  1. New posters and old posters alike...everyone wants to be a part of the ride. I haven't seen this many new faces or the return of old faces since my conversion last fall.
  2. As a corollary, Jenks has allowed one earned run and struck out 13 in his last 13 appearences. He is tied for the Southern League lead in saves with eight. Thinking ahead, will Jenks have a spot in the pen of 06'? If Shingo is gone like many of us expect, I think that opens up a slot for a flame-throwing set-up/closer type in Jenks. What do you minor league-hounds think?
  3. Go get em'. 3 of 4 with the O's would be fanfreakingtastic. 4 of 4 would be even better.
  4. ...it's not the size of the sig that matters; it's how you use it.

This sort of thing deserves a pin. I look forward to it every year, that is, as forward as you can be towards senseless deaths. You know what I'm talking about.
  6. QUOTE(ptatc @ May 13, 2005 -> 01:41 PM) Ozzie tore his ACL and needed surgery. On a side note: His injury was somewhat of a test case. Previous to his injury, surgery was done for this as soon as possible with the theory being it would heal better and faster. Just before his case a new theory of letting the swelling go down before doing surgery was becoming popular. The Sox surgeons at the time decided to try this and having the swelling go down first. The medi kept asking when is the surgery going to happen. While not earth shattering his was one of the first high profile athletes in the area to change the way ACL rehab was done. Just though I would throw that out there (everyone can wake up the lecture is over) That's a cool tidbit.
  7. QUOTE(orangekrush88 @ May 13, 2005 -> 01:39 PM) How is the weather looking? I am assuming that we will be playing into the late hours if we have to. Anyways, Mark will go get them tonight and extend it to 3 games The game I was supposed to ump at Jeff Park just got rained out. Let's hope that's not the same fate for the big boys playing on the Southside.
  8. Tim Raines, 1992, we just dug it up. EDIT: I was still a tike, but I remember that being a pretty horrific collision. Much like the Zaun incident, everyone held their collective breath, except, this time it was our scrappy shortstop on our home turf and as you've stated SS, Guillen missed the rest of the season.
  9. QUOTE(ptatc @ May 13, 2005 -> 01:26 PM) A true Cub fan No need for green. That's histarical. I nearly spilled my water all over the keyboard.
  10. The other day, my pop and I were talking about the old "new" Comisky stadiums with the tunnel bullpens, huge blue batters-eye, etc. when we got to talking about some of the games we saw there. One game, which stood out, from the mid-90s was the game in which our belov'ed manager collided with the left-fielder when running out to field a pop-fly. Do you guys remember this game? I think he resulted in Ozzie being carted off the field. Was the left-fielder Rock Raines? All we remember was that it was probably the single worst collision we've seen first hand at a ball game. Thanks for the help; you guys are on the clock.
  11. Does anyone else think Roberts and Soriano should be the second-baseman respresentatives before Iguchi anyway?
  12. AddisonStSox replied to a post in a topic in Pale Hose Talk
Yeah, I've noticed...and I'm all broken up about it.
  13. Keep on rolling! Get em' Mark!
  14. I luuuvvvv the White Sox. ...that's all I got.
  15. Woa. Best of luck Dave! Hurry back!
  16. QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ May 11, 2005 -> 03:41 PM) Ozuna and Timo= Need to play more. Woa...woa...woa...although I love your avatar, I'm not letting you get away that easy. Please, explain this one.
  17. QUOTE(Steff @ May 11, 2005 -> 04:01 PM) A lot of "f***ing stupid" things around here lately.. :rolly Thanks for the updates guys. Perfect.
  18. QUOTE(mreye @ May 11, 2005 -> 03:46 PM) I hate the term "die-hard". It's too loosely used these days. Every caller on the radio: "I'm a die-hard (Insert team name here) fan and ... :puke Thank god. I'm not the only one. I was feeling far too elitist.
  19. ...when you tattooed "Sox" on your forehead. What the hell where you thinking?
  20. O's score another run 6-4!!
  21. QUOTE(ottawa_sox @ May 11, 2005 -> 03:31 PM) 5-4 Orioles. Runners on the corners with nobody out in the 8th. No s***!? Ye-Ha!!! Go O's Go!
  22. I'd argue if you have to ask yourself if you are a diehard fan, you're probably not. EDIT: By the way, I don't even like this team. Never have. Never will.
  23. Root like hell for the O's today, and then root against them for four consecutive games. Nice road trip.
  24. For those that bashed Cliff's $1 million signing this off-season, where do you stand now?
  25. Shut it down Cliff. Damnit, another mishandled inning.
