Farnsworth to Tigers
QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Feb 9, 2005 -> 11:27 AM) Levine is saying the Scrubs are going to use the 2 million they saved in this deal and those players and get Dotel from Oakland..... This makes more sense. I know he has been targeting this guy for awhile now. But, he's sorely mistaken if he thinks he's aquiring a closer. A closer, Dotel is not.

Farnsworth to Tigers
QUOTE(thomsonmi @ Feb 9, 2005 -> 11:52 AM) Call me crazy but an ALCentral rival acquisition seems to have something to do with the Pale Hose. Crazy.

Farnsworth to Tigers
QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Feb 9, 2005 -> 11:23 AM) The Scrubs traded Farnsworth to the Tigers for 3 young players.... Wow. What the hell is Hendry doing this off-season? His bullpen is already in shambles. He must have wanted Farns out in a major way.

WNBA Coming to Chicago
At some point, it would have been very easy to take a stab at the Bulls here. It just doesn't apply anymore. Go Cows!!!

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 08:08 PM) There's a saying in baseball that goes...... Don't think. It can only hurt the ballclub! I'd say it applies here too. LOL "Lesson number one: Don't think; it can only hurt the ball club." - Crash Davis in Bull Durham

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 08:05 PM) A model of consistency........ lol Hey, Hey now, I never said I "thought" we were going to lose. I dreamt it. I "thought" we were going to win by a landslide. I was mistaken.

Champaign breathes its collective exhale. Ugly Win. That's two ugly wins in a row. I'm not liking this current trend; we've set season lows in points, in two consecutive games now. They have to pick it up. You can't turn it on and off in the Big Ten. Season ain't over yet. W On the other hand, and then there was one. The only undefeated team in the land.

Opening Day vs. Cleveland 4-4-05
Don't you have other hobbies? Posting on an opposing team's message board screams pimply-faced, Dungeons and Dragons kid to me.

Arby's glove
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 01:40 PM) Isn't a Michael Jackson reference appropriate in a thread about creepy cartoon character pitchmen? He's even more appropriate when discussing single, white gloves.

Opening Day vs. Cleveland 4-4-05
QUOTE(YoungstownIndians @ Feb 7, 2005 -> 08:52 PM) Your pen sucked. Just not as bad as ours. You guys blew leads against us, cough9-0cough; Matt Lawton to center, and you did the same to us. Those back to back extra inning victories on JOSE JIMENEZ. With HOWRY-WICKMAN 3 BLOWN SAVES BEFORE 22 So we DEFINATELY Improved. Again, can you tell me about our pen? That answer doesn't suffice. Can you please shed some light on the pen of 2005? Once again, I'm all ears.

Opening Day vs. Cleveland 4-4-05
QUOTE(YoungstownIndians @ Feb 7, 2005 -> 08:49 PM) Man whatever. I never said our pen was sweet or even good. I said we were okay and a hell of a lot better than the first half of last season. I won't start on your pen? Actually. I encourage it. Please. Please start on our pen. I'm all ears.

Opening Day vs. Cleveland 4-4-05
I just checked in on this thread and saw the poll. I almost shat myself. As for the Indians being a better team than the White Sox, Jake Westbrook, Cliff Lee, and Scott Elarton say different. Oh, and don't forget about the other boys in the band..."Hard Throwing" Cliff Bartosh, Rafeal "The Intimidator" Betancourt, "Mean" Bob Howry, Arthur "1-2-3 Inning" Rhodes, and Bob "The Beast" Wickman. Not scared? Yeah, me neither. :headshake

Jason Grilli
If the handeling of Jamie Burke is any indication of how Kenny treats his favorable minor league talent, you'd have to think Grilli would at least be offered a minor league deal. Kenny's a big fan of Jason, the person. (and unfortunately, last year he was a fan of Jason, the major league pitcher...hopefully those days are behind us)

Here's a touch of class. http://www.tvacres.com/admascots_koolaid.htm I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one in this fight against said oven mit. He must be stopped.

Arby's glove
QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Feb 7, 2005 -> 06:15 PM) At least he doesn't bust down walls like some mascots that certain people love. Now, that's just blasphemous. Best. Corporate Logo. Ever.

Braylon Edwards
You can't lose with either Edwards or Williams. Personally, I'd go the Williams route. He has "big play" ability. I think he brings a T.O. type impact to the table week in and week out. He's huge, he can overpower his defenders, he can out jump his defenders, and he's a horse. If I'm Angelo, Williams is off the board at pick no. 4. When combines roll around, people will remember why Williams is one of the top 3 players in the draft. He'll be a star for years to come.
