Ah the smear campaigns continue. I realize htis is Cowley and not the Sox but will the Sox writers, organization and fans just get over it? What year is it? I thought it was 2005 but you wouldn't know it by what you read.

So far so good on AJ, and I've been vocally against him. No cpmplaints right now. Let's pull it back a little on him though until we see a greater body of work. I think some want him to get the new pope job. After a few months, we'll know what we have and if things keep up-I'll get a chance to admit I was wrong

Apparently Billy Koch is so bitter about his release from Toronto that he bought a seat behind the Blue Jay dugout and is decked out in D-Rays gear with a foam finger. I wish I was making this up

I think Jeff Kent playing second base will add about .50 to Lowe's era. If they still had Cora I'd feel a whole lot better about his chances for a bounceback year. This good outing might not look good a month from now depending on the Giants offensive production from here on out.

Kirk Hinrich is prrof that you don't have to be a true point guad to play it in the nba. I think Deron Williams will be a very good pro. I also feel that Head will be a nice contributor for a contending team

I agree that you can make comebacks without homers but only small ones. You can't Ozzie Ball your way from 8-0 down. The solution I guess is to try not to fall down 8 runs

I am not much for the no power Lee. He was hitting like Lyle Mouton at that point. I prefer to see the 300-30-100 Lee. Not that it matters much these days

It's nto really fair to categorize Lee as a homer happy guy considering that by the end of his long hitting streak, he only had 4 hoemrs and it's not like he was hitting 218

I don't know about that aboz. I don't think that is a fair portrayal of Maggs ORdonez as a hitter/ Also, Valentin did go from the heart and soul of the team to being a questionable guy just by leaving. SOme of these writers are worse than ex-girlfriends

I concur that Nitraine is a moron. Anyways. this is as unforgettable team as you are going to have in your life. It's kind of like the 2000 Sox team where even though you don't win it all, you wouldn't trade the memories for anything.

You have to remember though that Iggy's numbers are cramped by being on a team with a guy that takes up such a high percentage of a teams shots. Mosts rookies don't have Allen Iverson to play with. Iguadala is earning the right to take more shots.

I thought it was idiotic to build your backcourt with two tweener guards. I can't recall that ever working but it looks like it might here.

It looks like Telfair might actually work out, at least those are the early results. I still think Shaun will be great though

no, that's a fair point. But I think independantly of Iggy that Deng is not a very good player. There is some bias there since he was a guy I said they shouldn't pick-but I also haven't been impressed with his care of the basketball the most. I find other areas of his game to not be anything more than fair. Just my opinion.
