13 turnovers is completely unacceptable for Indiana. That should have been their game total.

Some good calls now for the Pacers. Refs are not on notice for the time being.

Ref watch: every questionable call so far, to my eye, has gone the Heat's way. Sample size too small, for now. Not much being called either way

Dunn?
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 3, 2013 -> 07:19 PM) Didn't we argue he'd turned it around a month ago with his hot streak? That didn't exactly last. If Dunn gets a hit in a game or gets 1 BB in three ABs/2 BB in four ABs, I wait until the next game to say anything bad about him

2012-2013 NBA thread
This talk about shot attempts is bogus. The reason he they aren't getting attempts is because they are playing like s***. You can't just fabricate good shots out of thin air. They have to beat the defense for that. If Bosh and Wade are forcing up shots just to get to some magical quota tonight, they'll lose.

2012-2013 NBA thread
NBA will have mad credibility if Indiana wins this game and a hell of a storyline for all of next season if Indiana wins. So much more LeBron-related coverage with a Heat loss. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 3, 2013 -> 02:25 PM) And by that, you mean televising games on channels people don't watch or get? Word. My cable provider (Mediacom) doesn't offer NBCSN in HD in any of their plans. Just don't have it.

Roster Changes Coming?
Teams never look like they're trying if they aren't hitting. Also, AJ was often lazy on the field. You should watch him "run" out a ground ball or reminisce on all the back-handed passed balls last year. Being an asshole doesn't make you a winner. I love AJ, but he's not Christ reincarnate. Losing him has nothing to do with our struggles.

Early ChiSox Draft Ideas
Unclear if prescribed or not, but that stuff is all over the place in colleges. Not a big concern IMO, just one of many things to consider. He'll still go top 3.

6/3 - The Return of the Bacon Slayer
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 3, 2013 -> 06:14 PM) How many lefties in that stretch, one? Doesn't matter -- he has an easily correctable flaw going. He's just lunging out, getting his weight on his front foot as soon as he strides. He can't even stay behind a fastball with his weight shift like this

6/3 - The Return of the Bacon Slayer
QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 3, 2013 -> 06:14 PM) Dan Hayes @DanHayesCSN 35s Tyler Flowers said he was one of players who had meeting. Said it was about getting on same page, had overall positive tone. #whitesox https://twitter.com/DanHayesCSN Surprise surprise.... Hayes also said on his twitter that Flowers has reputation in clubhouse as one of hardest workers. Probably less of a punishment talk and more of a last vote of confidence. Not the "lack of enthusiasm" guy(s) that we're speculating about.

6/3 - The Return of the Bacon Slayer
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jun 3, 2013 -> 11:18 AM) The funny thing is, how in the world is it warranted? What has Beckham done to make Hawk this giddy about him? Cheese straws. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 3, 2013 -> 05:36 PM) De Aza 8, Ramirez 6, Rios 9, Konerko 3, Viciedo 7, Dunn DH, Keppinger 5, Flowers 2, Beckham 4. Dunn 6th is new. Makes sense to demote Dunn in order to move up Konerko. Wait...no it doesn't.

Roster Changes Coming?
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 3, 2013 -> 08:06 AM) It certainly isn't Dunn. Dunn is actually markedly better the more fly balls he hits

Early ChiSox Draft Ideas
QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Jun 2, 2013 -> 11:38 PM) I don't like any of the OFers they're considering. I'm not enamored either. Wilson from Stanford is probably the best of them, but I don't like him compared to the pitchers available.
