around the horn
I felt they all made valid points except for, you guessed it, Mariotti. I would have listened to him more closely if he hadn't played the weak schedule card. How could be possibly play that card, knowing full well the Sox are the reason some of those teams have such poor records. I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt, but he was way off the mark with that arguement.

what should we do about Frank Thomas
Whichever it is, it can't come fast enough. I can't handle these types of threads anymore.

what are the best starts in MLB history?
This begs the question: What constitues a start? Does this "start" extend to the All-Star break? Does it end after a set amount of games, wins, or losses? At what point does a "start" turn into a regular season record? ...I suppose that's more than one question.

Baj ERA Watch
QUOTE(T R U @ May 9, 2005 -> 10:25 AM) Yeah, Baj was great with us when he was called up last season Until he shows anything even close to being decent on the ML level I am not getting my hopes up on a minor league ERA I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I actually agree with you. He's looked like A-ball fodder to me. If there's a taker, trade him and get something of value.

Resume help
QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ May 9, 2005 -> 09:43 AM) Is there anyone that is good at resumes and would be willing to look mine over and let me know what I could do to brush it up some?? Hey Jester, My cousin runs Carrer Logix, a company that specializes in exactly this sort of thing. It's family run and they are doing quite well. Maybe you'd like to look them up. As of now, they operate out of Naperville, but are very easy and curtious to deal with over the phone or via email. Here are some of their sites and such, please PM me if you have any other questions. http://www.careerlogix.com/ Yahoo Job Profile Great Contact Info

QUOTE(elrockinMT @ May 8, 2005 -> 12:32 PM) It's totally amazing when ou think that ERA wise that Mark is our worse starting pitcher. Just think we he gets zeroed in again just how much better we will be. That has got to be scary to these other teams. ...just as scary as Dye, Everett, Rowand, Konerko, AND Frank clicking on all cylinders.
