  1. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 7, 2012 -> 01:21 PM) He has the Sox only RBI? I want Brent to hit.
  2. QUOTE (Jake @ May 7, 2012 -> 01:21 PM) I don't know if that's the baseball that hurt him Okay, he looks okay. I was afraid he hurt himself sliding.
  3. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 7, 2012 -> 01:19 PM) De Aza is showing his performance last season was no fluke. He's a pretty good hitter. Fire Kenny!
  4. I like the aggressive turn, drawing a throw from Choo. And Choo shows how he never misses, lol
  5. If Gordon is going to take the outside fastball the other way with authority, there may still be hope. This is what I haven't seen from him, this is great.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ May 7, 2012 -> 01:12 PM) Yep, I like Humber, but he's been really bad outside of the perfect game. He's pitched well with RISP in most games...if not, his ERA could be in Danks territory. At least two of these games in non-ideal weather...have to wonder if the Texas kid just doesn't like bad weather. The last cold weather game looked a lot like a guy pitching with cold hands, as he couldn't get his curve over. The curve is the worst to throw when you can't feel your fingers just right.
  7. Here's hoping Humber can keep them at bay from here on out!
  8. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 7, 2012 -> 01:10 PM) Something like 15 runs given up now by Humber in his last 12 IP. All that work to get 2 outs. Thanks for that throw Alexei! Game in danger of getting out of hand here in just the 2nd, and a long long way to go for the bullpen. Indians have more 2 out RBI's this season than RBI's or with 0 or 1 outs. Humber taking forever and running up his pitch count already to nearly 40. We might getting to know Jose Quintana here soon.
  9. QUOTE (jeffro2525 @ May 7, 2012 -> 01:09 PM) Humber is the one that put the Indians in this rhythm. Hitting is contagious. And usually the changeup is the fix for a hot hitting lineup...just bad luck I suppose, good thing Coop talked to him to clear his head. That s*** always bothers pitchers, when they make a good pitch and get hit.
  10. Not a bad play by Paulie, but his defense seems to be declining in front of our very eyes
  11. I don't know wtf you're supposed to do when you throw a right handed changeup on the outside corner to a lefty and he ropes it for a single. Just shrug your shoulders I guess, lol
  12. I'm going to pretend that was a wet ball. Also, Paulie looks completely unable to move on that bag.
  13. This is looking pretty s***ty right now. I feel bad for Phil.
  14. Dunn can have a 162 game strikeout streak if he wants to keep pace to 50 dingers, I don't give a s***
  15. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 7, 2012 -> 10:28 AM) I readPhil Rogers today where he repeats the question already being asked and that is how Sale adnb Thornton can co-exist in the pen for an extended period of time. I add Santiago in that mix. My thought in you can never have enough quality lefties and maybe they need to look at sending Santiago to AAA. That is in no way an admission of failure but simply an acknowledgment that this inexperienced rookie needs to work out some kinks and gain some confidence in his pitches again. I know the trade of Thornton is a big possibility but what happens if Sale ends up on the DL because of that elbow issue? The real question is this -- does it matter what hand Hector throws with if he gets shelled by both left and right handed hitters? I think the handedness of the pitcher only matters if he can get some type of hitter out.
  16. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 7, 2012 -> 10:31 AM) Ready for big screen baseball this morning I really just wanna watch a bunch of baseball today, please don't be cancelled
  17. QUOTE (Tex @ May 7, 2012 -> 07:28 AM) This That Just remember, the White Sox have a much stronger interest in having Sale be a starter than any of us do. I doubt this was purely a whim.
  18. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 7, 2012 -> 09:05 AM) Like Gavin's curveball, Humber's curveball, you'd have to also think getting the right feel for the screwball is something that would be easier to develop over the course of a 2 hour start rather than 10-12 warm-up pitches and then, BOOM, you're in a make or break situation where every single pitch means the difference between a win or loss. Not exactly the greatest idea in the world to throw someone into the fire and out of the frying pan in such a confidence-shattering way when it's not even necessary at this point to keep bruising his psyche. (Yeah, yeah, he should be stronger, he's a professional athlete, I get that, but when he's given up a lot more homers in less than 10 innings than most relievers give up in entire seasons or two, you probably take take an alternative corrective course of action). Lots of guys have no problems going to the bullpen (see Sale, Chris) so the theory of Santiago as reliever doesn't seem bad. He just clearly wasn't ready for it and it was probably for more than one reason.
  19. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 7, 2012 -> 08:57 AM) Can't accept the logic that the screwball actually gets better action in Arizona dry, desert weather? Different baseballs used in ST compared to the regular season? That whole "seams aren't raised quite as high" theory for getting a proper grip on the pitch? Maybe he has a smaller hand for gripping it than most pitchers? I think it's probably an experience issue. It worked for quite a while, but the pitch is hardly a year old for his arsenal. Much more susceptible to coming and going. Again, have to wonder if the spontaneous, short warm-up that he's not used to is to blame. In ST, you could warm up all day because you knew which inning you were pitching. This is a situation when the White Sox need to see every single side session, etc. to see if he's got his stuff. You can't just keep throwing a rookie out there in hopes that he figured it out while your back was turned.
  20. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 7, 2012 -> 08:42 AM) This should make JPN happy. From Gonzo's Mailbag... Still doesn't justify it taking this long, but, sounds like KW2 may be out of the way sooner than later. At least KW Jr. is supposed to be a top notch athlete -- I don't think Oney Guillen could say as much...
  21. QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ May 7, 2012 -> 08:02 AM) Shouldn't she know what team he's on? STALKER FAIL my thoughts exactly
  22. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 7, 2012 -> 08:49 AM) That's 100% not true. I've had a mole surgically removed on the spot at a dermatologist. I went to the gynecologist and had my fetus removed on the spot Dr. Quik's Speedy Abortion Service! they'll get all the business, no one likes that pesky wait
  23. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 7, 2012 -> 08:45 AM) ADA cf Brent L. 3b Dunn dh PK 1b AJP c Rios rf Alexei SS Kosuke lf Beckham 2b Is this the end of Morel the 3B?
