...let it be known I wanted Duque out before this inning. Now, the pitch count soars and we have runners on. Ugh. -

QUOTE(sox-r-us @ May 11, 2005 -> 02:15 PM) Honest question: Why can't a 1B play the 3B position? After all they do play that position against the left handed hitter .... My logic is if we could send Paulie to 3B, then we can have Frank play 1B and Carl as DH and send Crede's ass to the bench only to play late in games as defensive replacement for Frank (Crede goes to 3B and Paulie moves back to 1B) Just a thought.... My, my...where to begin? I better stay away from this one, I advise you all do the same. It can't be good for your collective blood pressure. -

QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ May 11, 2005 -> 01:05 PM) There comes a time where you weigh the pros and cons of a role player on your team....Timo's cons definitely outweigh the pros. Like someone already said..he makes 1 or 2 mistakes every game he is in...that just make you cringe. Get rid of him... $1M says no one wants him. -

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 11, 2005 -> 01:04 PM) Is there any reason why Timo should be kept over Gload or Harris? One good reason? ...I could think of one million. -

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 11, 2005 -> 12:54 PM) I can see why Brazelton is a top prospect, he has a ton of movement on his pitches... but he has no control yet. You got that right, I this guy. People have been calling him a future ace since his collegiate career. He just can't get his control, otherwise, I'd think he'd be awfully dangerous. Perhaps he was rushed to the show in the Rays shallow roster? -

As much as we give both Timo and Pablo a hard time, these two guys really do a nice job of screwing with the pitcher once on the basepaths. Timo did it constantly last season and I've seen Pablo do it more than once already this season. I like that. -

Well, Iguchi's on. Let's get him in. ...something tells me we're going to be scrapping for runs today. -

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 11, 2005 -> 11:26 AM) Here are the lineups for todays game. YUCK YUCK YUCK Ozzie what are you doing? Timo our very slow RF is leading off. I would rather have Pablo lead off. Dye is DHing. We may score 1 run today. Chicago White Sox Tampa Bay 1 Timo Perez, RF Alex Sanchez, DH 2 Tadahito Iguchi, 2B Nick Green, 2B 3 Aaron Rowand, CF Carl Crawford, LF 4 Paul Konerko, 1B Aubrey Huff, 1B 5 Jermaine Dye, DH Damon Hollins, CF 6 A.J. Pierzynski, C Jorge Cantu, 3B 7 Juan Uribe, SS Chris Singleton, RF 8 Joe Crede, 3B Charles Johnson, C 9 Pablo Ozuna, LF Alex S. Gonzalez, SS Damnit Ozzie. :headshake Don't like it one bit. -
Meh. They said it was a "nice test" for US security and things went according to plan. I suppose there is a silver lining. I'm just happy we didn't shoot some schumck down over the White House lawn.
-
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 11, 2005 -> 10:44 AM) As opposed to it plowing into Congress and killing off an entire branch of our government? Its not a happy choice, but it is the only choice if it comes to that. Get out!? That said, wanting to shoot down a single-engine Cesna because some greenhorn doesn't know what he's doing? Yikes.
-
QUOTE(Steff @ May 11, 2005 -> 10:40 AM) CNN claims they didn't know if the Prez was evacuated.. ABC claims he isn't even in Washington.. :banghead MSNBC reports he was out on a bike ride in the surrounding suburbs when it happened and was then rushed to an underground bunker. The VP was escorted out of the area with his motorcade.
-
Oh my goodness. DC has anti-air craft guns and were prepared to use them if necessary; say, if this plane was supposed to go down in a crowded area.
-
:banghead :banghead I'm out.
-
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 11, 2005 -> 10:25 AM) Have they shown the actual plane yet? I just heard it was a Cesna prop plane that did this entirely on accident.

You don't "buy" the arbitration "arguement" huh? You do understand how arbitration works do you not?
