Can't wait till I can stream Netflix, Hulu, HBO Go, MLB.tv, etc. on my PS4 w/o paying a dime. I may then play games, not connect to the internet for days at a time, and fully enjoy them -- still without a subscription! Then...I can head to Gamestop and actually have a prayer of getting a used game for my console. Also -- won't the DRM kill game rentals?
  2. Jay Cutler does not suffer fools well
  3. Anyone notice how unexceptional Billy Hamilton is playing in AAA this year? .655 OPS, 40 SB. Has to be better than that especially after they moved him off of SS
  4. So many ways to rip on Bostonians that don't make us look like insensitive assholes
  5. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jun 14, 2013 -> 10:44 AM) Rick Santorum thinks the RNC botched the "You Didn't Build That" thing “One after another, they talked about the business they had built. But not a single—not a single —factory worker went out there,” Santorum said at the Faith & Freedom Coalition conference in Washington, as quoted by Politico. “Not a single janitor, waitress or person who worked in that company! We didn’t care about them. You know what? They built that company too! And we should have had them on that stage.” So in other words, they are supposed to completely agree with Obama and make his entire point for him. Moron. LOL I actually thought that comment would be far more damaging than it was. I agree with the sentiment, but it's usually hard to clarify something that sounds so awful on its face. The funny thing is that Santorum's idea might have worked. Obama's concept was so good that they probably could have stolen it and pretended it was theirs.
  6. As annoyed as I am with the Boston Strong bulls***, they had to have known better.
  7. Paul Ryan says Obamacare is "assault on religious freedom" and that he is part of political center Sometimes I really wonder if they buy this bulls***. Could he really say that stuff with a straight face if he wasn't truly a moron?
  8. IIRC, most of those guys had labrum injuries which was a death sentence back then. I believe that was the case for Rauch, Barcelo, Parque, Biddle. Can't recall the rest.

QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Jun 14, 2013 -> 12:40 AM) Striking out at an insanely alarming rate and batting under .200 is likely causing psychological damage though. In the blogger call, he did say it was hard to deal with at first but he had learned to overcome that from the encouragement of his coaches and teammates. Lots of "it's a long season" type of stuff. That encouragement sounds like lip service when you demote him less than 40 games into his season. I think it would have a tangibly negative effect. I don't think the talent difference is big enough for it to really matter. The problems are on his end, not the competition's. It is pretty clear that when it clicks, he has no problem dominating somebody. He just has to make it click more often and it might take some ugly games for a while. If he plays his 80th game and it's like this, go ahead and demote him.

I've enjoyed this season of Mad Men, but only with the understanding that we're really building towards some things. The and it seems like we aren't done with drama on that front. Likewise, .

The competitive difference between low A and high A doesn't make up for the likely psychological damage done by demoting a young guy 30-some games into his first full season of professional baseball.
  12. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 13, 2013 -> 10:31 PM) It's not like they've been sloppy, unforced turnovers. The Heat D has been incredible. Heat D plays a big role, but they have been VERY sloppy
  13. Another turnover
  14. SA has had lots of chances to win this, turnovers + Manu + Splitter = giveaway
  15. Go home Ginobli, you're drunk
  16. Coach Pop is going to have nightmares about the turnovers in this game. Holy hell
  17. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 13, 2013 -> 10:19 PM) Did I miss something? Did Tony Parker die? Thereee he is.

It's literally impossible to look at a guy and tell if he has a bad approach or bad pitch recognition. For the opposite example, I'm of the mind that Miguel Cabrera is not "the smartest hitter in baseball," as Hawk says. I think he's just so good that he doesn't need to be smart or have a good approach because he just sees everything perfectly. However, that is only my opinion because you can't tell the difference. Bad pitch recognition will make your approach look bad and vice versa. Lots of reasons to be optimistic with Hawkins and I think a demotion is a horrible idea.
  20. for Christ's sake can we get Parker back in the game?
  21. Come on Bosh, even Tyler Griffey knew better than that
  22. WHAT A FLOP JESUS CHRIST
  23. James felt that a bad call was made. LOL
  24. If Dwyane wants to play post defense, you need to take it to him until he gets in foul trouble.
  25. Tom Scocca ‏@tomscocca 24s Miami's team photo is going to be a composite poster of every single Heat player swatting Tiago Splitter's shot.
