  1. I can't believe warnings would have been issued beforehand since there had been no jawing or anything. I also don't know how retaliating could have crossed our minds had warnings been issued.
  2. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 30, 2012 -> 01:23 PM) Well s***.... POTY
  3. I'm not even convinced that it was intentional. Maybe, but I figured AJ knew why he got hit. I'm astonished at what the umpire did. My heart's breaking for Q
  4. Wow, that is the worst call I've ever seen. Really.
  5. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 30, 2012 -> 01:14 PM) Taking pitchers out of their routines is a recipe for disaster. It would require some very good planning, for sure. Have to wonder what kind of benefits there may be in having select starters miss every 3rd/4th start or something to keep the arms fresh.
  6. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 30, 2012 -> 01:13 PM) Morel when healthy is better defensively at 3B than Hudson and the ODog isn't exactly tearing the cover off the ball. If Morel is healthy, IMO he's better than Hudson. If he's like he's been, he's not. At this point, I'd say that 2012 Orlando Hudson > 2011 Brent Morel
  7. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ May 30, 2012 -> 01:12 PM) When Danks comes back shouldn't we CONSIDER a 6 man rotation if Quintana can keep this up? He looks really comfortable out there.... This would limit the innings on Peavy/Sale/Etc, not to mention continue to give this guy a chance if Humber continues to disappoint (outside of yesterday's outing) I was thinking we could give some of our guys periodic rests with Quintana getting some long relief innings to stay sharp. Instead of a 6 man rotation, use Q to give rests to guys as they need it/as innings pile up
  8. I've never seen a power hitter less interested in/able to hit inside pitches than Adam Dunn
  9. Pretty wishful thinking there Hawk
  10. The difference between that play and O-Dog's was that O-Dog had the benefit of a hop to keep him from beginning his throw with his hand at ground level.
  11. Good play! Thanks for that hop, turf
  12. Quintana showing that bulldoginess > heart
  13. Quintana is our good luck charm. That innocent face in the dugout is the key to our winning streak
  14. Anyways, offense redeeming itself here.
  15. QUOTE (ScottyDo @ May 30, 2012 -> 12:54 PM) That really seemed intentional, yeah. Not sure why, but it is A.J., after all. AJ spiked Zobrist very hard at second yesterday on a play where it turned out there would be no throw to first anyway
  16. DV taking one out of PK's book
  17. That was really the perfect time for them to get back at him for yesterday. First base open with a GIDP machine coming up
  18. That was for yesterday.
  19. I like the hot hitting version of Rios.
  20. PK continuing to look hopeless against changeups
  21. On the bright side, Q doesn't seem to get rattled by anything. Keeps attacking...he must not know how unimpressive his stuff is
  22. When you pound guys with fastballs every single batter on the outside part of the plate....the one that misses a couple inches over the plate gets hit really hard.
  23. Why does Cobb suck? Are we saying this because of his weird repertoire or does he not have much of a track record?
  24. That went really far for just a flick of the wrist, lol Tough inning...ADA hit the ball hard, Gordon really failed us, Dunn not a bad AB but fly ball doesn't do anything for us with 2 outs
  25. That changeup is going to be tough for lefties to hit
