he doesn't drop it but all it take is once. It takes no more effort to raise your other hand. It's just crappy style he's going for. Now I'm riled up! -

He's a passable outfielder for a few innings. Not ideal, but passable. He plays none particualry well but can play all three which is nice. Frank will be back soon in the grand scheme of things. Just a month or so away -

With a lefty and a SH behind him, I would have brought Marte in once the lefties started up. I know Ozzie wanted to go 7 full but you gotta play the numbers sometimes. ose was over 100 and it was Marte time. NOt a move bad enough to rake Ozzie over the coals for but it was probably , as Dickie J would have said " a less good decision" -

Only 4 walks for the Count? I'm having an acid flashback to 2004 -
It has to be Carl. We can't bench our leadoff hitter and you would think that Row would start hitting like lasst year or nearly at that level sometime soon. If he doesn't then I think you compare Everett and Rowand and pick the llesser performer. Thanks to his arm in right and his contract-I don't see Dye not playing. All things considered, these things usually work themselves out through injuries. They will probably be in a rotation of sorts but I think Frank is the most likely to play everyday.

COUNT CONTRERAS! Just excited about tonight even though it's not going to be available in Carbondale. I hope Jose goes 8 tonight. I do worry that he's been a little TOO good against the Tribe and that he comes back to earth tonight. Plus, two great starts in a row will send this place into a frenzy. Forget the preseason predictions and hyperbole: It's not Judith or Crede or Frank that holds our season. It's good years from The Duke and the Count. Forget numbers there too. It;s about health and some semblance of consistency. If there ERA's are 5.00, I don't even care. Just as long as they make starts and keep us in the games like they have through their first two appearances. Obviously, they can't be as good as they have been so far because they've been Bob Gibson in 68 good. Still, we just need a solid 60 starts or so. LEt's go get them Count! -

Me? I actually saw them a lot but I watch more baseball than your average fan. In fact, I probably saw 7-0 of Peavy's starts. He's exceptional. -
It asked what NL pitcher you would build your staff around. I can't recall exactly but I believe it was Sheets, Peavy, Hudson, Prior, Schmidt, or other. Peavy finished in dead last. When are suckas gonna know? He's 23 and led the league in era. I'm a big Schmidt guy but he's 30. SHeets has only had one year even above average although I like him. Hudson and Prior have had real injury issues. My verdict is that I'd start my staff around peavy out of that group. If it were the AL, unfortunately I'd have to go with the guy in the dome and I don't mean Carlos Silva

Piniero pushed up against Sox
Punch and Judy Garland replied to Punch and Judy Garland's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Yeha they bumped him only one day back due to elbow stiffness. It wouldn't surprise if he is a scratch though. WHo was the young guy we hammered last year, Nageotte or Blackley? I wonder who their spot starter would be now -
I will say this though about the lots. If you scoot out of there after the 9th you can usually make great time. Now if it's a weekday aytime game going home on 55 is another story.......
-
Well they better win the damn division this year or we are paying more for less!

Is this the second straight year of bumping parking a dollar? I think it was 15 in 03, 16 in 04 and now 17? These guys increase prices more than the damn post office

Not sure what the original schedule was but with Meche a little sore, we get Joel on Friday. He's a great talent but has kind of had Kip Wells disease lately with injuries and ineffectiveness thanks to a lack of consistent health. What does this mean? In 01, Joel went 7 innings with only 1 ER, but in 03 and 04 he went 6 iinings-3er, and 7 innings-6 er respectively. Hopefully we continue the recent trend. I'd imagine that Pineiro is limited to at most 5 innings.

And ripping a guy when he hasn't made a mistake is bad, even for around here
