Ordonez calls Sox skipper his 'enemy'
Punch and Judy Garland replied to South Side Fireworks Man's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Guillen is a prick, pure and simple. -
Millwood? It's kind of silly to rip him with how solid he's been. I don't hat eto say I told you so but I thought they needed a veteran bat liek they had in Thome. I don't really buy the career year theory just becaus ethey wre really young. I still expect 80 or more wins out of the Tribe. Millwood, Sabathia, and Westbrook will be solid enough to help them compete. Westbrook has like 0.5 runs per start for support which has to go up
-
Hey he was almost a White Sox plaeyr and in fact, the odds may have gone up yesterday that he'll be one in 06.

Not THE stretch btu for a stretch of time and they didn't miss a beat. It's probably overrated in the American League but very important in the NL

Who is your fav Sox Mgr of all time
Punch and Judy Garland replied to Winnin Ugly's topic in Pale Hose Talk
How is Ozzie better than Jerry, at least so far? I like Ozzie and I'm not a big Jerry guy but it's 1-0 in Division titles so I don't see a huge disparity anyways -
Give it up for Reggie Miller

Iam ,or was, a Kinck fan. I hav egrown to respect him. He's gone out the way you hope your favorite player would go out (even though he;s not mine). I used to think he was a punk but now I think that was just part of his game. It was a great ceremony last night and legitimately touching. Here's to Reggie who went out like a champ. -
Kiper on top draft picks/Bears
Punch and Judy Garland replied to southsider2k5's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Any chance this whole "Benson has a lot of miles on him" thing will embarrass most of us in a couple of years? Maybe. -
Love him or hate him I can honestly say that Rome doesn't play to coastal biases too much. He covers a fair amount of west coast being an LA guy but he's not like the Bristol boys.

Gardenhire has proven to me that lineups COULD be overrated. Jose Offerman as a cleanup hiter for a stretch as a playoff team makes me question everything

WHover had dee in his avatar is a big fan of DJ and I think he lieks Williams over Edwards. Don't get me wrong, I like Braylon a lot and I would take him. But, he is NOT Andre Johnson, Chuckles Rogers, or Roy Williams as a prospect. That doesn't mean he's bad but I think he's going to be more like an Ashley Lelie type that catches 70 balls for 1000 yards and 7 td's. That's perfectly acceptable too. -

Jerry Manuel-manager of the year. just saying. Anyways, I just wanted to say that this is an OUTSTANDING topic. It's threads like these that make me appreciate this site. -
LMAO @ Steve A. Smith

I love Walton. Nobody, and I mena nobody loves basketball more than he does. If you heard the way he treats his fan then you'd like him. You should hear some of the stories. I know a few that make me proud to be a fan of his. In fact, I liked him a lot more after hearing them. I can't really defend liking Tolbert but he's goofy which at least means he has personality -

Bevington? Just kidding. It's nto goign to be a popular choice but as a 22 year old, I'll go with Torborg. That 1990 team was as fun of a team as I've seen and I think he was good with young players. He was kind of the early for of Ozzieball in Chicago -

I don't know about you but I can stand to not see Mike Macdougal after the 03 domination of us. I know its a new eyar but let's not face him if we can help it -
Polanco is doable if you pay the king's ransom but Furcal is a joke. He's a great player on a contending team. Depodesta is PROBABLY willign to move Izturis in spite of their record due to his salary but the asking price would likely exceed Furcal. I think it would be the likes of Guzman and Latroy Hawkins which is just not doable.

Official Cubs-Cards Thread
Punch and Judy Garland replied to Punch and Judy Garland's topic in The Diamond Club
you are right but some people are into the rivalry. It was a great game although I must say Im pretty buzzed for a Thursday afternoon. Walker and ROeln gave insurance and Carpenter was great -
I'd bet imaginary soxtalk bucks that he's out for the year. It looked like an awful tear. Pulls don't do that to a tough athlete like that. I sure hate the Cubs and am embarrassed to say I revel in the demise of the Cubs pitchers but I do feel bad for Nomar because I thought he'd have an MVP year and at his age the HOF window is closing for what was once a sure thing

I won't be around as I'm skipping two classes to go the bar at noon (roll up). Should be a good one today for Cubbie haters as I imagine Dempster will get shelled by the big boys

There isn't room at espn for David Aldridge or Douible D David Dupree is there? I believe that espn has prevented either from appearing much on pti so that they use their guys like Tolbert (who I sorta like) or Smith -
2005 All-Star Ballots Now Open...
Punch and Judy Garland replied to SoxFan1's topic in Pale Hose Talk
The Yankee fans will vote in Soriano at second so that's just a yankee once removed. I worry about our guys because it's obvious that Joe Torre didn't watch us before the break lst year (Loaiza over Buehrle based on 03 rep) -

Punch and Judy Garland replied to SoxFan1's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Yeah this is just idiotic to put them out now. I guess they want to start pumping out those Sawx-Yanks votes right now -
Looks like he settled down fine. He was really good last time out in the loss.
-
Judy is an iffy fantasy player because he doesn't strike guys out. I guess if you are pitching starved in a deep league he's a decent option

I don't think we'll get 7 because Bondo is really good but hopefully 4-5. The bats cam alive tonight so let's carry it over -
