  1. Ball game. Streak ends at 8. We'll go for the series win tomorrow. No sweep.
  2. This one goes out to you movie experts: If you haven't seen Ocean's Twelve, don't read on. I was wondering if you guys could help track down the song played when The Nightfox "works" his way through the laser-field in the museum. Much to my chagrin, it's not on the soundtrack and I'm completely clueless. Thanks in advance.
  3. Jet lag perhaps? Put this one behind ya, and worry about tomorrow. Can't win em' all.
  4. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 9, 2005 -> 07:15 PM) Who? I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest he implied Lance Carter, the current Devil Rays pitcher on the mound. Was it that tough to decipher or were you just being difficult?
  5. Well, we have to do something to shake Nomo out of his groove, he's settling in and Freddy seems to be letting the Rays back in. Time to shut things down.
  6. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 9, 2005 -> 06:28 PM) renee zellweger married kenny chesney? She thought his tractor was sexy
  7. What's the answer to this Aflac question, Rocco Baldelli?
  8. Jeez Carl. He's all turned around. So turned around, in fact, he walked towards the wrong dugout.
  9. I'm just in love with a Pods-Iguchi lineup. It's a beautiful, beautiful thing.
  10. I just have to speak, for a moment, to Podsednik's patience at the plate. By taking a few pitches to leadoff the ballgame, he not only puts himself in a better situation to get on base, but also lets his teammates see a few pitches. I'm just thrilled with what our #1 and #2 hitters have done on the year and it's been such a relief to see the top of the order setting the table and doing the things they should be doing.
  11. QUOTE(El Piervizdyeguchansodnik @ May 9, 2005 -> 05:31 PM) Robin is dead quiet. Please give me Donn Pall back. Wow. Famine or pestilence?
  12. I'm happy with the K, but even happier Iguchi got that ball in.
  13. Stupid mistake by Carl. Jeez. We make a TON of outs on the basepaths.
  14. How about those small-balling White Sox? That's why you're 24-7. That brought a tear to my eye.
  15. QUOTE(marsh @ May 9, 2005 -> 04:19 PM) Chapstick:Vanilla Mint flavor I feel like a crack head in need of a fix if I don't have any. All the men in my family, including myself, can't leave the house without Carmex. We are really thinking about getting some help. It's bad. Seriously, it's bad.
  16. QUOTE(JimH @ May 9, 2005 -> 04:23 PM) That doesn't look like us at all, quickman has bigger tits.
  17. Uh-oh, five consecutive posts. Here's a little something I made for just this sort of occaision.
  18. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 9, 2005 -> 04:07 PM) I can't wait to catch part of this game (until I go to my night class). I just want to hear Robin in the booth. Break out the pillows and footy-pajamas, it's gonna be a barn-burner with those two in the booth. :sleep
  19. Is it: Most Dominating Player, or Most Valuable Player? Discuss.
  20. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 9, 2005 -> 03:33 PM) Addy you've got to quit being so level headed. If you're not in line for World Series tickets now, you're not going to be able to get them. Bingo.
  21. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 9, 2005 -> 03:31 PM) It's wrong to go on a show and make the claim that no one is hitting over .300 without actually looking it up. That is bad. So sue him. Stat-Boy agreed with him, should be blast him as well? It's a goofy, entertaining national show. If they spewed out a bunch of stats, folks would tune out. This is all just MHO, but, not a big deal.
  22. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 9, 2005 -> 03:26 PM) Yep, Woody was valid when he said we had no .300 hitters. Only one of our everday players has an average above .300 and he's a rookie from Japan named Tadahito Iguchi. These guys are national sports guys, you can't possibly expect them to know the intricacies of the ballclub. If that was Mariotti giving that arguement, I'd say you can go ahead and blast him, but it was a proclaimed goof from New York. He gets a pass in my book. If I'm a out-of-towner I see one guy hitting over .300 and Jon Garland leading an already impressive staff, I'd be a little cautious as well.
  23. I think some of you were waiting for those foul to droul over the team and hand us the pennant. There is a long, long way to go gents. They really all had vaild arguements. Time will tell on this one, we aren't the Yankees of the mid-90s though, I assure you.
