Dye may rebound to be the player he was on Oakland but it is safe to say that the KC era of his career that some were hoping for is long since past. WIth Frank out longer than expected, Jermaine needs to step up. That said, pressure is not really a huge factor when you are winning.

It is worht noting that afte the grand slam he didn't allow a run over the next 5 plus inning sof his start. We might get to him but his demise is a bit exaggerated. The slide over the last year reminds me a lot of the 2-10 Buehrle start a ways back when everything that could go wrong is.

Maybe with how shaky Orlando has been they want an extra days rest for him

I worry about them. They have all left-handed bats really and teams lefties are killing Cotts right now and Marte can't work all the time. Buehrle has us covered but I worry about our other set-up men and Garland against all of those lefties, not to mention Shingo. Freddy didn't pitch very well against Oakland last year when we faced them and the A's have seen him a lot.

Zitop has thrown well his last two starts and has had great success agains the Sox in his career including last year with a good outing. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for two wins.

Hey Ramon Martinez was pretty special. Anyways, I came away as impressed with bautista as any other pitcher at the 03 futures game. Just electric stuff. that said, he still hasn't harnessed it. He's of the Contreras ilk where he can dominate you or beat himself iwth command problems. Hopefully we get to him early today and are patient at the plate. Lastly, anyone else notice how we were supposedly going to be frugal with using El Duque? With the injury to Jose, that doesn't seem to be in the cards

It's always happened but it appeared more random. Now it's the 5-6 inning like clockwork. Dj isn't good at PBP but the only way to get better is to do it. The 49ers have to be added to the Grad A list bu the others were good choices. I think Arizona nad San Francisco are more or less going to be the consensus top drafts. YOu really have to like Green int he 3rd and Arrington in the 2nd for Arizona while SF gets a lot of credit for sticking to their guns on Smith and Gore is intriguing as a third rounder with a Kevin Barlow who needs a swift kick in the ass. I didn't get the Bills thing. I understood TE, and I understood Parrish since Reed has underachieved but it was the second receiver that surprised me. One other ogod draft has to be the Jets. Even though they didn't have a #1 and picked a kicker very high, everything worked out great. They got BOTH guys they wanted with the Clemson corner and a big upgrade at K. They didn't have a lot of needs and conventional wisdom says they didn't do anything great but they are a better football tema todya thna yesterday (and they were a playoff team yesterday)

Benson's interview after makes you feel a little less good about the pick but it's not a bad one. I do worry that Williams is going to really try to make Chicago and Minnesota big time victims for passing on him. I feel that they should go outside linebacker and I feel that they will. Lovie heavily hinted at that the other day. I think they will wait until the third for a reciever or move up into the end of the second if they really like someone. Angelo's drafts in the first have been questionable but he's done well in rounds 2-4 the last few years.

Listen rangercal, let's meet somewhere in the middle at least. I liek Ozzie. I really do. He's the first pro player I've ever met. I'll never foreget it. I just don't get why he and KW can't no comment the past. I feel that they can't get over it at all. The players liek Lee and Ordonez are expected to speak on it because they are asked. As the manager, Ozzie needs to take the higher road or he shouldn't be in such a prominent position. I have no problem with you but I do have a problem with you questioning my loyalties, unless it was in jest in which case I don't mind. I can't think of a 12-4 team besides ourselves whrer the fans would be so obsessed with the past. Please people: move on.
