah or anything...but have you ever seen more lifeless personalities than Harold Baines, Greg Walker and Joey Corra? The team kinda reflects their personality as well. Just my 2¢. Sorry...not trying to hijack the thread into this direction at all. But I'd be all for getting rid of anybody not named Konerko (unless he wanted to) and build the staff.

What trade would you make
With all the Atlanta talk yesterday if ATL wanted to dump Lowe and needed a bat...that would get the ball rolling in other moves. We'd take Lowe...they take Rios. And like you said flavum...makes Jackson and Floyd available for some good spects. I just want Rios off this team...period. Pitchers are easier to peddle than underachieving outfielders. So in the end it we're stuck with Lowe's contract it's better than being stuck with Rios.

fire walker
QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Jul 6, 2011 -> 05:25 PM) I have always laughed my ass off at people who try to say coaches aren't at fault for anything and/or make no difference. It' a cop out and simply makes no sense. Agreed. I point at the DBags right now. Complete horsecrap roster IMO sans a few players...but they bust their butts and compete. Absolutely LOVE that coaching staff they have here. It's changing the mindset. The Chicago White Sox mindset the past 2-3-4 years has been terrible.

7/6; White Sox vs Royals; WGN
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 6, 2011 -> 03:06 PM) We have a league avg offense. And its still pathetic. How you could have a team that supposedly "underachieves" and you havent made any changes is beyond me. Most clubs that perceive they arent getting enough out of their team will : 1. Bring up their top prospect who has proven he can hit MLB pitching and is raking in the minors 2. Change SOMEONE on the coaching staff. MOST clubs...key word there. White Sox don't believe in shaking things up...or I should rephrase...Ozzie doesn't believe in throwing any of this buddies under the bus. Who effin' runs this team?!?

How Will Dayan progress in his MLB career?
Gee...who knows...but it sure as hell would be nice to find out for God sakes. The only Sox player I can ever remember who had the ball jump off their bat like that was Dick Allen.

Hair-Brained scheme idea for next year
The best possible "additions" we could add would be a few "subtractions" of some dead weight IMO...hard to do both at the same time. I kinda doubt we're "all in" next year. Of course it depends on the second half of this season...but we've been down this road before.
