Who do you want up in the bottom of the 9th?
Punch and Judy Garland replied to greasywheels121's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I picked the Hurt. I wouldn't mind Timo perez surprisingly after his clutch hits off K-Rod and Benitez but Uribe also has been a guy who has had some big hits. Uribe and Paulie are good sac fly guys for certain. I have the most Frank in Frank at getting that count in his favor to get a fastball he can do something with. -
Ozzie vs. Frank, round one?

ROawnd vs. Frank THomas. Not even close. It's numebr #35-no offense to aaron -
I've never seen anything like I saw in 03. This city was consumed by the Cubs, even in the NLDS. Life didn't stop during the 2000 playoffs like it did for the Cubs. It's just not gonna happen, but who cares anymore?

Did Frank hit 220 last year? Try not to be such an idiot if you can help it -
Ozzie vs. Frank, round one?
Punch and Judy Garland replied to Al Lopez Ghost (old)'s topic in Pale Hose Talk
the pereption of Frank is much darker than the reality. So what if he is a bit if a diva? Pedro Martinez is and that doesn't make you a bad guy. I think with Frank you just give him some props to soothe his ego and he's fine. DOes Ozzie want to talk about winning? 8-4 ain't winning s***. Being the best team in baseball in 1994 and 2000 menas a lot more to me than Ozzieball and Frank is the numero uno reason we were the best team -
30K would be impressive considering all the colleges are still in session. That's the only reason I think they come up a little short

Ozzie vs. Frank, round one?
Punch and Judy Garland replied to Al Lopez Ghost (old)'s topic in Pale Hose Talk
I am simply amazed that some people think Frank is a part-time player. He is our best hitter and if you don't know that you haven't been watching since last June. I appreciate that soxtalk has been very supportive of Frank lately but they were very behind Lee too and then the spin came. I fear that if Ozzie/KW drive Frank out, opinion around here will do its usual 180. Those guys better be careful though because if they've met JR they should know not to f*** with Frank or Harold Baines. -
Ozzie vs. Frank, round one?
Punch and Judy Garland replied to Al Lopez Ghost (old)'s topic in Pale Hose Talk
I wish Ozzie would shut the f*** up. I don't need to see Frank wave the pom-poms-just hit. What did Frank not do that Ozzie wante dhim to do? Bunt? Steal bases? -
I would hope qwerty that even a lucky condom is only used once.

I would have put Joe Buck much higher. He is a lot better than Jon Miller and many ahead of him. Also, I was diappointed Thom Brennaman failed to make the list. He's very good.

ESPN Sunday Night Baseball -- Braves @ Phillies
Punch and Judy Garland replied to Jabroni's topic in The Diamond Club
I almost feel bad for him he's melted down so badly -
My point about AJ is to reference his numbers from last year vs. his years in Minnesota and there is some concern as to what you are going to get this year. He doesn't K though, which is nice. He was down 0-2 in the 9th today and there was minimal worry about fanning

Sox 2005 Introductions

I hate using Thundersturck. Too cliche for me -
Rowand hasn't earned a move up in the order, in fact no one has. I say that no changes should really be made until we see a bit more. I don't think our lineup will really have its defined roles until late June when The big man is back and we know what we have in Row-Dye. Also, it's too bad that AJ has been such a disappointment at the plate because he would have been a guy you could hit 3 or 5 but he's continued to not hit as well as he did a few eyars ago.

QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Apr 17, 2005 -> 06:35 PM) Joe was 0-3 going into the 9th today. He got an IF hit that resulted in moving a run into 3rd that Jose would not have. At best that point is debatable and I'm not sure if it even matters. Let's not fool ourselves into thinking that infield hits are a big part of Joe's game. They aren't much of Jose's game either but I would bet that Jose gets more of them. Still, I don't think it really matters.
